Chapter 45: The Hidden Earpiece
Mira's eyes locked onto Venom's, her expression a mask of calm determination. Unbeknownst to Venom, Mira wore a tiny earpiece, courtesy of Don Matteo's tech team. Through this earpiece, Leo and Don Matteo were listening in on the conversation, their faces etched with concern.
Leo's eyes widened in shock as he heard Venom's voice. "She's a female," he whispered to Don Matteo, his voice barely audible. "The mastermind behind all this is a female."
Don Matteo's face was a picture of stunned silence. He hadn't expected this twist, and for a moment, he was left speechless.
Meanwhile, Mira kept her cool, her voice steady as she replied to Venom. "I've come to finalize our plan, Venom. Let's get down to business."
Venom's smile grew wider, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, Mira. You're so eager to play. I love it."
Through the earpiece, Leo's voice whispered urgently in Mira's ear. "Mira, be careful. We don't know whats her next move."
