Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Can We Take a Shower Together?

A h-hotel room?

I was absolutely stunned.

If I were still in my male body, I could've understood Luo Shiyu saying this—and I would've joked boldly, "Let's go! I'll show you what a real man is like." But the problem was, I was in Xu Ke'er's female body now. What was the point of getting a hotel room with her? This was ridiculous!

Besides, in my experience, people only got hotel rooms to do… intimate things. What if she tried to touch me? Should I refuse? Or give in?

I wiped the sweat off my forehead—my heart was racing.

Seeing how shocked I was, Luo Shiyu immediately put on a hurt expression. "Ke'er, be honest—have you really fallen for that loser Zhang Qiang?"

Ugh! What does that have to do with me? And next time you say my name, can you stop adding "loser" in front of it? You don't have to like me, but don't insult me—I have dignity too!

But I could only think these words; I didn't dare say them out loud.

"You're overthinking it," I replied.

"Then why were you in such a hurry to see him earlier? And why did you two leave alone? Is there something you can't tell me?" Luo Shiyu pressed.

Lady, who I want to see, who I leave with, and what I talk about—none of that is your business! You're just my roommate, not my girlfriend. Can't you mind your own business?

Just as I thought that, my phone buzzed.

I pulled it out and saw a text from an unknown number: If Luo Shiyu takes you to a hotel, don't go. If you dare, just wait and see how I'll deal with you.

If I hadn't seen "your ladyship" at the end, I would've had no idea it was Xu Ke'er.

But this confirmed one thing: she knew Luo Shiyu planned to get a room with her. What the hell is going on between these two? Do girls these days really do this? There are already so few single women in China—if you're gonna act like this, no wonder us guys can't find girlfriends!

But looking back: when Zhou Yu and Lin Yuqiao left, I said I wanted to go back to the dorm, but Luo Shiyu had said, "Back to the dorm? Didn't you promise me something earlier?" Then there was how she was cold to everyone else but gentle to me, how she'd stood up for me in danger and pulled me away, how she'd asked if I was okay afterward, how she'd waited for me here… and now she wanted to take me to a hotel.

All the signs pointed to one thing: Luo Shiyu really liked Xu Ke'er. Wait—are they lesbians?

Dammit, this is a sick joke.

"Who was that text from?" Luo Shiyu suddenly asked.

Seeing her leaning in to look, I quickly closed the app, stuffed the phone back in my pocket, and said, "Nothing—just Zhou Yu asking when we'll be back."

Luo Shiyu pressed again: "Ke'er, why do I feel like you're different today than usual?"

I thought: I feel like you're different too.

But what I actually said was: "Really? I don't think so. Maybe it's because I got hit in the head fighting Yu Xiaoman last night—it still hasn't recovered. I've been dizzy all day."

Luo Shiyu believed me. She immediately asked, "Are you still dizzy now? Should we go to the hospital for a checkup?"

Her worry only confirmed it: she is a lesbian, and she only likes Xu Ke'er.

Dammit! Being stuck in Xu Ke'er's body is bad enough, but now I've run into a lesbian like Luo Shiyu? What kind of bad karma did I accumulate in my past life?

I had no choice. To convince Luo Shiyu I was really Xu Ke'er, I had to pretend I was still dizzy—hoping she'd take pity on me, skip the hotel, and take me back to the dorm.

But life is like a prank; it never goes your way.

Luo Shiyu supported me and said, "Come on—there's a hotel up ahead. Let's get a room to rest."

Lady, that's not what I meant! Can't you stop assuming things?

Seeing Luo Shiyu was dead set on it, I couldn't think of an excuse to refuse. So I had to go along. On the way to the hotel, I thought: Xu Ke'er, I tried my best, but your Luo Shiyu is really determined to do this.

Luo Shiyu supported me as we left the night market, turned left, and soon reached a hotel. She used her ID to book a room, then helped me upstairs.

Once we were in the room, she helped me onto the bed and asked, "Are you still dizzy?"

I nodded slightly. Pretending to be dizzy was the only way to get her to leave me alone.

It's not that I was scared of something happening between us—it just felt wrong. And being in a woman's body, I couldn't even imagine that kind of scene.

Besides, if Xu Ke'er found out I'd gotten a hotel room with Luo Shiyu and… well, done things… she'd tear me apart! I didn't want to get hurt for no reason.

Seeing I was still dizzy, Luo Shiyu said, "Okay, lie down and rest first. I'll get you some hot water."

Watching her pour the water and help me drink it, she looked so gentle. I thought: Why can't she just find a boyfriend? Then when she gets a hotel room, she can really enjoy herself.

After drinking the water, I lay back down, thinking: I'll just sleep through tonight. Everything will be fine tomorrow.

Luo Shiyu said, "Ke'er, rest well. I'm gonna take a shower."

With that, she walked toward the bathroom.

I froze as I watched her go in.

Dammit! What kind of designer did this hotel hire? Why install a glass shower? Would it kill them to add a few more bricks for privacy?

The timing, the setting, everything was pushing me: Go on, take a look! She's so beautiful—you have to seize the chance.

Luo Shiyu turned around, saw me in the bathroom doorway, and smiled softly before starting to undress.

In all honesty, I'm a decent guy who can control himself. I really didn't want to take advantage of Luo Shiyu. But… right now, I really wished I was a man again.

I stared, unblinking, as Luo Shiyu showered. My throat felt dry.

After a minute, I thought my nose was running. I touched it—dammit, I was nosebleeding!

I rushed back to the bed to get tissues and wipe it off.

Luckily, Luo Shiyu was facing away from me. If she'd seen the nosebleed, who knows what kind of scene she would've made?

She finished showering and came out wrapped in a towel.

She walked over, lifted the covers, and sat next to me. I turned my back to her, too scared to look—afraid my eyes would lock onto her body and refuse to look away.

But to my surprise, Luo Shiyu lay down behind me, wrapped her right arm around my waist, and pressed her face against my back—docile as a cat.

Lady, I still smell like hot pot! Don't you mind? Can't you mind a little? Stop forcing this on me!

Luo Shiyu whispered in my ear, "Ke'er, why won't you turn around?"

First put on some clothes.

"Shiyu, I… I still smell really bad. I'm afraid I'll gross you out. Can I move over a little?" I said, inching forward.

But I'd barely moved when Luo Shiyu's hand stopped me. "Ke'er, don't leave me."

With that, she pressed even closer.

Dammit! If I were still a guy, I'd teach you a lesson. But now… you've got the upper hand.

"Shiyu…" I started.

"Call me Shiyu," she corrected softly.

I hurried to change my tone. "Shiyu, why do you like me instead of guys?"

I wanted to know the real reason—maybe I could talk her out of this. I couldn't take her acting like this anymore.

"Didn't I tell you last time? Don't ask. I don't want to talk about it," Luo Shiyu said, sounding upset.

Since I couldn't get an answer, I didn't know what else to say.

Honestly, why wasn't Luo Shiyu grossed out by me? I was grossed out by myself! I smelled like hot pot, I was sweaty, and my clothes stuck to my skin. I needed a shower badly—but with that glass shower, I couldn't possibly wash in front of Luo Shiyu. I was torn.

After thinking for a second, I turned around and said, "Shiyu, can you go downstairs to get me something to eat? I'm hungry."

My plan was: if she left to buy food, I could rush to take a quick shower.

"Didn't we eat at the night market?" Luo Shiyu asked.

"But I still want more," I said, frowning and pouting like a poor little kid. I didn't even know why I made that face.

Luo Shiyu tapped my forehead with her index finger. "You really can eat. Aren't you afraid of gaining weight?"

She sat up, tightened her towel, and went to get her clothes.

"Ugh, it smells terrible," she said.

I turned to see her throwing her clothes on the floor, her face scrunched up in disgust.

I knew she was grossed out by the hot pot smell on her clothes. I quickly said, "Right! I smell bad too, and I'm all sticky. Why don't we go back to the dorm?"

I didn't think it through—going back to the dorm would mean dealing with the other two roommates. That would be even worse!

Luo Shiyu immediately shot down my idea. "Nice try. Here's what we'll do: I'll call Zhou Yu and ask her to bring our clothes. Once I change, I'll go downstairs to get you food."

Dammit! You won't even go back? It looks like you're dead set on "having" me tonight.

Luo Shiyu made the call. After hanging up, she started to get back in bed. But when she lifted the covers, she paused, her brows furrowed. "Ke'er, you really do smell bad. Why not take a shower?"

It looks like I can't avoid this tonight. If you want to play this game, fine—I'll play along.

I grabbed the blanket with my right hand and yanked it off in one swift motion.

The blanket flew open with a swish.

I lifted my slender legs, moved them off the bed, and set my feet on the floor. Then I did a quick sit-up to stand up—my face cold and determined, like I was walking to my death—as I headed for the bathroom.

Total badass energy.

I stepped inside and turned to close the door—only to find Luo Shiyu standing right behind me. Her sudden appearance startled me. "Y-You're here? I thought you were over there…"

Before I could finish, Luo Shiyu smiled softly and said, "Ke'er, can we take a shower together?"

Without waiting for my answer, the towel wrapped around her body slipped to the floor.
