On the card surface, instructions were engraved on how to transfer money to it. Following the instructions on the card, Lean lay down the card on the ground and placed his watch on top of it.
[Total amount of money within your identity watch: 160,501. Transferring 100,000 of it. (Yes or No.)]
Lean stared at the amount of money he had left on his watch and muttered in a low voice. "It's only been more than a year since you left, and this is all I have left." Before pressing the Yes option on the card.
He looked up in the sky contemplating his action. Was this a good thing or not? He wasn't sure about it.
But seeing how he already is a supernatural being, he knew it would only be a matter of time till he becomes a living bomb.
From the things he knew about supernatural beings, one needs to release their energy on the surface before reaching the age of 20.
Lean was already at the age of 20 this year, which also means that the rule has already been applied to him.
Before doing anything at this time. He needed to get stronger as fast as he could so his survival rate on the surface could rise, even for a bit.
[Congratulations, Owner, you have successfully done your first transaction with the card.]
[Next transaction available: 1 month.]
{••Gold: 1,000.••}
[As your first transaction with the card you can choose 5 things within the card.]
[Limited to skills and traits only.]
Reading the card words, Lean did not hesitate to take what he wanted from the card. He already knew what he wanted to get, he just needed to know if they were available.
— — —
"Finally done!" Lean celebrates after choosing what he wanted in the card and buying things within it using the gold he has.
Looking up at the dark sky. "This took so long it's already night again."
After reading the words in the card, Lean and went spent time scrolling through the Card Store for hours, looking for the things he wanted.
Lean made sure he used his first transaction gift card to its best, buying the most expensive skills and traits within it.
He brought two skills both costing ten thousand gold. Three traits, the first two only cost ten thousand like his chosen skills, but the third trait was worth over one million gold.
After that, he went and brought a weapon and potions using his gold coins. His weapon cost only four hundred gold. After buying the potions he wanted, he was left with only 20 gold coins.
"Card, show me my Attributes window," Lean demanded of the card. The first thing to appear before him was the skills he chose before..
[••Skills••]
[••Water fingers, Level 1.••]
[Description: Shoot a 2-inch bullet of water from your fingers. Uses: 15. Cool down: 1 second.]
[••Fire fingers, Level 1.••]
[Description: Shoot a 1-inch bullet of fire from your finger. Uses: 10. Cool down: 3 seconds.]
"They have weird names, but it's definitely the best skills I can have and use to their best potential."
[••Traits••]
[••Martial body.••]
[Description: Your body will know and understand the basics of martial arts.]
[••Dark eye.••]
[Description: You can see the outline of everything within your sight.]
[••Soul area.••]
[Description: Anything that is connected to you and part of the card can be placed inside your Soul.]
"Martial body, simple yet good. With it alone, it increased my survivability and ability to defend myself. Truly worth ten thousand golds." He nodded satisfied with his choice.
"Dark eye seems useless at first, but with the surface having no light within it, it will show its strength. With this, I can see the monster hidden within the naked eye move. In terms of combat ability, it has none, but like the first one, what I want is to increase my survivability, not my combat ability."
Lean paused for a bit, blinking multiple times and taking a deep breath before moving to the last one.
"Finally, the most expensive out of them all. Soul Area. It's technically an item box and an inventory to those system users but it has the most potential out of the three traits I chose."
… …. ….
"On its description, it tells me I can send anything connected to me and part of the card within my soul. Since I can send what's connected to me, this means I can potentially send my physical body within my soul at some point in the future."
"Of course, the most obvious reason I chose it is the ability to store things within a safe dimension." Lean bend over, taking a fist full of dirt below, slowly he breaths and sends it to his Soul.
"I can feel it within me now." He muttered, slowly bringing it back to him. Gazing at the hovering dirt in the air, Lean slowly stopped thinking of it as part of him.
"I just need to consider things around me as part of me and I can send it to my soul. A really useful ability."
Lean is satisfied with the skills and traits he has. But there was still an empty void within him, as if the world was telling him all of this won't matter on the surface.
"I probably only have three months at best before my body starts showing symptoms of exploding." Still, Lean knows what he needs to do at this time is to get stronger and not to have this stupid thought within him.
"Starting tomorrow I'll start training. But! Before that, let's test these skills' power first." Standing up, Lean pointed at the trees in the rabbit forest.
Within his sight, he could see the outline of the rabbit hopping around near the edge of it. Closing one of his eyes, he locked onto the tree roots just near the rabbit sleeping there.
Slowly, he whispered, "Fire finger… blast!" Lean felt his body losing heat and energy, and slowly the heat and energy that disappeared within him made their way into his finger.
It spirals around his arm, creating a small spark on the way, creating this 1-inch bullet of compressed fire at the tip of it. Feeling the heat from the bullet, Lean slowly stiffened his finger, letting go of the bullet.
SWOSH!
The bullet was fast, as its name suggests it had the same speed as it. As it neared the forest tree, a wind came through curving it away from the rabbit.
BAM!
A small explosion quickly formed the moment it hit the ground, scaring the rabbit hopping around it. It was small, yet powerful. Lean was satisfied with his skill, power, and strength, so he stayed silent as the fire caught on the ground.
".... Shit! I can't afford a forest fire!" He screamed, running back inside his house to grab a bucket of water to put out the fire.
