Chapter 23 - some untold things

Sometimes, we ourselves don't know which direction we are heading in. But the path we walk… it knows us. That's why we end up on it.

Just like now....Talotkan was riding her motorcycle slowly along a road surrounded by towering green trees, a road so serene and beautiful that even the hardest of hearts would feel at peace.

An empty road stretched ahead, lined with endless rows of tall trees. Golden leaves drifted lazily from above, creating a soft carpet over the cool shade. A gentle breeze whispered through the forest, brushing against Talotkan's face, and a faint smile curled her lips...because behind her, she could hear Yim's laughter.

And Yim?

She was completely lost in this world of beauty. Her eyes sparkled as they wandered from side to side....sometimes gazing at the canopy of blue sky adorned with white clouds, sometimes watching the delicate dance of falling leaves.

The smiles on their faces said far more than words ever could...like an entire lifetime of unspoken stories hidden within the curve of their lips.

After a while, Talotkan brought the bike to a stop in the heart of the forest, on a very old wooden bridge that stretched over a calm, crystal-clear river. The water below shimmered like glass, flowing silently between stones and patches of wildflowers that grew near the banks.

Talotkan walked to the edge of the bridge and sat down quietly. Without a word, Yim followed, her steps hesitant yet curious.

Before Yim could even ask anything…

Talotkan spoke first.

But this time, her smile was gone.

As if some unknown pain had quietly carved its way into her heart.
