Chapter 670 - Chapter 670: The Scarlet Mortal Sin of Pure Agility Specialization

Chapter 670: The Scarlet Mortal Sin of Pure Agility Specialization

When Solar Flare arrived in the Personal Space, she saw Kaito Shirogane lying bare-chested on the massive bed, rubbing his fingers together as if relishing an aftertaste.

Meanwhile, the usually cold and aloof Eclipse was wrapping her trench coat tightly around herself. Feigning indifference, she brushed past Solar Flare, turned the door handle, and teleported out of the space.

Solar Flare stood rooted to the spot.

She almost doubted her own eyes.

Admittedly, when Kaito first captured her and forced her into a servant contract, she had harbored such worries.

But after spending some time with him, she realized Kaito was an absolute monster, completely devoid of personal feelings.

He exuded a bone-deep indifference toward everyone, seemingly incapable of forming connections, let alone developing emotions.

Furthermore, apart from an insatiable greed for overwhelming power, she had sensed almost no other desires in him.

Neither an appetite for food nor any desire for the flesh.

Solar Flare quickly gathered her thoughts and approached the newly materialized bed.

"Lord Kaito, you summoned me?"

Kaito looked up. In the Personal Space, most sensory abilities were nullified, but those bound by a master-servant contract were exceptions.

Therefore, he easily sensed that this powerful Reincarnator, known by the title [Death Sword], was far more nervous than usual.

"You're nervous. Is it because you saw what happened between Eclipse and me, and you're worried I'll do the same to you?"

Before Solar Flare could answer, a tremendous force pulled her close. A hand gripped her jaw, and her heart began to race uncontrollably.

Feeling the complex mix of panic and inexplicable emotion radiating from her "heart," Kaito's smile grew wider.

Just as Solar Flare felt she might have to submit, Black Butler and Jin Yuean also returned to the Personal Space.

With a flash of light, Kaito was once again clad in the [Coat of the Black-Winged Archdemon], and he casually dismissed the large bed.

The other two kept their eyes downcast, pretending they hadn't seen a thing. Solar Flare smoothly stepped over to stand beside them.

"The [Far East Magic Association] no longer exists, and I have slain [Solomon]. You may release the news."

"What?!"

Black Butler's voice shot up. He rarely lost his composure, but this was truly beyond his expectations.

The [Far East Magic Association] wasn't some ragtag group; it was a prominent faction within the Third Tier, boasting five or six high-ranking titled Reincarnators.

Their leader, [Solomon], was considered by many intelligence brokers and teams as a top-tier Reincarnator with a real shot at claiming the [Crown of Supreme Power] in the upcoming title tournament.

Black Butler knew a bit more. [Solomon] was undeniably strong—stronger, he believed, than Solar Flare standing before him.

Noticing the others staring at him, Black Butler immediately cast [Forced Calm] on himself twice to regain his usual demeanor.

He looked at Kaito, recalling the man's terrifying rate of progress. During the interval before the last mission, Kaito already possessed the strength to defeat Daheitian, Su Qingqiu, and Solar Flare simultaneously in a one-on-three fight.

So, utterly crushing the entire [Far East Magic Association] within a mission world wasn't entirely impossible.

He nodded and then asked, "Once this news is out, many factions will panic, and even more will want to join your ranks. Do you plan to..."

Kaito nodded.

"Make the existence of [Eden] fully known. I will not attack any faction that joins [Eden]... Well, not in principle."

Kaito harbored the ambition to drag Reincarnators completely into the real world. He was tired of the mundane, boring world of ordinary people, so he intended to use his infamy to force a massive, simultaneous manifestation of Reincarnators.

This action would lead to the [Ability User] group being further recognized in the real world, prompting a shift in cognitive perception. Ultimately, Reincarnators would be able to walk the earth without any restrictions.

The world order would be completely overturned.

Black Butler had guessed as much, but deep down, he wasn't sure if Kaito's actions would bring good or ill.

People are inherently lazy; they prefer their comfort zones. Few would welcome a cataclysmic shift of that magnitude.

And... who could guarantee the change would be for the better?

Knowing the "nature" of the current generation of Reincarnators all too well, Black Butler actually held a rather pessimistic view.

But he had no power to change Kaito's mind. After a moment of thought, he said, "[Solomon] had some connections with a higher-up in the [Destiny] faction..."

Kaito's mind worked quickly. He immediately recalled the silver-haired, heterochromatic-eyed girl who had warned him to be wary of [Fatalism] before he entered the B711 world.

"Oh? You think she'll become my enemy over Solomon's death?"

Black Butler hesitated before shaking his head. "I'm not sure. The [Destiny] faction is highly secretive. Their upper echelons are all individuals with fate-related abilities. Divination and prophecy are useless against them, so intelligence is scarce."

Kaito nodded noncommittally.

Then, Jin Yuean handed over a tablet.

"Boss, recently a lot of Reincarnators have been hoping to use you to eliminate certain targets. Here are some of the most valuable bounties I've selected, and..."

Kaito scanned the bounties on the tablet. Most were hits on various titled Reincarnators, offering a wide array of rewards.

The highest bidder was offering 1 A-Rank Singularity and 100,000 Dimension Points for him to kill a Reincarnator codenamed [Skylark].

Jin Yuean had added a note: the clients were remnants of the [Black Beast]. Their team had been annihilated by Skylark. Knowing they couldn't win, they wanted to borrow Kaito's hand to kill him.

Skylark had an excellent reputation in the Eastern District of the Infinite Dimension Space. He was a well-known idealist and a former lone wolf with formidable strength. Few were willing to make a move against him.

Except for Kaito Shirogane.

Kaito looked up at Jin Yuean.

"Also, [The Heaven] provided the coordinates for that Scarlet Mortal Sin. It seems Su Enfei tried to capture him personally but failed and sustained some injuries.

"The intelligence they provided indicates that this Scarlet Mortal Sin is incredibly fast—a hyper-specialized Agility Reincarnator with terrifyingly high Agility.

"He evaded all of Su Enfei's attacks and injured her with an ability called [Blade of Light]. Su Qingqiu's abilities couldn't track an individual moving at such extreme speeds, so..."

Kaito's mouth curled into a grin. A pure Agility-specialized Mortal Sin Reincarnator... This was truly... fantastic!

"So they expect me to handle it personally, is that it?"

Jin Yuean nodded, but quickly added, "However, I've already demanded compensation from them for this. They should agree."

Kaito nodded in satisfaction. Although he had fully intended to hunt down the Mortal Sin himself, [The Heaven]'s initial condition for Su Qingqiu's release was that they would capture the Mortal Sin for him to kill.

This failure required compensation. That was how Kaito Shirogane operated.
