The crashing of the waves echoed through the lighthouse,
a roar that seeped deep into the walls.
Inside, Pravit sat with Menhoye,
her voice trembling as she confessed everything.
She had made a mistake.
She had brought the tattoo design home.
And because of that, Kraithong had discovered the truth.
He had seen the papers.
He had read the words.
He knew the plant's deadly nature.....
and he wanted it.
Not for research.
Not for protection.
But to create poison.
Pravit begged Menhoye.
"We must burn the plants. Destroy them.
Before Kraithong can claim them for himself."
But before the two could leave…
The door burst open.
A man stepped into the room.
It was Hong.
Without a word, he raised his gun
and fired....once, twice, three times.
Bullets tore through Menhoye's chest.
He collapsed before Pravit's eyes,
his blood spreading across the floor.
Pravit froze, too shocked to scream.
Too broken to fight.
Hong wrenched the tattoo design from her trembling hands,
then seized her wrist and dragged her away.
Outside, in the Kraithong Residence,
Kai searched every corner of the house,
calling softly for her mother.
Then she heard it.....
the grind of car wheels on the gravel.
She ran outside…
just in time to see a masked man
dragging her mother's body toward a waiting car.
And in the driver's seat....
Hong.
He gave a cold command:
"Finish her."
And before Kai's horrified eyes,
Pravit was killed.
Her screams still echoed in the night air
as Kai's body trembled with fear.
She darted back into her room,
hiding beneath her bed,
her face pale as death.
She wanted to save her mother.
She wanted to fight.
But she was too weak.
Too small.
Too powerless.
And she did not yet know
that her true enemy…
was the man she loved most.
Her father.
That night,
Kai made a vow.
She would grow stronger.
Stronger than fear.
Stronger than pain.
Strong enough to one day avenge her mother's death.
The flashback ends.
