Chapter 365: Great Dark Heaven and Frieza
The door to the incubation chamber suddenly opened, and Frieza, only half the height of a grown adult, stepped out.
"Lord Frieza, you've finally been resurrected!"
Ignoring the sycophantic flattery from his subordinate, Frieza's gaze locked onto the corner of his spaceship.
"Still as vigilant as ever, Frieza."
"Lord Frieza, it was his idea to help resurrect you. Though, I was the one who actually carried it out."
"People from the Great Dark Heaven sure love hiding in the shadows," Frieza said, staring into the shadows of the corner.
"Hey now, don't go saying such dangerous things."
No one could betray the Great Dark Heaven—because everyone who ever did was dead.
Frieza, whose mind hadn't fully adjusted after just being revived, let out a light cough to cover his moment of awkwardness.
"So then, what kind of mission does the organization have for me this time?"
"This time, we need you to operate in a place called the Shinobi World. We recently lost contact with a pawn we sent there. It's piqued my curiosity."
"Hmph, just a pawn, huh."
Despite his words, Frieza didn't reject the task.
"Even a mere pawn can play a critical role at the right moment… Ah, time's up—the TV program is about to start. Well then, I'll leave the matter of the Shinobi World to you, Frieza."
The shadow vanished suddenly, as if it had never been there.
"Um... Lord Frieza."
"What is it?"
Frieza shot a glance over.
"Actually, ever since your death, many people have quit the Frieza Force."
"That's fine. After that last battle, I came to understand something… In a true high-intensity fight, no number of grunts makes a difference." Frieza said, "Open the wormhole. Let's head to that so-called Shinobi World."
"Yes, Lord Frieza."
Shinobi World.
A snow-covered landscape stretched for miles.
"So this is the place they call the Shinobi World?" Frieza floated above the snowy ground, completely unfazed by the harsh weather. He looked around. "Can't see anyone at all… Might as well sense their locations."
A powerful wave of invisible energy erupted from Frieza's body, sweeping outward.
Under the pressure of Frieza's released energy, a snow hut instantly collapsed, burying Naruto and Obito beneath it.
"What the hell just happened?!"
A moment later, Obito's bewildered face popped out from the snow.
"I have no idea," Naruto replied, equally confused as he emerged from the snowbank.
"I've found them." Frieza suddenly appeared before the half-buried Naruto and Obito. "Your strength… barely passable."
"Who the hell are you, you little brat?!"
Due to Frieza's small stature, Obito instinctively mistook him for a kid.
"Little brat…"
A vein bulged on Frieza's forehead. He extended his right index finger toward Obito, using gravity to forcibly pull him out of the snow.
"My body… won't move."
Obito floated in the air, a twisted expression on his face, but his body remained immobilized under tremendous pressure.
"Hmph." Frieza pointed at Obito, then flicked his finger to the side. "Go."
Obito shot off like a meteor, vanishing into the distance with a fading echo of his scream.
"Captain!"
Naruto stared at the vanished Obito, then turned toward Frieza. "Who the hell are you?!"
"I'm the Emperor of the Universe and a member of the Great Dark Heaven—Frieza," he declared, pointing his finger to pull Naruto out of the snow as well. "Now then, do you want to end up like that guy just now?"
"Frieza!"
Naruto instantly activated his Super Saiyan Second Form and broke free of Frieza's suppressive energy.
The First Form of Super Saiyan prioritized power boosts, while the Third Form consumed too much stamina. In the end, Naruto chose the Second Form, which offered the best balance for sustained combat.
"What?!" Frieza was briefly surprised, then quickly regained his arrogant smirk. "So you can boost your strength by transforming, huh? What's your name?"
"Uzumaki Naruto!"
Naruto stared down Frieza, his fighting spirit surging. In contrast, Frieza looked as though he was just having fun.
"Uzumaki Naruto, I'll remember that. But I still need a guide in this world, so I won't kill you. Don't worry."
As he finished speaking, beams of light suddenly shot from Frieza's eyes.
Naruto narrowly dodged. The beams soared into the distance and exploded, kicking up a blizzard of snow and mist.
"That was close."
"Multi Death Beams!"
From Frieza's fingertip, a relentless barrage of Death Beams shot at Naruto.
"Rasengan Barrage!"
Naruto countered with a continuous stream of Rasengans from both palms.
The collisions between Rasengans and Death Beams triggered explosions, generating a smokescreen that obscured both fighters' vision.
Frieza seized the opening and leapt into the air, pressing his palms together and aiming them at Naruto below.
"Ki Burst!"
While not especially destructive, the Ki Burst created a powerful air current designed to blow the enemy away.
"Ahh!"
Naruto reflexively crossed his arms in front of his chest, but the strong wind still sent him skidding backward.
With a loud roar, Naruto broke through his Super Saiyan Second Form and ascended into the Third Form.
"You can boost your strength even further? Oh ho ho ho, this is getting more and more fun."
Frieza slowly descended, now facing Naruto in his Super Saiyan Third Form.
This time, Naruto attacked first—vanishing in a flash and appearing right in front of Frieza, launching a flurry of punches.
Frieza dodged every strike and, catching Naruto in the brief moment he retracted his fist, countered with a powerful kick from his right leg.
"Argh!"
Naruto cried out in pain but quickly suppressed it, grabbed Frieza's leg in return, and hurled him away—following up with a Rasengan Barrage.
The exploding Rasengans collided with Frieza midair, setting off a chain of violent detonations.
"I'm angry now, Uzumaki Naruto!"
Frieza blasted out from the smoke, appearing directly in front of Naruto. Expecting a strike, Naruto quickly took a defensive stance.
"Imprisonment Sphere!"
A glowing sphere enveloped Naruto, trapping him in a glowing spherical prison.
