Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Her return

A plane from London touched down smoothly in Polan City.

A tall, stunning woman strode toward the baggage claim to retrieve her luggage. She wore a black baseball cap that obscured half her face and a black casual outfit that concealed her curvy figure. Although her face was hidden, her aura was more striking than that of a celebrity.

What truly caught people's attention, however, were the six children following behind her. Each one wore sunglasses and exuded an air of quiet elegance. They walked toward the conveyor belt to collect their luggage.

"Sugarplums, wait here while Momma gets the suitcases, genevieve is already on her way to take you guys home" she said, making the children stand in a safe spot before turning to head toward the belt.

But a small hand suddenly grabbed her wrist.

"Mommy, leave it to me. After all, I'm a man," a boy's voice said.

Jane's eyes softened when her son spoke.

"Babe, it's too early for you to be a man. Let me handle it. You look after your younger siblings before Genevieve arrives," she told him gently.

"Okay," Liam replied with a small smile. Before Jane could say more, he had already walked back to help his siblings with their backpacks.Jane sighed. Her firstborn son, Liam, was the spitting image of his father. One look at him and anyone would think they were staring at a younger version of Logan. He carried a strong sense of responsibility and always looked out for his younger siblings.

As they watched their mother leave, Liam turned to the others and said, "Let's wait here until godmother comes, then we'll all go home!"

"Brother, I need to use the restroom!" Isabella, the fourth and most lively child, announced. She was full of energy and often got herself into little bits of trouble.

Liam glanced around and saw a nearby restroom.

"Alright, go ahead but hurry back!" he told her.

Isabella handed her Barbie doll to Scarlett, the sixth and youngest child.

"Take care of little Anna for me. I'll be right back," she instructed.

Scarlett nodded. She was a quiet girl. Unlike her sharp, confident siblings, Scarlett seemed slow in most things including schoolwork something that often worried their mother.

Isabella finished in the restroom and carefully straightened her clothes and hair before heading out. As she rounded a corner, she accidentally bumped into someone and fell to the ground.

"Ouch!" She cried.

Logan Heard the sound coming from below. He looked down and saw a beautifully dressed little girl sitting on the ground.

He felt a strange feeling in his chest.

"You bumped into me" Isabella said in a childish voice, adjusting her sunglasses but with a reproachful look in her eyes.

Logan was amused by her "small temper." He crouched down and helped her up.

"Little one, are you alright?"

"Of course I'm not..."

Before she could finish, Isabella froze, stunned by the handsome face looming closer. As a face connoisseur, she had to admit this man was truly heart-stirring. And oddly enough, he looked familiar.

"Of course I'm not alright. Who knows where I might be hurt?" she added, her childish tone laced with subtle mischief.

It was clear the little girl was fine. Logan chuckled.

"Well then, should I take you to the hospital?"

"Oh, that won't be necessary," Isabella replied. "How about this? Next time you walk, you should look down so you don't bump into another kid. It's not gentlemanly at all."

As she spoke, she flipped her hair back accidentally slapping his face with it. Logan was speechless.

"How about I escort you back to your parents so you don't get bumped into again?" he offered.

"Oh, that won't be necessary either," Isabella said sweetly. "How about this? Let's add each other on social media. If anything happens, I can contact you."

Before he could refuse, she had already pulled out her phone.

"I'll add you," she said matter-of-factly.The girl, with her cleverness and rosy-cheeked cuteness, easily inspired affection. Logan, still a bit amused, didn't think much of it. He took out his phone and opened the rarely-used app. For him, it was more like a decoration than anything else.

After adding him, Isabella nodded with satisfaction.

"Alright, mister, that's it for today. We'll keep in touch online!"

"Where are your parents?" Logan asked. They had been chatting for a while, yet no guardian had appeared.

Isabella Adler frowned slightly.

"Dads are like unicorns hard to find."

With that, she shook her head and walked away.

Logan watched her go, smiling helplessly.

"Men are getting better looking these days too bad he doesn't respect a lady," Isabella said with a dramatic sigh.

Bryan looked at her, raising an eyebrow. "What took you so long?"

Bryan was the second child. He was the most stubborn and loved to prove that he was right in everything.

Isabella smiled mysteriously. "I met a super handsome man near the restroom. I thought he was a celebrity but sadly, he wasn't."

Seeing Isabella's infatuated expression, Liam walked forward as if he hadn't heard her. Bryan leaned in closer. "Could he be more handsome than your amazing brother here?"

"Actually, I think he looks a lot like you guys more like Liam, to be precise!" she nodded earnestly.

Bryan glanced at Liam's back. He was definitely handsome. Just looking at him now, anyone could imagine how devastatingly attractive he'd be in the future.

"If Liam looks this good, what do you think our daddy must look like?" Clara asked dreamily.

Clara was the second child. And the girl who sometimes acted childish. She was a meek girl and liked to be on her own.

"He must be super handsome too!"Isabella replied, her eyes sparkling.

"Ugh, these damned good looks of ours are going to be the death of us!" Benjamin sighed dramatically.

Benjamin was the fifth child. A boy who was so lovely and lively.

Just then, they heard Scarlett small voice call out, "Godmother!"

The kids snapped out of their thoughts and turned toward Genevieve, who stood not far away."Godmother!" Isabella rushed over and threw herself into Genevieve's arms. "Godmother, I've finally met you! I missed you so much."

Genevieve hugged the little girl tightly, her hands trembling slightly. They had only communicated through video calls for the past few years. Now, seeing them in person, she was overwhelmed.

"Godmother missed you too missed all of you!" she said, looking at the rest of the kids as they ran toward her for hugs.

"Good, good!" Genevieve's eyes turned red with emotion.

"Alright," she said gently, "Let's go home. Your mom will be back soon with the luggage."

Rising Sun Tech Company

A thick stack of documents slammed onto the desk with angry force.

"Joshua, I've never had anyone as useless as you around me. It's just information on an engineer have I hired a bunch of buffoons or what?" Logan's voice thundered through the office.

He was searching for one specific engineer to join the *Galax-Zee* project—his most ambitious mission yet.

Rising Sun Tech specialized in high-level, modern aerospace innovation. They designed cutting-edge rockets and spacecrafts, not only for his own ventures in space but also for global research institutions. Logan's company, the Anderson Group, had already ventured into the future colonizing planets, building tech-savvy spaceships, and even leading advancements in the electric vehicle and aerospace sectors.

The engineer in question had recently made history developing the world's first electric-propelled rocket, a groundbreaking invention that shook the global space community.

Joshua's hands trembled as Logan's cold eyes bore into him."Sir, I... I've already found the information. In fact, the engineer is arriving this afternoon. We've spoken with her company, and since we recently collaborated with them, they agreed to send her here."

Logan's eyes snapped up in surprise.

"Her?"

Joshua nodded nervously. "Yes, sir. It's a woman. Here's her profile."

He placed the résumé on the desk. The photo was slightly blurred, but as Logan's eyes scanned the image, something twisted in his chest. His gaze locked on the eyes in the photo.

'Those eyes... they look just like hers.'

He narrowed his eyes, heart thudding.

She looked stunning even through the faded image but her eyes...

They looked exactly like Jane's.

"Joshua," Logan said slowly, voice low and cold, "Arrange a meeting with the company. I'll go there myself."

He picked up the profile again, eyes locked on that blurry photo.
