Chapter 1 - Demons VS. Archangels: The Unfolding

The Emerald City was filled with the magnificent aura of the many Angels who dwelled in the mystical realm of the Divine Mother. On the contrary, Alabrex City was the dwelling of the ego-driven Demons, who were constantly at war with the Angels and also sought to equip their ethereal city and rule over it. The Angels sought peace, prosperity, love and were always in tune with the Divine Mother, singing her praises and always looking to please the all-powerful and compassionate Goddess with their sincere and utmost devotion to her. The Demons, on the other hand sought power, kingdoms, revenge, destruction and were often envious to the prosperity and love, the Divine Mother bestowed the Angels with.

'They will try and take over the Emerald City this time', exclaimed the Sage Elder, who was a senior guide and counsellor to the Angels and someone they respected a lot and sought his advice and guidance on spiritual matters. The Angels, led by Angel Glory knew that they had to be on their best defence as the Demons were not at all a force to be taken lightly, given their legendary prowess and strength in battle. 'We have to finish and annihilate them for good this time!' roared Angel Glory with his exceeding charisma to his fellow Angels who nodded in acceptance to the thunderous demeanour of their leader. 'I celebrate and appreciate your appeal Glory, but you are often tightly matched with them, so this time I would suggest for you to seek the guidance of Saint Michael, the Archangel, and ask him to be your support in this dire situation', suggested the Sage Elder. The Angels readily agreed with their faces lighting up upon hearing the name of the head Archangel, whose purity and Holy Name was enough to make anything evil shake and change its tracks.

'I will of course help you my dear fellow Angels! But be wary that I will myself not participate in the fight and only will be your divine strategist and lead you all on the frontline', said Saint Michael after hearing the plea of the Angels. 'You, Master are the strongest of the Archangels, the Prince of Heaven! So why not help us demolish these Demons for good this time?', asked the Angel Apollo who was as confused as the other Angels standing beside him. 'Well, the truth is that if I fight alongside you, the Demons will probably not stand any chance of winning, and it will defeat the whole point of the Divine Mother's test of strength and faith these times and opportunities bring along', explained the Prince of Heaven. 'Why does the Divine Mother not stop these evil ones and annihilate them for good? What purpose do they serve, besides wreaking havoc over and over again?' said Angel Glory clenching his fists in anger. 'Ask the Sage Elder these divine doubts, as he has all your answers, but as you know he will only reveal the answers to your questions when he deems the time to be fit and right for you to know and have that specific knowledge' replied Saint Michael, bidding the Angels farewell.

'We have no choice, but to prepare for a battle with the Demons!' shouted Angel Zaphriel, who seemed very pumped up about the upcoming strife with their adversaries, plus very eager to prepare for a battle. The Angels very well knew about the extreme power and a never say die attitude of the Demons and also that it will be a tough battle for both the sides, recollecting the many previous times they had fought with them. The other side in the Alabrex City was even more eager to do battle with the Angels and discussed how they were going to crush them this time and take over their precious city and priceless possessions. 'This is it, my fellow Demons! This is the end for those so called pure Angels who always boast about their Holy Nature and being much more close to the Divine Mother!' said the Demon Asura with an upset undertone in his voice. 'We also love her as much as the Angels and are her ardent devotees, but she always favours them over us, even when the Angels are also filled with flaws of their own! Even then she overlooks those flaws and keeps them close to her, instead of us, the mighty Demons of Alabrex City!', Demon Belzethar was furious after hearing Demon Asura's plea. 'Do not worry my fellow warriors! The Angels will be gone for good this time and we will make sure that it happens the way we plan it, even if it means our certain death!', boasted the Demon King, who was the head of all the Demons and was hailed as one of the most powerful and respected beings in that realm.

The difference in the preparation of war between the Angels and the Demons was vast and surprising. On one hand, the Angels prepared themselves by of course honing their sword skills, fighting and training among themselves, helping up and hugging their fellow Angels after a bout of train-fighting. In contrast, the Demons ruthlessly trained among themselves, fighting each other and also going for the kill, thinking that training should be completely ruthless, or else they will not be all mighty! The Angels also prepared by other spiritual means, such as offering daily-constant prayers with utmost devotion to the Divine Mother and by also rigorous fasting, so that they are purified and also receive her grace and divine blessings. The Demons went too much overboard with their preparation, which they believed was absolutely necessary in order to get that divine prowess, such as starving themselves to no end, offering their own blood to the Divine along with praying endlessly and indulging in elaborate rituals. The Demon King ordered his fellow Demons that they should absolutely keep no stone unturned in receiving more power and should strive for the blessings of the Divine Mother, even if they die in the process of satisfying her.

Saint Michael the Archangel guided the junior Angels to the battlefield just outside the Emerald City where the Demons had arrived. The Demons were ready to fight and almost too enthusiastic thinking about all the riches the Angel's dwelling had to offer and also the vast Holy knowledge which was secret and was preserved in the castle of Angel Glory. The Demon King led the Demons to their battle formation and ordered them to leave no stone unturned when it came to slaughtering the Angels and wanted them to definitely destroy the opposition so that they could showcase their Divine power to them. They wanted to prove that the Angels are not as superior they claim to be and that the Demons are even a greater formidable force. 'Remember, my fellow warriors! The Divine Mother is surely watching this battle', the Demon King became really excited. 'Let us show her that we are her true sons and that she should grant us a higher position in the celestial hierarchy, definitely higher than these so called Angels!' the Demons became even more motivated than before after hearing the thunderous plea of their leader, charging in with full force and might towards the Angels, who became a bit weak spirited after sensing that the Demons were here to annihilate them completely with their strong resolve to take over them and their city.

'Don't listen to their words, my fellow Angels', said Saint Michael seeing that the Demons were surely fighting the Angels with grit and force, plus were also overpowering them. 'Just focus on your resolve, which is to protect your fellow Angels and stand for pure-justice and righteousness', Saint Michael calmly stood and watched the Angels follow his guidance and command as best as they could. The Angels fought hard, but it turned out that the Demons were better prepared and had a stronger resolve which led them to laugh and mock the Angels, who were trying their very best to keep up with them. 'They are weak and pathetic!' blurted Demon Plaza, followed by a heavy laugh from the other Demons who had very much started to enjoy and have a gaga time seeing the weak plight of the Angels. Just then, Demon Belzethar struck his sword in the chest of Angel Zaphriel, who immedietaly knew it was the end for him, and collapsed to the ground. 'Zaphriel!!' Angel Majestic shouted in horror, knowing there was no way that his close friend could have survived that fatal blow to his heart, thinking of all the memorable moments he had spent with his closest friend among the Angels, the moments flashing through his head and coming to a standstill.

'Keep fighting! Don't give up!' roared Angel Glory who had tears in his eyes as being the head of the Angels it was his duty to protect his dear friends, but now he was watching them die under his command. Angel Majestic looked at Saint Michael, who looked rather calm and unfazed by the whole situation and was accessing the fight, making Angel Majestic even more furious. 'These Archangels can just blabber!', he thought to himself, resuming the fight which he had already lost in his head after losing his fellow compatriot Angel. The Demons continued their assault and were very much winning the battle, even conquering the battle as it was the very first time that the young Angels had seen another Angel die, that too by the hands of a Demon, who were supposed to be below them in the celestial hierarchy.

The Angels had had their spirits shattered by a death in front of their own eyes, that too of a beloved, which had caused them to lose their motivation to fight, as they had never ever thought even in their wildest of dreams that an Angel could be killed mercilessly. The young Angels thought that they could never die and were immortal, and here they saw how a fellow Angel was lying on the ground dead! Even Saint Michael wasn't able to get their heads into the battle anymore as the shock was too much to absorb for the young ones, who had been only recently received the title of an 'Angel' and were very new to the whole celestial world of Angels and Archangels, as latter were their superiors and also the ones who trained the new-young Angels in battle, taught them spiritual wisdom and also helped bring them closer to the Divine Mother.

'They have too much to learn' thought Saint Michael to himself, seeing the Angels get crushed by the ruthless and fierce Demons, who were almost feeling too much joy in demolishing the Angels in battle, not only physically but also damaging their spirit, which is an aspect even more essential, subtle and powerful. The only Angel who fought gallantly and heroically was Angel Indra, who seemed really calm and composed and was hell bent in defeating the Demons. He was returning each of their blows with a hit harder than them, even after sustaining some serious injuries as a group of Demons had ganged up on him earlier, sensing that he was trouble and would not let them win until he was standing tall. Regardless of Angel Indra's heroics in battle, the Demons were able to defeat the Angels in battle, celebrating their victory a bit too loud and planned to enter the Emerald City to conquer the riches the place had to offer.

'I see you won't be able to stop us', said the Demon King slyly to Saint Michael, who stood there unfazed by the Demons reaction, knowing that he will not be interfering in the affairs of Angels and Demons, as was the Celestial Law, which the Demons knew very well. The Archangels were known for their ultimate spiritual prowess and were very close and dear to the Divine Mother, along with being immensely powerful as Saint Michael could have annihilated every Demon there and then, but was bound by the Celestial Laws which were made by the Divine Mother herself in order to maintain the cosmic balance in her infinite and limitless creation. The Emerald City was then looted of its immense wealth, celestial weapons used by the Angels, celestial jewellery, platinum furniture, priceless antiques and much more, rendering the once majestic place devoid of half its invaluable resources. The defeated Angels could only watch as their precious items and resources were being snatched in front of their eyes and there was currently nothing they could do about it, except curse the Demons and their own fate, which they thought was also cursed by the Divine. 'Later' said Saint Michael calmly and vanished from their vicinity, leaving the Angels shocked at his behaviour and actions during the whole battle sequence. 'He just stood there and did nothing!' Angel Glory was not at all satisfied with the Archangel's casual approach towards their holy city being raided plus a dear Angel being slaughtered in battle, that too by an evil Demon! The Demons left the Emerald City with all the riches they could take in one go and mocked the young Angels again while they left, warning them that this will happen again very soon and also that they have their eyes on whatever that is left of the city, to render it completely empty of anything even a fraction valuable.

'We thought the Divine Mother loved us! More than those crooked ones!' cried Angel Apollo, whose emotional appeal was met with tears in other Angels eyes as well, some of them even traumatized by what had just happened a few moments ago. 'Only one being has our answers, we will visit him tomorrow itself', the Angels knew what Angel Majestic was talking about and who he was referring to. 'Yes, he is our only salvation now, he has to answer all our doubts and confusions which clutter our minds at the moment', a teary eyed Angel Majestic picked up Angel Zaphriel who was to by the Celestial Law, be given a holy funeral at that moment. Watching their home become decimated, the Angels walked back to their palace, having a very bitter taste in their mouth over the happenings of the day and very much felt defeated, disgusted and lost, a state nobody in the entire universe is comfortable being in.

The young Angels gathered in front of the huge-magnificient Ethereal Palace, which was surrounded by many other celestial beings, who were either protecting it or waiting for their turn to go inside. 'How may I help you, my beloved ones?' asked one of the guardians of the palace to the Angels who seemed a bit lost, given the tragedy they had gone through not many hours ago. 'Who are you?' asked Angel Glory, who was like the others very much impressed by the demeanour and the brilliance of the celestial guardian, having never seen him before around the Ethereal Palace. 'I am one of the Guardian Angels of the Ethereal Palace. I have just recently been appointed by Saint Michael the Archangel for this role' replied the celestial guardian. The Angels were distraught after hearing this and thought to themselves that they would never ever be eligible for rising the celestial hierarchy after their humongous loss at the hands of the Demons. 'Originally I was an Angel in the Diamond Universe, but now I am here, and am really happy with this new role and this spiritual upgrade' said the celestial guardian. The Diamond Universe was one of the 7 universes in the realm of the Divine Mother, and was also known for being a universe where the light shone at all times, pretty much like the bright shine of diamonds, the beings of that universe having no idea what darkness was. 'We are here to meet the Sage Elder' requested Angel Glory to the celestial guardian, who in turn happily took the young angels inside the Ethereal Palace and into one of the large rooms, whose door was only opened after chanting a secret password, which only the guardian angels knew about. The Angels had always been in awe of the Palace, always thinking what lied in the many rooms of the Ethereal Palace, which had totally been a mystery to them since the first time they visited the Sage Elder in that large room of his, which engulfed a Holy aura and a serene calmness upon whosoever entered that room.

'I was expecting you, O young ones'. 'Come there is a lot to talk about', the Sage Elder as he welcomed the Angels to sit down on the many seats which were lined up neatly, adorned with many precious jewels. The room had a mysterious aura to it as well and the Sage Elder sat on a throne like seat in front of the young Angels, always bearing a smile on his youthful and charming face. 'We suppose you already know about what has happened', Angel Glory started the much needed conversation, with the other Angels sitting beside him attentively, waiting for the answers to their many questions. 'Ah, yes, Saint Michael has briefed me about everything. You know this is not the first time an Angel has been killed by the Demons', the Sage Elder got straight to the point as he knew the young ones were hasty and also could be a bit impatient at times. The Angels were a bit taken aback by that statement, realizing that they were not the only lot of young angels who were proved to be a failure and a disaster.

'You see, this was bound to happen, I was almost anticipating it this time. I am relieved that more lives were not lost from our side'. The Sage Elder's words came down as thunder on the Angels who were not at all expecting to hear this, moreover the bluntness of the Sage Elder filled them with shame again, having shed it a bit a few moments ago. 'How can you say that so casually! You of all people should be most sympathetic for us! Angel Zaphriel loved and respected you! Do you have no remorse over his death?', Angel Apollo was fuming along with the other young Angels who were shocked at the response they were getting in the Ethereal Palace, something they were not at all used to in the past. 'Angel Zaphriel was as special to me as he was to you all. Make no mistake about that. Calm down, O young ones, and let me explain everything to you in detail. The challenge is not yet over, the Demons will naturally attack the Emerald City again, so if you want to retain your honour and dignity, listen to me very closely', the Sage Elder's words brought the Angels to reality once again.

'Your preparation for war was not at all up to par, as you all were filled with immense pride regarding your abilities and prowess in battle', the angels with their eyes widened were listening attentively to the Sage Elder and his powerful wisdom. 'How can you say such thing? We did prepare for battle! What is wrong in having confidence in one's abilities?' Angel Glory was not prepared to listen to the belittling of his beloved friends who according to him gave their very best in fighting the battle. 'Confidence is a very healthy spiritual trait to have, arrogance is not. You all were so prideful in your abilities that you did not train and prepare the way you should have, and from there the seeds of your loss to the Demons were sown', the Sage Elder sighed as if he had just said the absolute truth. 'So what? The Angels are stronger than the Demons! Moreover, evil should be destroyed regardless! The Divine Mother should have helped us in defeating the demons! But she did absolutely nothing! She even saw one of her angels getting killed! Is she unaffected by this catastrophe?' said Angel Aurelius 'You were made angels for a specific purpose, and you forgetting that has led you to your sad fate!', the Angels were not used to the Sage Elder being firm in his speech, with having no other choice but to bow down their heads.

'The Divine Mother has ordained Mother Nature to keep account of all the beings in this universe, who knows best every individual and their every intention according to which the individuals get punished or rewarded. Your purpose is to serve the Divine Mother with all the might of your soul. You even refused to pay any specific heed to Saint Michaels's words during the battle, who consistently asked you to just fight without using your mind in futility. When the head of the Archangels asks you to do something it should be done without having any second thoughts in your head, with only devotion to the Higher Beings being your final aim. They are Higher Beings for a purpose and you should never ever forget that, if you ever want to spiritually advance!', the Sage Elder's words were starting to make perfect sense to the young Angels, who had previously not listened to the Archangel when they should have and instead were overcome with the emotion of anger, witnessing Saint Michael not intervene in the battle, even after knowing very well that he would not. 'So does this mean the Demons were very well prepared to destroy us? They are known to indulge in elaborate spiritual rituals which are dark in nature, and also sometimes can prove to be very dangerous', Angel Apollo made a very valid point, which drew the nodding of the heads of the other angels. 'We don't understand, O wise sage! What sacred scripture asks one to demolish a city, rob it and even kill its inhabitants?' the Angels became very inquisitive and also were overcome with confusion as they thought that the Sage Elder was contradicting himself.

'I am glad that you are asking the right questions, my beloved young Angels! This is the first step to acquiring the correct spiritual wisdom which is even more precious than all the riches of this world and beyond', said the Sage Elder as the Angels were becoming very anxious and they knew their doubts were going to be finally solved by the Sage Elder, who was known for his profound wisdom and it was even said that his wisdom and knowledge were given to him directly by the Divine Mother, which in turn made him an authority on matters like these. 'Now listen very carefully and keep one very important thing in mind! To acquire pure spiritual wisdom, you all have to shed all your pre-conceived notions, philosophies and ideas so that the spiritual nectar can enter your minds and in turn purify it. Just let everything I say inside you without any sort of filtration process, only then can you be free from doubts and confusion and be filled with peace and a blissful stillness, which are attributes of a spiritually enlightened being' said the Sage Elder. The Angels knew that their old belief system was to be shattered at that moment, which would of course be tough, but they also understood the utmost importance of it. Only by purifying their belief system could they make any spiritual progress further, which was not at all easy and would require their utmost faith in the Sage Elder and in what he said. The Angels embraced themselves for impact, keeping in mind that this was necessary for their progress and to come out of the pain of confusion and doubt, this had to be done.

'There are not many differences between Angels and Demons, as both are regarded to be at the same hierarchical level in this universe. The Demons are enormously powerful beings who also are known for their immense spiritual knowledge and prowess, and also their unbending ability to meditate and indulge in harsh spiritual practices, which are tough beyond belief to perform.' The Angels were not expecting the Sage Elder to speak highly of the Demons, but they began to understand the crux behind it very well. It was true that the Angels and Demons had clashed since the beginning of time and the latter had been able to defeat them certain times in the past. 'The Divine Mother has created this universe where every being can function according to their own will, and she has no indulgence in that matter. The being is free to perform the activities it likes, without any outside interference, at least from the Supreme Being, this being the beauty of free will in this universe. Now the sacred scriptures of the Demons also come from the higher teachings of the Divine, making them divine in nature as well. The Demons or other beings in this universe are unique in their own sense, this is the beauty of this magnificent creation which is utterly unfathomable and incomprehensible to us. There are innumerable paths to reach the Divine Mother. To suite their own nature, personality and preferences the Divine offers them their own set of spiritual practices, which seem dark to us, but fit perfectly with the Demons. When those practices are performed by the Demons with utmost faith in the Divine Mother, when elaborate rituals are performed with utmost dedication and perseverance they are bound to call for divine blessings from the Divine Mother herself. She will reward any and all sincere prayers of her devotees out of her infinite love and compassion for her children, which is her very nature, even when it comes to the cruel Demons, who are after all her own children.'

The Angels were awestruck at the divine wisdom which was being thrown at them, and were desperately trying to fathom and digest everything which came out of the mouth of the Sage Elder, who had gone into a trance of his own while imparting all this glorious wisdom to the young Angels. 'So why are they called Demons and are also feared and despised in the Universe?' Angel Glory was very curious about the dilemma which faced them at that very moment. 'The factor which makes those beings demonic in nature is that they only indulge in the sincere worship of the Divine Mother to feed their own ego and fulfil their own selfish desires. That is what being demonic really means. That unconditional love for the True Divine is not present in them, which differentiate them from you, O young Angels!' the Sage Elder explained thoroughly and clearly. 'Their love and support for the Divine Mother is conditional, set upon the fact that she fulfils some of their wishes pertaining to the harsh rituals and penance that they do, which is out of her infinite love for every being in this universe. But you O Angels! You love her unconditionally and purely, which is the reason that you are considered above the Demons in spiritual knowledge and power. For this very reason, Angels are permitted to climb the celestial ladder and hierarchy and to advance spiritually, but the Demons will be stuck where they are and even risk falling down the ladder and going through realms of misery, for they base their foundation on building their ego and immense greed for selfish desires and purposes. Always remember that the Divine Mother only wants and is moved by unconditional love from her sincere devotees and if one is successful in cultivating that love for her, she can fulfil one's every desire, even without you asking for it, for she knows you the best and also knows what is the best for you at that very particular moment', said the Sage Elder.

The Angels were starting to connect every dot and realize that they had been misjudging things the false way and had forsaken their deep knowledge for a while, leading them to be upset and depressed over the loss they had incurred recently. 'You are the remover of doubt and misery, O Great Sage! We do understand the dilemma we were entangled in, and now many of those entanglements are removed!' the Angels were feeling relieved and lighter than before they had entered the room. But, Angel Majestic was still upset at the death of his friend and was still looking for the right and correct answer to his misery over losing his best buddy. 'Tell me O Great Sage! You spit out wisdom so smoothly and elegantly as if the Goddess of Speech and Wisdom is sitting on your tongue! But, I still do not understand that why one of us had to lose their life in that battle? Why was Angel Zaphriel sacrificed by the Divine? I am in sheer misery as I loved him with all my heart and he was my beloved friend!'

The Sage Elder was empathetic and moved after hearing the painful plea of the young Angel Majestic, who was recently promoted to the rank of an Angel, and was one of the most dedicated Angels the Sage had seen in a while. The Sage decided that is was almost his duty to relieve the young Angel from the stress he was facing at the moment.

'O, Angel Majestic, you are delightful and a loving soul! I do understand your misery completely. Angel Zaphriel was killed because he had committed a serious sin before becoming an Angel, a sin which is the most cruel. He had murdered a fellow trainee Angel in sheer rage, after they had a fight in the Angel Training School. He had never confessed that he was the one to do it as he was overcome by guilt after the incident, but nothing is ever hidden from the Higher Beings and the Divine Mother', replied the Sage Elder. The Angels were shocked beyond belief after hearing about Angel Zaphriel's abomination, as they knew that he was nothing but a great friend and partner who loved nothing else than being an exemplary Angel and carrying out his duties to the best of his abilities. The Angel had never confessed his sin to any of them, not even to his best friend Angel Majestic whom he trusted with his life. 'I am shocked beyond belief O Sage! How come he never told anyone about the incident, not even me who always confided in him about everything!', Angel Majestic felt distraught and went into a state of shock and dismissal at the same moment.

'The nature of sin and abomination is such that the doer is automatically forced into a state of despair and guilt sooner or later. That guilt sets in so deep that it leads them to the path of darkness and destruction, often compromising on their previous ideals', replied the Sage Elder. 'Every single being in every single universe has to pay for their sins and abominations. This is the very law of Mother Nature. Do not worry as the soul can never perish. Zaphriel paid for his sin and now has to undergo some strict spiritual training in the Monastery of Saints', said the Sage Elder. 'What will happen to him after that?' asked Angel Magestic who was eager to know the future of his best buddy. 'He will return to your group after he has undergone the necessary guidance from the Saints and has firmly repented of his sins. Repentance is the most essential if he has to become an Angel again', replied the Sage Elder and he saw the faces of the whole group light up after hearing his convincing reply.

'Now, coming to the most important part. The Demons will attack again very soon as they still have their eyes on the many riches that your city has to offer. This time they will aim for the complete demolition of you and your loved ones', warned the Sage Elder as he saw the young Angels gasp. 'Do not be afraid. This time you have the right guidance and wisdom to overcome the adversaries. Train and prepare with all your might and most importantly trust in each other and in the truth. Angels are the embodiment of righteousness, which makes you stronger than the Demons', said the Sage Elder motivating them for the upcoming battle which could have been the most fatal one the young Angels had ever taken part in.

'What about Saint Michael? Will he support us after we disappointed him the last time? He did not say anything but we realized that deep inside he was concerned for our well-being', said Angel Indra. 'Of course I will be with you,' said Saint Michael the Archangel as he entered in to the room. 'I deeply love my Angels and always want the best of you. I hope the Sage Elder has imparted his precious wisdom on you all', said Saint Michael. 'Yes. The Sage has opened our eyes and cleared all our doubts. We have the answers now and are ready to take on those lowly Demons in the final battle!' said Angel Glory enthusiastically and his words were followed by joy and motivation on the faces of the other Angels. 'I have an announcement to make. Angel Indra will replace Angel Glory as the head of your group', said Saint Michael to everyone's astonishment. 'Indra was fantastic in the previous battle and was the most focused out of you all. He deserves to lead you to the final battle as he has proven himself to be formidable', explained the Chief Archangel as he was in charge of appointing angels to their various duties and positions. 'I will gladly accept him as our head! He is a brother who has always stood by us and loved us', said Angel Glory happily as he embraced Angel Indra.

'Go, O young ones! Prepare for the final battle. May the Divine Mother be with you and bless you with all her might!', said the Sage Elder. The angels paid their salutations to the Sage Elder and Saint Michael and left the Ethereal Palace. The next few months were very crucial as the angels trained very hard and did their very best to prepare for the upcoming clash. They prayed constantly and repented of their past deeds. They read the Holy scriptures, led a pure lifestyle and indulged in spiritual discourses amongst themselves. Divine rituals and ordinances also became a regular part of their lives. On the other hand, the Demons were busy enjoying the many riches that they had looted from the Angels. The Alabrex City hosted grand occasions every night and they indulged in the luxuries and sensual enjoyment of every kind. They were completely engrossed in their egos and blindly chasing pleasures which resulted in them being complacent and forgetting the Divine Mother. According to them their prayers and rituals had been a massive success and further, there was no need for any of that as they were now invincible and unassailable. 'Bring me that delicious wine, you moron!' ordered the Demon King to one of his numerous servants as he sat on his majestic throne. The Demons had planned to attack the Emerald City again on the next no moon night, when their powers would be the maximum. 'I cannot wait to kill those remaining Angels!', said Demon Diaz. 'We will make sure that those arrogant Angels are wiped out for good! Last time I could kill only one of them, but this time I will wipe all of them out! replied Demon Belzethar who was bloodthirsty as hell to destroy the realm of Angels.

'I sense that the time for the conflict is coming close', said Angel Indra who had great sensory abilities and could somewhat predict when the Demons would likely attack them again. More than three months had passed after their meeting and spiritual awakening with the Sage Elder. It was night time and the moon was shining brightly above them. The Angels had just finished their evening prayers and rituals and were about to have a spiritual discussion on the nature of the soul. Just then a flying sword came towards them at the speed of light and immediately cut the arm of Angel Aurelius. The Angels were baffled at the sight and looked around for the intruders. They could not see anybody but could hear some evil laughs mildly. 'They are here! It is time!', roared Angel Glory and the Angels turned into battle mode in an instant.

'They are using Sorcery to attack! Quick! Get into the Shield formation!', ordered Angel Indra and the Angels quickly stuck together and chanted mantras to form a spiritual shield around them. The Demons continued to attack the Angels with all sorts of weapons, but they failed to pierce the shield which the Angels had built. Realizing so, the Demons manifested in their physical bodies around the Angels. 'We could not wait for the no moon night. We are by far stronger than you and we know we can kill you any day and at any time!' said the Demon King combining his words with his cruel laugh which sent chills down the Angels spines. The battle which followed was one which was never seen before in the realm of Angels. The Demons used their dirty tactics and sorcery to subdue the Angels, but the Angels kept resisting their attacks. Suddenly Saint Michael the Archangel manifested and started leading the Angels tactically. He of course, did not participate in the battle but kept giving suggestions to the young Angels on how to counter every move of the Demons. The Demons knew better than to attack the Prince of Heaven and face his divine wrath which would lead to the demise of their whole race.

Angel Aurelius fought with one arm and was paired with Angel Apollo who made sure that no harm came to his injured friend. The Demons started to become agitated after seeing the determination of the Angels who were matching them in fight toe to toe. 'You brats will not see tomorrow's sun!', thundered Demon Belzethar as he landed a powerful punch on the face of Angel Majestic who thudded on the ground. The Angels got worried witnessing their comrade take a fatal blow. But, Angel Majestic got up with a smile on his face.

'Now, I get a chance to take revenge for my friend', said Angel Majestic as he revisited the death of Angel at the hands of Demon Belzethar. A huge fight erupted between the two with Angel Majestic fighting with sheer wrath and courage. He hit Demon Belzethar with his lightning sword which led the Demon to be paralysed by the sheer electric force. Just then the Demon's head was blown off by a single powerful strike of the sword by Angel Majestic who felt joy for avenging his dear friend and also killing an evil entity.

The morale of the Angels was really high and the Demons could very well sense it. No matter what trick Demons used it was in vain as the Angels fought bravely and paid heed to every instruction that Saint Michael was giving them. The Demons were rattled at the thought of losing and decided to launch their most lethal attack which would demolish the Angels completely. 'Do you really think you have an edge over us! We are the strongest beings in this universe and you are just mere pests!' said the Demon King hysterically. 'Come all my fellow Demons! Prepare for the Amatsukami!', ordered the Demon King and the remaining Demons came and stood beside their leader. 'Angels! Get together quick!', said a really worried Saint Michael who knew what the Demons were planning. The Angels had never seen the Archangel this worried before and they could sense that something terrible was coming. The Demons had shut their eyes and were chanting some esoteric mantras which the Angels could not understand. They could sense the shift in energy in the battle field and it felt really evil and melancholic. 'Saint Michael, what is this that we feel? It seems like there is no hope left in the universe and everything feels so dull and haunting', observed Angel Indra as he saw his group getting depressed by the change in the environment. 'It is because of the Amatsukami, which is the deadliest attack of the Demon class. They are channelling all their hate and anger in this attack which will lead to a powerful black flame emerge soon and engulf everything in this area. There is no way you can defeat it except…', stopped Saint Michael with a sincerely doubtful expression on his face.

'Please, O Prince of Heaven tell us! We will do exactly as you say', said Angel Glory. 'The only way to stop their deadly attack is to invoke the armour of the Divine Mother,' said Saint Michael. 'But, we have never done it before! From what we know, no Angel can invoke her armour. It takes immense amount of divine energy and a heart which is full of purity and love,' said Angel Aurelius. 'This is the only way that you have. Or else, you will all perish in an instant. Make a circle and fold your hands in prayer as we do not have much time to spare !' ordered the Chief Archangel. The Angels did exactly what they were told. They could feel the intensity of evil grow at that moment and the aura of the battlefield had totally been converted into despair. The Demons continued to chant their mantras which had created a shield around them and was impossible to penetrate. The only option the Angels had was to defend themselves against the most fatal attack in the Demon's arsenal. 'Now start praying to the Divine Mother with all your heart and mind! The Armour of the Divine Mother will only form if your devotion and your hearts are pure! Channel all your love and respect for her in your heart and soul', said Saint Michael who was sceptical if the young Angels would be successful to invoke the most powerful armour which no Angel had done before. He knew that it was now down to the will of the Divine Mother who knew best what to do and how to do it.

The Angels prayed vigorously, reminiscing all the beautiful moments of prayer, rituals and devotion they had done to please and connect to the Divine Mother. All the blissful moments played in their minds which started to create a powerful aura around them, and they became telepathically connected. But it was still not enough, and the Demons were almost ready to launch the Amatsukami. The Angels then felt the infinite love the Divine Mother had for her children and her creation. The Angels had often guessed about how it would feel to play in the lap of the Divine Mother. The insurmountable bliss they would feel and the motherly love that she would shower them with made the Angels feel extremely emotional and they all forgot that they were in a battlefield and probably on the brink of annihilation. They had completely surrendered to the will of the Divine Mother and only wanted to think and focus on her even if it led to their demise.

The Demons opened their eyes and were ready to launch the black flamed Amatsukami. Their eyes had turned black with all the hate and envy they had for the Angels and they all roared- 'Amatsukami!' Thunderous black flames swept swiftly towards the meditative Angels who were now deeply immersed in the Divine Mother, completely surrendering to her will. The Amatsukami was about to engulf the Angels in the never ending black flames when suddenly a protective armour was formed around the young Angels. The armour which was light blue in colour had a fully divine aura and the black flames hit it aggressively but could not penetrate it at all. Instead, the armour repelled the demons own attack and the black flames changed their course towards the ego centric Demons. They cried for help, but knew that there is no way that they can themselves form any kind of spiritual shield or Armour of the Divine Mother as their devotion was nowhere up to par with what the Angels had demonstrated. Alas, the Demons were hit by their own Amatsukami and they writhed in pain as the black thunderous flames tore their bodies to pieces. The Demons cried in misery as they could not absorb their own envy, jealousy, ego and pride which became the reasons for their own ultimate downfall. The Angels were still in their meditative state and were unaware of what was going on the battlefield. The Armour of the Divine Mother was so much pure that it had erased all the hatred and the dark energies from the whole area and the place was now left with only an environment of peace and victory. The Demons lied on the ground with their bodies decimated and finally slain.

Just then there emerged a beam of light which was so bright that it compelled the Angels to open their eyes, but they could not as it seemed like a thousand bright suns were staring right back at them in the eyes. The Angels decided to keep their eyes closed and were confused as to what was happening and even had doubts if they were still alive from the fatal Demon attack. 'Open your eyes, my children', said the sweetest voice there could ever exist, which seemed like an eternal melody. The Angels opened their eyes slowly as the bright light had now settled and were shocked in awe and disbelief when they saw who it was. They saw a large figure sitting on a pink lotus and it seemed that it was the most-pure, holy and divine Being which existed in the entire cosmos.

'It is…. It is her', said Angel Apollo in sheer disbelief, who was as shocked as his compatriots. The Divine Mother had appeared before them, which was a very rare occurrence. They had never seen her before as only the Archangels were allowed to see her and meet her. Even Saint Michael was in disbelief due to her making an appearance in the realm of the Angels. Both him and the group of young Angels prostrated before her and offered their salutations. 'You all did today which was deemed impossible before. My Armour is not at all easy to channelize and manifest. But, you did it through your sheer love and devotion that you have for me in your hearts and that makes me so happy and proud of you all', said the Divine Mother with a beautiful smile on her face which was the most radiant and mesmerizing. 'Yes, O Great Mother, even I am very proud of all of these Angels. I was really worried that this would not work and the end of them was inevitable. But, they all exceeded my expectations with their purity of their hearts which only sings your glory', said Saint Michael with a joyful look on his face. The Angels could not believe that they had been successful in manifesting the spiritual armour and that they had finally defeated the Demons. They were rendered totally speechless and could not hold their eyes off the Divine Mother who smiled back at them.

'The Demons were at the end engulfed by their own envy and evil. They could not understand that the path towards me is supreme devotion which they claimed they had, but utterly lacked. You, my children have proven yourselves', congratulated the Divine Mother which resulted in the Angels feeling merry and exuberant. The young Angels could not stop themselves from noticing the divine true love and infinite compassion which was radiating from every pore of the Divine Mother. Anybody who would witness her in this form could have gone mad in ecstasy. The Divine Mother lifted her right hand and demonstrated the 'Divine Blessing Mudra' which in turn magically cured all the injuries and bruises the Angels had sustained during their battle. Even Angel Aurelius got a brand new arm in exchange of the one that he had lost to the flying sword used by the Demons. The Angels felt even more powerful, brilliant and indestructible than before and it very well seemed like they had been blessed with a brand new life.

'Mother, we… the Angels had something in their minds. 'I know, come here', signalled the Divine Mother with her arms wide open, inviting them to her. The Angels ran towards her like a small child would to their mother and the Divine Mother picked them up like they were her own little children and embraced them tightly. The Angels came to know what was true divinity as they played in her lap and went into a trance which could not be explained in words as no language had the power to express their true feelings and emotions at that moment. This was the best day of their whole existence as tears of sheer bliss continuously rolled down their cheeks.
