The air in the chamber felt heavier.
Katherine looked pale while Arin stared at Arel like he didn't know what was real anymore while
"You're saying," Arin said slowly, "that this entire life… is because of a time-wheeling technique?"
"Yes, a time-wheeling technique." Arel replied then turned to Daphne.
"I didn't think I'll remember," he said. "But I'm glad I did."
Daphne stood still.
Alaric's voice was the one that broke the stillness.
"Move."
He pulled Arel up from the chair and began leading him forward.
They all followed behind him in silence. The corridor felt longer than usual.
When they reached the wide doors that led out to the field, Kael and Kira were already waiting.
Kael held a dark net cloth in his hands. He stepped forward and paused briefly before covering Arel's face.
Kira adjusted the chains on his wrists, then nodded to the other knights by the door who then pushed the doors open.
