Chapter 2 - EXPUNGED RECORDS

The creature's scream interrupted the proceedings.

"I invoke my pardon!!!"

Dame Fate's chuckle was cold and mirthless.

"No pardon can save you," she said.

Truth's response was unexpected.

"But one."

Dame Fate's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with the implications of the pardon.

"The pardon?" she thought to herself.

"How did he manage to obtain it?"

There was only one pardon in all of existence that's could clear a crime of this magnitude, and it was said that only ythe most extraordinary circumstances could warrant its invocation.

She glanced at Truth, who seemed unfazed by the sudden turn of events.

"The pardon changes nothing," Dame Fate said aloud, trying to maintain the momentum of the trial.

But Truth's response had thrown a wrench into the works, and the archivers exchanged nervous glances, their reactions varying.

Some looked concerned, their faces etched with worry and doubt.

Others seemed intrigued by the sudden development, their eyes sparkling with curiosity.

One archiver whispered, "The stories are true the man is full of surprises, expect nothing less."

Another nodded in agreement.

"The pardon has changed everything."

A third archiver frowned, their expression skeptical.

"But what about justice?"

"So the creature won't be held accountable for its crimes?"

Dame Fate's face twisted in a mixture of anger and frustration as she heard that.

"This is not over," she thought to herself.

She would not let the creature's pardon stand in the way of her justice.

"I will find a way to make sure he pays for his crimes," she vowed.

Truth, meanwhile, seemed to be enjoying the drama.

Its expression was calm and collected, but its eyes sparkled with amusement.

"The pardon is valid," Truth repeated, its voice firm.

Dame Fate's eyes locked onto Truth, her gaze pleading.

"Truth, please," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Dismiss the pardon."

"Let justice be served."

Truth's expression remained calm, but its eyes seemed to bore into Dame Fate's soul.

"I am bound by the rules of the Celestial Tribunal," Truth replied.

"But I also have the authority to dismiss the pardon."

Dame Fate's eyes lit up with hope.

"Please, Truth," she pleaded.

"Dismiss the pardon."

"Let him face the consequences of his actions."

Truth's gaze fell upon the creature, its expression unreadable.

For a moment, there was silence.

The archivers held their breath, their eyes fixed on Truth.

Then, Truth spoke.

"The pardon stands."

Dame Fate's face fell, her eyes wide with disappointment.

But she refused to give up.

She would find a way to make sure the creature paid for its crimes, even if it meant going beyond the bounds of the trial.

The archivers watched with bated breath, sensing that the trial was far from over for the Dame.

Some archivers leaned forward, their eyes fixed on the creature.

Others scribbled notes on their parchments, documenting every detail of the trial.

The air was thick with tension, as the observers waited to see what would happen next.

Dame Fate's determination was clear.

She would not rest until justice was served.

Time and time again this fucker had escaped his punishment and when she finally had him

He pulls this off and quite frankly she was tired of dealing with him and second time was not her cup of tea.

The stupid Pardon had changed the course of this trial.

The creature's pardon had added a new layer of complexity to the once clear cut verdict.

So she did the only thing she could do complain like a spoiled child.

Why your excellency

Dame Fate's face contorted in a mixture of anger and frustration.

"This is absurd!" she exclaimed, her voice rising in indignation.

"How can this be? The creature's crimes are heinous, and yet it escapes punishment due to a technicality?"

The archivers watched with a mixture of amusement and discomfort as Dame Fate's tantrum continued.

Some of them exchanged knowing glances, their expressions suggesting that they had seen this kind of behavior before.

One archiver whispered, "She's really invested in this case, isn't she?"

Another nodded in agreement. "It's almost...personal."

A third archiver frowned, their expression disapproving.

"This is unbecoming of a representative of the Celestial Tribunal," they whispered.

Dame Fate's complaints continued, her voice growing louder and more shrill.

"This is a travesty! A mockery of justice! The creature should be punished, not rewarded with a pardon!"

The archivers listened to her rant, their faces a mixture of boredom and annoyance.

Some of them scribbled notes on their parchments, documenting Dame Fate's outburst.

Others leaned back in their seats, their eyes fixed on the ceiling.

The air was thick with tension, as the observers waited for Dame Fate's tantrum to subside.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Dame Fate's complaints began to die down.

She took a deep breath, her face still twisted in anger and frustration.

"I will not rest until justice is served," she vowed, her voice firm.

The archivers watched her, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and concern.

What would happen next? Would Dame Fate find a way to overturn the pardon, or would the creature escape punishment once again?

Only time would tell.

Dame Fate's thoughts were consumed by the creature's fate.

She would not rest until justice was served.

The creature's pardon had added a new layer of complexity to the trial.

But Dame Fate was determined to see it through to the end.

She would not let the creature's crimes go unpunished.

Not if she had anything to say about it.

The archivers continued to watch, their eyes fixed on Dame Fate.

Dame Fate's complaints continued, her voice laced with defiance.

"Why must I obey this decree?" she asked, her words dripping with venom.

She felt a suffocating presence as Truth spoke

"Who is the Judge between the both of us."

She replied,"But.."

Truth's response was swift and decisive.

With a wave of its hand, an invisible grip enveloped Dame Fate, rendering her immobile.

"Silence," Truth commanded, its voice firm.

Dame Fate struggled against the grip, but it was no use.

She relented, her face twisted in a mixture of anger and frustration.

Truth's gaze turned to the creature, its expression unreadable.

"Do you know the price of that pardon?" Truth asked, its voice firm.

The creature's response was immediate.

"I know," it said, its voice calm.

Truth's gaze lingered on the creature for a moment before it spoke.

"Take him to the River Kiko, the source, so he can be expunged of his crimes."

The guards moved to take the creature away, their faces expressionless.

"Throw him in the River Kiko (The Source) so he can be expunged of his crimes," Truth decreed.

And with that, Truth left shortly afterwards, back to the starry sky.

Dame Fate's eyes blazed with fury as she approached the nameless creature, her anger evident in every step.

Despite her rage, she was compelled to obey the dictates of the Celestial Tribunal, and with a swift motion, she grasped the creature's arm.

"You're a pitiful being, unworthy of existence," she spat, her words venomous.

The creature listened to her words, his expression unreadable.

"The River Kiko, The Source, will expunge your crimes, but at a price of penance," Dame Fate said, her voice cold.

"It will bring you to a different time, in a different body."

The creature's gaze met hers, and for a moment, a hint of amusement danced in his eyes.

"So, reincarnation," he chuckled.

As he chuckled, Dame Fate's anger seemed to boil over.

"Haven't you done enough in this lifetime?" she asked, her voice laced with venom.

"What did His Excellency's gift reveal to you?" she asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.

She just had to know what drove him to use the pardon.

The creature's gaze met hers, and for a moment, there was silence.

Dame Fate's thoughts turned to the creature's motivations.

"Is it possible that he used the pardon out of fear?" she wondered.

"Or was it something more?"

The creature's expression gave away nothing, but Dame Fate sensed that there was more to the story.

She would have to wait and see how the creature's journey through the River Kiko would unfold.

With a forceful motion, she propelled the creature forward, towards the River Kiko.

The creature walked into the river, still bound, the swirling energies of the river enveloping him.

As he disappeared beneath the surface, Dame Fate's thoughts turned to the creature's fate.

"I will not rest until I have ensured that you pay for your crimes," she thought to herself.

Dame Fate's anger and frustration still simmered, but she knew that she had to obey the dictates of the Celestial Tribunal.

The creature's journey through the River Kiko would determine its fate, and she would be watching closely.

Dame Fate's thoughts were consumed by the creature's fate.

She would not rest until justice was served.

The creature's journey through the River Kiko would be a test of its resolve and its fate.

And Dame Fate would be waiting to see the outcome.

Dame Fate stood on the river's edge, her eyes fixed on the spot where the creature had vanished.

Her thoughts were consumed by the creature's fate, and she would not rest until justice was served.

The River Kiko would determine the creature's destiny.

And Dame Fate would be watching closely.

Dame Fate's thoughts turned to the creature's motivations.

"Why did he use the pardon?" she wondered.

"Is it possible that he is not as ruthless as I thought?"

The creature's fate was sealed, and its journey through the river would determine its destiny.

Dame Fate's thoughts were consumed by the creature's fate.

She would not rest until justice was served.

The creature's journey through the River Kiko would be a test of its resolve and its fate.

Dame Fate's gaze lingered on the river, her thoughts consumed by the creature's fate.

She would not rest until justice was served.

The creature's fate was sealed.

Dame Fate's thoughts were a jumble of emotions.

Anger, frustration, and curiosity all swirled together.

She would have to wait and see how the creature's journey through the River Kiko would unfold.

The creature's fate was out of her hands now.

All she could do was wait and see.

Dame Fate turned away from the river.

Her thoughts drifting to his next....
