Chapter 51: The Standoff
The air in the warehouse seemed to freeze as Mira pointed the gun at Venom. Leo's eyes widened in surprise, and Venom's smile faltered for a moment before she regained her composure.
"Ah, Mira," Venom said, her voice calm and collected. "You're really going to play hero, aren't you?"
Mira's hands shook as she held the gun, her eyes fixed on Venom. "Sh..shut up," she stuttered, trying to keep her voice steady.
Leo took a step forward, his eyes locked onto Mira. "Mira, don't do this I can't let this motherfucker die I need answers," he said, his voice calm ".
But Mira's mind was made up. She had seen the pain and suffering Venom had caused leo, and she knew she had to act.
Venom, on the other hand, seemed unfazed by the gun pointed at her. She even smiled, a cold and calculating smile. "Go ahead, Mira," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "Pull the trigger. I dare you."
The tension in the warehouse was palpable, and it seemed like time was standing still. Mira's finger tightened on the trigger, and Leo's eyes locked onto hers, his face set in a desperate plea for her not to do it.
