(obtained 0.21 evolution points) even after eating the entire caterpillar he did not feel bloated. It seems there's a limit to how full he can get.
Anything he eat after that will just turn into evolution points but won't effect his stomach in the slightest. After eating six caterpillars he has obtained 1.23 evolution points.
Each caterpillar gave him an average of about 0.2 points. Though his body was strangely itchy he slept peacefully with a full stomach and knowing he was 1.23 points further into evolution.
When he woke up the next morning he felt stronger, he dismissed it as him having more energy because of the all caterpillars he ate but when he took a step he noticed it was larger than before, that could only mean one thing but it should be impossible.

No wonder he felt strange, he had actually grown 1.3 cm overnight but how is that possible? I don't think lizards grow that fast. Is it because of the system? No answer came.
He decided to go hunting, he was starting to get hungry. He wasn't as lucky today, by sunset he had only found 2 caterpillars, they were not even enough to satiate his hunger.
Just as he was going back to his hole something jumped infront of him. He was startled and ran back, when he turned to look it was only a frog.
The frog was even smaller than he was and looked even more terrified of him than he was of it. That gave him a new found confidence.
Yeah, you better be terrified little froggy, I'm the great dragon,slayer of caterpillars, I'm not one to be trifled with. He ran towards the frog expecting it to run but it jumped at him instead.
This caught him by surprise but it was too late to dodge so he opened his mouth and bit down hard. His tiny teeth bit into the frogs slimy soft flesh.
It jumped and struggled but he was stronger, eventually it struggle died down and it died but their battle lasted till moon rise, he was exhausted.
He dragged it back to his hole, being out at night was dangerous, you'd never know what lurking in the shadows, he'd bet some snake or bird would love a piece of his delicious scaly self.
Deep in his hole, he could no longer hold back, hunger was calling and a meal was infront of him. He bit of a piece of the frog and chewed.
It was spicy and delicious, his mouth watered from the savory taste of this green spotted yellow slugger. The moment he swallowed,the almighty system whispered in his head.

Poison secretion? spotted? spicy? Wait, this is a poisonous frog, he spit out the piece in his mouth and tried to force himself to throw up what he had eaten.

Oh, you silly system why didn't you say so? I almost panicked there for a moment but luckily I'm a cool headed guy. He continued his meal without worry.
By the time he was done his evolution points had increased by whole 3 points which was a pleasant surprise, he doesn't know how those points are calculated but it did not matter, he was going to become a dragon with a harem, that all that matters.
Now back to the trait thing, the system said this trait could be fully assimilated unlike the metamorphosis trait of the caterpillars. He thinks he understands the difference between them but is not sure.
He only has one trait spot and he can't afford to waste it, however he couldn't think of any trait more useful than poison secretion to something his size.
It was the best defence and deterrent to predators so he decided he was going to assimilate the poison trait. System, assimilate trait.
(Trait assimilation initiated, host lacks necessary organ, host entering hibernation) What? His mind suddenly shut down and he blanked out.
When he woke up he felt his body was larger and he had an extra limb inside him. He tried to control this limb and it worked. Suddenly a transparent sticky liquid oozed out of his body.
This was not a limb but a poison sack inside him. Status, he said in his head.

He felt happy, with this he felt much more secure and powerful. He went to sleep, tomorrow was another day of hunting. The next morning he left his hole and skittered on the grass.
Today he had decided he would venture a bit further from his home, if not to look for food to atleast find other poisons to consume. He did not have to look too far.
A few hundred metres away from his hole he found a shrub of purple berries close to a pond. This was the furthest he had even been away from his hole so felt a bit nervous.
He approached the shrub and finding nothing dangerous in it besides the poisonous berries ofcourse, he jumped in. He stuffed his mouth with the spicy berries, he could smell the poison from them, he doesn't know how but his poison gland was screaming at him to eat them.
He ate like he was in a hurry until his stomach felt bloated but he noticed he did not gain a single point of evolution. It appeared those can only be found through consuming animals.
When his stomach got too full to continue he decided to leave but as soon as he got out of the shrub of berries he head a loud screech above him. He looked up and saw a giant shadow descending towards him at a blinding speed.
