More than any title, she preferred his true name, because it symbolized their bond. It meant she understood his root, his origin.
Even among Akuto's harem, very few truly knew where his root lay.
After receiving his memories, Athena clearly liked him even more.
One reason was simple: she finally knew what she hadn't known before. The haze of uncertainty was gone, and she understood why Akuto liked her.
The other reason was his power and bloodline.
Athena now knew Akuto wielded the power of the "true Red Dragon Emperor's" dragon soul, and carried the bloodline of the "Primordial Leviathan."
The true Red Dragon Emperor was a dragon.
The Primordial Leviathan was a serpent.
And she, Athena, was a goddess-king with a Great Mother aspect, an heir of dragons and serpents.
By that logic, their compatibility was naturally extraordinary. Weren't they, by nature, meant to be together?
Akuto's root was dragon and serpent. Akuto had liked her long before they ever met. Akuto possessed power that could change her, even change the entire Divine Realm.
Adding it all together, Athena became even more certain.
Akuto was the best possible partner for her.
Athena didn't know how long she kept kissing him. Only when she felt fully satisfied did she slowly lift herself, gazing down at the young man with eyes so moving it almost felt unfair.
"Akuto. Do you remember what you once said to this one?"
"I've said too many things. I don't know which line you mean," Akuto replied, following the curve of the goddess's slender waist upward with his touch. He didn't tug at the white robe that had already been messed up by their earlier closeness, but instead paused at her waist and pressed downward slowly.
"Hss… ngh…"
Athena's composed expression fractured for a moment. It took her a while to recover, and she rolled her eyes at him, helpless.
"This one means the full sequence of your 'confession steps.'"
At this point, Athena had become much more direct than before. She could ask Akuto plainly instead of twisting herself into knots and putting on an awkward front.
Akuto was very satisfied with that change.
"Ah. That," he said.
Akuto sighed and smiled. The goddess really was adorable.
And being able to make Athena show such an adorable side of herself was, for Akuto, a kind of fulfillment all its own.
"You already know the reason from my memories, but I'm happy to say it to you myself."
As he spoke, Akuto reached out and lightly gathered a strand of Athena's cool, white hair under the moonlight.
"Athena, I like you."
"Like you. Like you. Like you. Like you more than anything."
"Long before I ever met you, you were already the one I liked most."
"I like your looks. Men are visual creatures. I'm no exception. A silver-haired, tsundere goddess is just… perfect. And I know you're not the shallow kind of tsundere either. When you can strike, you strike without hesitation. That too, I really like."
"Beyond that, I like your identity as a goddess."
"Maybe a man's desire to conquer is something born into him. The more exalted a woman's status, the prouder her nature, the more it stirs that instinct. I'm no exception."
"Just imagining the noble goddess Athena showing a shy, lovestruck face beneath me makes my whole body and mind shake."
"You truly are a greedy man," Athena said softly.
Hearing Akuto's honest confession, Athena smiled with gentle warmth, a maternal indulgence mixed with the soft glow of love.
Slowly, she wrapped her arms around his neck, then with one smooth motion, she flipped their positions, changing it from her above and him below into the opposite.
Her reasoning was simple.
Hadn't Akuto said he enjoyed the feeling of conquering a goddess?
Then he could be on top.
Otherwise, if she stayed above him, what "conquering" would that be?
Now, Athena was thoroughly committed to meeting his needs, even down to "roles" and "images" in certain moments.
Everything Akuto said, she already knew. But knowing it from memories and hearing it from his lips were two entirely different things.
Akuto had once asked her why she, a goddess, was unhappy about the idea that he only liked her beauty. Was she lacking confidence in her inner charm?
Back then, Athena truly had been. Akuto's unknowns were too many, and she had felt his liking was too casual, too cheap.
But now, having learned everything, Athena no longer had any doubt.
In her mind, the conclusion was simple: she was the most charming goddess in the Godslayer world. Akuto liking her was only natural.
"And besides your status as a goddess, I also like your personality."
"Proud, but sometimes daring."
"With me, because I'm the one who takes the initiative, your daring only showed itself clearly when we first met, but I still love it."
Akuto truly liked the feeling of being forcibly kissed by a goddess.
It was just a shame that because he was too strong and too unusual, Athena had only shown that overwhelming, aggressive side once. After that, it had mostly been Akuto pushing forward.

Perhaps Athena truly had awakened something like "motherly" tenderness. Now, she kept responding to Akuto's desires with a resigned fondness.
And Akuto was the same with her.
So it went.
Akuto spoke of every part of Athena that drew him in, and Athena answered him in kind.
He said he liked being forcibly kissed, and Athena did it again.
He said he liked her two different "modes," and Athena showed him both.
When he confessed yet another private preference, Athena only rolled her eyes, cheeks warm, and closed the distance again.
Before long, their voices faded into nothing but breath and the quiet rhythm of shared warmth.
In that moment, whether it was body or soul, they had already met each other fully.
Between Akuto and Athena, there was no longer any simple relationship of conqueror and conquered.
They only wanted to feel more of each other's charm, and to let the other feel more of theirs.
