Chapter 22 - The First Win

With her ability activated, Ary became an unstoppable force. Each movement was precise, measured, and executed with perfect timing. Her sword danced through the air, a blur of motion that sliced through the void like a force of nature. Torvath, despite his immense power and mastery of darkness, found himself outclassed at every turn. His attempts to block her strikes were futile; every time he raised a hand or summoned a shadowy wall to intercept, Ary's blade would find a way to slip through.

She was relentless, and the more she fought, the more she seemed to embody the very essence of balance and perfection. Torvath's confidence began to waver as Ary's strikes began to grow even sharper, each cut slicing through the void itself as if the universe itself bent to her will.

Torvath's patience was running thin. Realizing he could not keep up with her speed and precision, he decided it was time to bring out his domain, something that would give him the upper hand.

---

Torvath took a deep breath and started to pull on the power of his Abyssal Eclipse. The shadows around him thickened, swirling like a storm, threatening to devour everything in their path. His eyes glowed with a menacing red light, and the darkness around him began to form into the shape of massive, crushing claws.

Ary, however, wasn't going to give him the time to fully manifest his power.

"Trying to activate your domain, eh? Well, too bad!" Ary shouted, her voice tinged with battle lust. "Let's end this!"

|Blade of Neyru - Balance|

Ary's blade flickered as she shifted her stance. Her Neyru blade, once dull and black, glowed brightly—the blade now radiating a pure white light that contrasted against the oppressive blackness of Torvath's domain.

This was Blade of Neyru—one of the most famous techniques passed down through the Neyru bloodline. Every member of the Neyru clan possessed the Blade of Neyru, but Ary had made this ability her own—twisting it into something even more lethal by adding the aspect of Balance.

Blade of Neyru - Balance

-Absolute Precision: The skill allowed Ary's strike to hit its mark without fail, no matter the defenses in place. The light strike cut through all resistance, as if calculating the exact angle, pressure, and speed to pierce the enemy's defense.

-Harmonized Force: The Balance aspect added an additional layer to the attack—it didn't just cut, it leveled the playing field. The strike's force was perfectly balanced so that no matter how much power the target had, the force would remain equalized. This meant that Torvath, despite his immense power, would feel the strike with the same intensity as if Ary were fighting someone at the same level. No matter his size, strength, or domain, Ary's blade would pierce through the balance he had over his shadows.

-Disruption of Power: The strike didn't just cause damage—it disrupted the natural flow of power within the target's body. When Ary used this skill, it neutralized Torvath's Abyssal Eclipse, preventing him from using his domain for a brief period. It was as though the energy within his body became unsettled, his ability to channel dark power temporarily erased.

The moment Ary's blade pierced Torvath's chest, the entire space seemed to freeze. The glowing white light from her blade contrasted sharply against the black abyssal energy that surrounded them, and for an instant, everything became clear.

"HAHA! You had me worried for a—" Torvath's cocky laugh was cut short. He looked down at the blade now embedded in his chest.

Before he could react, a sudden jolt of energy surged through his body, and his eyes lost their light. The abyssal energy surrounding him collapsed inward, and the giant devil fell through the void like a broken puppet, his body dissolving into darkness as the life drained from him. He vanished without a sound.

With Torvath dealt with, Ary turned her focus to the rest of the battle. The Devils were still pouring in from their warships, their numbers seemingly endless. However, the strain of battle had taken its toll on Ary. Her once-perfect dress was now tattered and stained, her face marred with bruises. She could feel her body aching, and she knew she was reaching the end of her strength. Despite her immense power and the effectiveness of her balance domain, she was exhausted.

As the battle raged on, Ary barely had time to catch her breath when a familiar presence approached her from the distance.

A middle-aged man with short-cropped hair and a stern face landed beside her, followed by thousands of reinforcements. His clothes bore the insignia of a clan leader.

"Princess Ary," the man called out, his voice urgent. "We're here to assist. Let's finish this!"

His name was Ax, a Clan Leader of the Draegon Clan. He was known for his strategic brilliance and his exceptional combat skills.

Before Ary could speak, Ax lifted her effortlessly, carrying her in his arms as he shouted to his troops:

"Hurry! Help the princesses' troops defend! We need to hold the line at all costs!"

He rushed back into the barrier, toward the Neyru Capital, Ary still in his arms, her exhaustion evident. Her once towering presence was now reduced to a battered but determined leader. But even though her body had been pushed to its limits, Ary's spirit remained unbroken.
