Aurea Flora Complex
Children wandered everywhere, cameras clutched tightly in their hands.
The air shimmered with excitement .... the warmth of voices, the bursts of flash, and the echoing hum of the lab created a restless energy that filled every corner.
Kai, however, was still. She had seen this world before.
The moment she stepped into Aurea Flora Complex, memories surged back .... this wasn't foreign to her.
Once, she had worked in a veterinary hospital; she knew this rhythm, this sterile brightness, this scent of chemicals mixed with life.
And it was precisely that memory that kept pushing her forward .... the memory of that girl she needed to find.
Now, Kai was silent ... deeply, hauntingly silent .... like a river that had finally found its sea after years of endless flow.
But one task still remained. Something she had to do before leaving this place.
She sat quietly on the chair, motionless, lost in thought.
Suddenly, a boy came running toward Suda ....breathless, nervous ..... clutching something in his hand.
He had been cleaning near the shrubs when he found it, half-buried under the fallen leaves.
It was nothing ordinary.
It was the same pendant .... the one Talotkan had once given Yim ..... the one she had named "Thi Nai Sak Haeng Longloi."
When the boy extended his trembling hand toward Suda, Kai froze.
Her breath caught.
Her mind drifted back, like moonlight reflecting perfectly on the surface of still water.
On the old bridge above the river.....
Talotkan had handed Yim that very pendant.
She had called it "Thi Nai Sak Haeng Longloi."
When Yim had asked her why such a strange name,
Talotkan had smiled softly and said,
"Because I believe people are born with a fate opposite to their name.
That's why I called this 'Get Lost' .... so that it will never lose you."
Yim had then asked, "Why give it to me?"
And Talotkan, with that same serene smile, had replied,
"Because my fate is to disappear forever.
It's not me who says this ..... it's my name.
It means 'to be found.'"
She had looked at Yim with eyes that carried an eternity,
"No matter where I go,
this... this will always find its way back to you."
---
The memory fluttered away like a bird taking flight,
leaving behind only a tearful smile on Kai's lips.
Talotkan's memory alone was enough .... enough for Yim to feel her presence again.
Even if her eyes had seen another face,
her heart, her soul ..... they knew the truth.
They had never been wrong.
Before Suda could take the pendant from the boy's hand,
Kai reached out and seized it.
Her body jolted upright like lightning,
and in one sharp breath, her voice sliced through the air .....
"Those two girls… who are they?"
