Chapter 22 - Chapter 22

Akuto didn't kiss Rei for too long—just a little over ten seconds before he let go of the girl who was still desperately responding to him.

"Alright, Rei, I still need to speak to everyone about something important. Hold yourself back for now."

"Mm…"

Rei lowered her head, replying softly.

Just the fact that Akuto was willing to call her "Rei" was enough to make her so excited that she probably wouldn't be able to sleep tonight.

Casting a glance at the group who didn't dare to say a word, Akuto stepped into the center of the bus.

"Everyone, the peaceful daily life we once had has now completely left us behind."

"The old laws and morals have already collapsed. From now on, both you and I must adapt to life under this new world."

"In this world, only one thing matters—survival!"

"To survive, we need water, food, and more importantly—strength!"

"We need to establish a new structure, one that allows us to obtain all the resources necessary for survival."

"..."

"..."

Akuto's speech lasted for five minutes.

By the end of it, every student truly grasped the situation they now faced.

Before, they were still thinking with the mindset of students. But now, after shifting their perspective, they finally realized how lucky they were to be with Akuto.

The fact that Akuto was willing to say these words meant he was willing to shoulder the responsibility of being their leader.

In the apocalypse, having a leader like Akuto was extremely reassuring.

At the very least, as long as they listened to him, they wouldn't be thrown off the bus.

At the very least, as long as they followed him, their chances of survival would be much higher.

Since the world had already become an apocalypse, living under the leadership of someone who had both authority and personal power… didn't sound so bad.

After giving the stick, Akuto didn't forget to hand out a sweet date as well.

"Shizuka, drive us to the Chōfu Grand Hotel. We'll rest there for now and collect supplies along the way."

"Yes! Understood!"

Shizuka gave a silly smile, and with her red high heels, she slammed the accelerator to the floor.

"VROOOM!"

The engine roared, carrying Akuto and the group at high speed.

...

Half an hour later.

The bus came to a stop in front of the Chōfu Grand Hotel.

Akuto and Saeko leapt out first, swiftly cutting down all the zombies gathered at the hotel's entrance.

"Next, we'll begin collecting and organizing supplies."

"There are plenty of supermarkets and facilities near the Chōfu Grand Hotel. Saeko and I will clear out all the zombies first."

"Takagi, you'll be in charge of assigning tasks to everyone and making sure the supplies are sorted and stored safely."

"Yes! Everyone, gather here! I'll assign tasks according to your athletic performance records!"

Adjusting her glasses, Saya raised both hands to make herself noticeable.

Seeing her quickly step into a leadership role, Akuto nodded in satisfaction. As long as Saya kept her head clear, her leadership ability was unmatched here.

The next moment, he turned toward Rei and Shizuka.

"Rei, you and Shizuka go look for a map. Check if there are any nearby islands or rural areas we can move to."

"Once we've collected supplies, we'll use the bus to transport them trip by trip to our chosen location."

"The modern city clearly won't be able to sustain us for long. We need a safe place where we can grow crops."

"Yes!"

Rei raised her hand excitedly as she replied.

By the time Akuto and Saeko had finished clearing the zombies and the others had gathered supplies, afternoon had turned into night.

Inside the hotel lobby, its main doors barricaded shut, everyone gathered together.

Looking at the mountain of supplies they'd managed to gather, smiles of genuine relief spread across their faces.

"Next, we'll divide the food and register everything we collected."

"Takagi, I'll leave this task to you as well. No problem?"

"No problem at all! Leave it to me!"

Saya stood upright, her chest bouncing with the motion.

In just one afternoon, her leadership skills had improved greatly.

Though she was still lacking in some areas, as long as she consulted Akuto, she always managed to complete the tasks successfully.

"Oh, right, Akuto-kun. Here's the list of people you and Saeko rescued in the hotel and shopping center, along with their detailed information. I've already sorted it all out."

She handed him a small notebook.

Flipping through it, Akuto noted the records were clear and thorough.

"These people can eat after we're done. Once dinner's over, I'll assign them tasks according to their skills and backgrounds."

"Oh? A councilwoman with the surname Yukinoshita? I'll have a private talk with her later."

Akuto's eyes lingered on the entry for a moment, though he was disappointed she didn't have daughters named Yukino or Haruno.

During dinner, the newcomers stared longingly at Akuto's group as they ate, swallowing back their hunger.

As adults, they understood clearly—the past was gone. From now on, that boy named Akuto was their lifeline.

Half an hour later, Akuto's group had eaten their fill.

"Alright, you may eat now. Afterward, we'll assign rooms."

With his permission, the others didn't rush. Instead, under Saya's direction, they lined up in an orderly fashion.

After dinner, under Saya's organization, everyone began cleaning and tidying up the hotel rooms, while the leftover supplies were moved into designated areas.

Night fell.

Rejecting the councilwoman Yukinoshita's offer to share his bed, Akuto pulled Shizuka into his room.

Late at night.

Rei slipped into Akuto's room with her keycard.

Her eyes widened as she took in the clothes, stockings, and high heels scattered across the floor. Then her gaze landed on Shizuka, who was already asleep on the bed. Rei swallowed hard.

"Rei, you're here?"

On the bed, Akuto rested his head on Shizuka's ample chest, greeting Rei as if he had expected her.

After all, that keycard had been personally handed to Rei by Akuto earlier, under the pretense of giving her the "cleaning duty for the leader's room."

"Akuto-kun…"

After spending the afternoon and evening together, Rei realized her view of him had changed.

But instead of fear, she only found herself liking him more.

That was why she had come to his room of her own accord tonight.

Seeing her begin to undress, Akuto chuckled and waved his hand.

"Keep it on, Rei. I like seeing you in your sailor uniform. I like seeing a girl show her most beautiful side when she moves on top of me."

"…Okay." Rei whispered back.

The youthful JK girl climbed onto Akuto, kissing him while lowering her slender waist.

As the symbiotic bond deepened, the girl's plump thighs trembled uncontrollably. Inside her black thigh-high socks, her delicate white toes curled and stretched, straining against the fabric.

When the bond was complete, Rei interlocked her fingers with Akuto's. Her eyes rolled back, tears of bliss streaming from the corners of her eyes.
