Chapter 2: 100x Reward Mode

God's Domain is a fully immersive virtual reality game that connects directly to a player's consciousness, allowing them to experience the world as if it were real.

It was built using an autonomous quantum AI system spread across secure, undisclosed servers, making it impossible for any single group to control. No government, corporation, or developer can interfere with its systems, rules, or economy.

Shi Feng thought so as he passed through a multicolored tunnel, entering God's Domain, and arriving in a solemn, golden temple.

A palm-sized female angel with four pairs of wings gently flew toward him.

"Hello, Adventurer. Welcome to God's Domain. I am the Navigation Angel, Gabriel. I will introduce to you the four main categories and twelve primary jobs. Please choose the job you like the most."

With a small wave of her hand, she was about to display the twelve main jobs, When Shi Feng spoke confidently.

"No need to show me other jobs. I will be a swordsman."

In his previous life, Shi Feng had chosen Swordsman under Weapons Specialists. He was once famed as the Sword Magician.

He had already invested too much into the Swordsman class to consider any other path.

Without hesitation, he selected Swordsman again, the class he was most familiar with.

"Job selection complete. Please designate a name for your character."

Shi Feng didn't waste much time in this process as well and spoke, "Ye—"

However, an unexpected system message interrupted him. Not from the angel, but from God's Domain System itself.

[Player detected with mysterious marks engraved on the body.]

[Scanning marks...]

At the same time, Shi Feng felt the scar on his chest, hidden under his clothes, start to glow faintly.

"What...? Is the system talking about this scar?" Looking down, he exclaimed in puzzlement.

This scar had confused Shi Feng since the day of his reincarnation. It looked like a wound left by a blade stabbing into him but he had no memory of ever being stabbed, neither in his first life nor from his future memories.

He couldn't recall any event that would have caused such a mark.

Suddenly, the system glitched.

[#%&Error occurred. &%#/#%&Error occurred. &%#]

[Quick System Adaptation mode activated.]

[Congratulations! Player has extracted the hidden talent: 100x Reward Mode from the mysterious marks.]

Shi Feng stared at the system messages and read them one by one, over again and again, stunned.

"What...?"

He carefully read every word.

"This... this is game-breaking stuff. No, it's beyond broken... It's insane! Unbelievable! How can something like this even exist in God's Domain?!"

This had never happened before, not in his first life, nor in the memories of the future he carried.

No one in God's Domain had ever awakened a unique talent like this. In the first place, there was no such thing as "awakening talents" in the game system.

So... why now?

What triggered this sudden change? Could the scar itself be responsible?

He glanced at the smiling angel Gabriel.

Oddly, she showed no reaction to the strange system announcement.

"Please choose your name," she said sweetly, as if nothing unusual had occurred. It became clear that only Shi Feng saw the System message.

Shi Feng turned toward her and asked, "Wait. Has there ever been anything like an awakening talent before?"

Gabriel blinked.

"Sorry? I don't know of anything like that. Please choose your name," she replied gently, urging him to proceed.

Even more confused, Shi Feng decided to leave the matter for later investigation.

"Shi Feng," he said calmly.

This time, unlike his previous life, he chose not to hide his identity. Back then, he thought using a fake name would protect him from danger.

But now... with the 100x Reward Mode Talent, the rules had changed.

He didn't need to stay in the shadows anymore. Even if enemies came after him, he was confident he could handle them.

Not because of his future memories alone but because this new, game-breaking talent gave him an overwhelming edge.

[Naming successful. Would you like to adjust your appearance? Adjustment limit: 15%.]

Shi Feng thought for a moment.

"No need to adjust."

Just as the first choice, he chose to keep his original appearance. Because unlike his past life, this time... he wanted to live with fame and recognition.

No more hiding in the shadows. No more being underestimated by everyone.

This time, he would stand at the very top. He would show the entire world that no one but him deserved to claim the throne of God's Domain.

And these weren't just empty words.

It was none other than Shi Feng who declared this ambition, making it not some wild dream, but a completely reasonable development.

"Please select a starting city within the Star-Moon Kingdom."

Next, a detailed map appeared in front of him, showing dozens of cities in the Star-Moon Kingdom.

Shi Feng grinned.

"Is that even a question?"

"Send me to White River City."

He didn't plan to choose any other city. White River City was the place he knew best.

Ranked fifth among the Star-Moon Kingdom's cities, it was an important northern hub. Many Workshops settled there to avoid the constant power struggles between the larger guilds.

"City confirmed. Player will arrive in Red Leaf Town, White River City, in three seconds. Wishing you a happy gaming experience."

The world around Shi Feng blurred and shifted as the teleportation began.

The next second, the scene around him shifted.

When his vision cleared, he found himself in Red Leaf Town. The buildings were arranged chaotically, reminiscent of medieval villages. NPCs filled the bustling streets, giving the place a lively, almost otherworldly feel.

He appeared on a church, his avatar looking every bit the penniless swordsman.

One after another, figures appeared beside him, squeezing and pushing him off.

It was obviously the peak time when countless players were logging into the game.

Shi Feng quickly stepped away, finally having room to look around.

All around him were people dressed just like him but many others had already put on simple white cloth shirts and swords in their hands.

Seeing this, Shi Feng didn't hesitate. He opened his backpack right away.

In the first slot lay a Novice Gift Bag. Without a second thought, he tapped it twice.

[Ding! Congratulations, Player Shi Feng, you have received the Novice Sword. The Hundredfold Reward has been triggered. You have obtained: Bronze Equipment—White Steel Sword.]

[Ding! Congratulations, Player Shi Feng, you have received the Novice Cloth. The Hundredfold Reward has been triggered. You have obtained: Bronze Equipment—Reinforced Wildhide Armor.]

Shi Feng froze.

His guess had been right. The Hundredfold Reward was no joke.

But he hadn't expected it to be this outrageous.

His heart pounded as he hurried to check the new equipment in his backpack.

[White Steel Sword] (Bronze): Level 1

Attack +35 Strength +15

[Reinforced Wildhide Armor] (Bronze): Level 1

HP +250 Defense +20

"Hiss...they are too good for a novice player."

Shi Feng sucked in a sharp breath, excitement clearly lit up in his eyes.

With these two items, he could practically run wild in the entire Red Leaf Town.

After all, every player started at Level 0.

Apart from 100 base HP, all other attributes were below 10.

The only thing players could decide right away were the 4 free stat points.

Strength, Intelligence, Agility, Endurance, Vitality.

Swordsman focused on Strength.

Mages and healers raised Intelligence.

Assassins and Rangers chose Agility.

Warriors boosted Endurance.

And Vitality? They affected recovery rates of health value and magic point, so it was for most professions.

This was all basic knowledge clearly explained in the "God's Domain" expansion.

Anyone serious about this game had already memorized it. However, there was a slight twist in the actual game.

Without hesitation, Shi Feng opened his attributes panel and dumped all 4 free points into Agility.

In the early game, very few players understood the true value of speed. Everyone thought raw strength was king. More attack meant faster kills, after all.

But this assumption would later become one of the greatest regrets for countless players.

Only much later did the top experts reveal the hidden truth that speed mattered far more than strength in the early stages.

With higher speed, you could dodge, land more hits, and control the flow of battle.

Besides, with the [Blue Steel Sword] adding 35 of attacks, even Level 5 wild monsters wouldn't be able to survive his assaults.

Looking up, Shi Feng saw other players streaming in town gates one by one, walking toward the town hall.

No time to waste.

He quickly equipped the Armor and gripped the Sword tightly.

A gasp came from nearby.

"Damn! Is that bronze equipment? Are my eyes playing tricks on me?!"

Someone else cursed softly.

"Where the hell did this guy get bronze gear? Didn't the game just start... so he must be a newbie like us?"

"It doesn't matter where he got those from. It's just Bronze rank. Once we hunt a few monsters, we'll get the same," another player sneered.

Little did they know that monster has very low drop rates at the start and getting even a single common equipment can be considered lucky.

Shi Feng ignored the voices behind him. They could talk all they wanted.

Like a blur, he dashed toward the Town Hall, heading straight for the Town Mayor standing not far away.
