Chapter 304: Parent-Child Day – Special Peace Star Contest

Sasuke walked in front, followed by Shuyu, Tetsubaki, and Sarada.

Sarada was walking on Shuyu's left, occasionally glancing at Tetsubaki on his right, quietly observing the relationship between the two.

However, both Shuyu and Tetsubaki were keeping their interactions to a bare minimum.

"Yo, Sasuke."

"Naruto."

Sasuke, who was wandering around with a group of kids, happened to run into Naruto, who was carrying Himawari on his back while leading both Future Boruto and Modern Boruto around in search of a Kurama plushie.

"What are you looking for, Naruto?"

"It's Kurama—the new toy just launched by the Hydra Corporation. Not only can you interact with it, but you can also feed it…"

"Come on. You've got so many real Nine-Tails at home. Why are you going around looking for a Kurama toy?" Modern Boruto said helplessly.

It was true: Naruto, Future Boruto, and Modern Boruto each had their own version of Kurama sealed inside them.

"Exactly, exactly! What's so great about that stinky fox anyway?" came a voice from the chamber pot Himawari was holding—Shukaku poked out its One-Tail head and spoke.

"Hmph, and what gives you the right to say that, after running to Konoha for protection?" Kurama inside Naruto scoffed, his consciousness surfacing along with the other Kuramas inside Future Boruto and Modern Boruto.

"You're just bullying me because I'm outnumbered!"

"All right, all right. Kurama, Shukaku—can you two not start bickering the moment you see each other?" Naruto said with a wry smile.

"Ah! I remember now—those are limited edition. Super popular with kids," someone said.

"You want one too, Sarada?"

"Hmm… not especially, I guess…"

"There are a lot of people here." Suddenly, someone cut in between Sasuke and Naruto—a figure with red dragonfly wings who leaned toward Hydra. "Rule one: never act on impulse. Rule two: never overlook a single evil deed. Rule three: absolute fairness and style in judgment. Captain Dragonfly reporting in!"

"It's Captain Dragonfly! Wait—does that mean… the Peace Star?!"

As Naruto continued using the Peace Star to fulfill his wishes, he gradually came to understand how important it truly was.

"That's right! The Peace Star!" Captain Dragonfly raised the glowing star in his right hand. "But everyone, don't get too excited. Today is Parent-Child Day, so today's Peace Star Contest will be a special Parent-Child Edition!"

"A Parent-Child Special Contest?" Naruto repeated in confusion.

"Yup! I secretly hid this Peace Star myself. So this time, the S.H.I.E.L.D. won't be involved."

"In that case, why don't you just hand it over to us directly?" Sasuke said bluntly.

"No, no, no—you all want that Kurama plush, right? So how about this: use the Peace Star to make your wish and earn it that way."

"Uh…"

Naruto glanced at Himawari; Sasuke also looked over at Sarada.

"I don't mind. How about you, Naruto?" Sasuke said first. Though he felt the Peace Star should probably be used for something more important, maybe he was feeling guilty toward Sarada, which made him accept Captain Dragonfly's proposal.

"Yeah, I'm good with it. Besides, Sasuke, it's been a while since we last competed."

"Yeah."

Both Naruto and Sasuke were unexpectedly fired up.

"Great! Then today's special Parent-Child Day Peace Star Contest will be a Yo-yo Battle!"

A yo-yo suddenly appeared in Captain Dragonfly's hand as he performed a dazzling array of tricks.

"Whoa, amazing…" Modern Boruto murmured unconsciously.

"This is a new toy the Hydra Corporation is about to launch. I… borrowed it early. A yo-yo is made of two round halves connected by a central axle, with a string tied to it and the other end looped around your finger. But at its highest level, it can create a special visual phenomenon—Radiant Light!" His hands moved faster and faster, forming a brilliant glowing spectacle in front of everyone. "Now then, I'll give you all three hours to practice. After that, we reconvene for the contest. Oh, and Naruto's team will be 'Team Blazing Fire,' and Sasuke's team will be 'Team Shockstrike.'"

Captain Dragonfly vanished in an instant, leaving behind just the right number of yo-yos for everyone.

Naruto, Future Boruto, and Modern Boruto would face off against Sasuke, Shuyu, and Sarada.

As for Himawari and Tetsubaki, they became the cheerleaders for their respective teams.

"Hmm… how do you even play with this thing?" Naruto examined a yo-yo curiously, picked one up at random, tossed it into the air—and immediately got bonked on the head when it fell.

"Pfft! Dad…" Modern Boruto laughed.

On the other side, Modern Boruto was already practicing smoothly and could even pull off a few tricks.

"Let's get started too," Sasuke said, picking up a yo-yo and glancing at Shuyu and Sarada.

"Yeah." Shuyu grabbed a yo-yo and activated his Mangekyō Sharingan. "I've already copied Captain Dragonfly's moves with my Sharingan."

"Huh?" Sarada blinked in shock. "You can do that with the Sharingan?"

"Mhm. Me too." Sasuke activated his own Mangekyō Sharingan.

"Hey! I heard that, Sasuke—that's cheating!" Naruto shouted.

"I'm just using my own abilities. You can ask Kurama for help."

"Kurama doesn't know how to do this stuff!"

"How about I teach you all how to play?"

A voice called out as a shield slammed into the ground in front of Naruto, and a shadowy figure landed beside him.

"Captain!"

"When it comes to yo-yos, I'm pretty skilled."

Obito—no, rather, Captain Hydra—spoke as he faced Naruto.

"That's right—you're running the Hydra Corporation now!" Naruto said with a bright smile.

"So Naruto's team got someone to coach them too…" Sasuke watched as Naruto's team began intense training under Captain Hydra's guidance. He then turned to Sarada. "Let's begin. I'll demonstrate once, and you copy it with your Sharingan."

"I'll work on some advanced moves on my side," said Shuyu.

"Looks like Sasuke's side is getting pretty fired up too…" Naruto commented as he watched them.

"Captain, do you know how to trigger the Radiant Light?" Modern Boruto asked after finishing a flashy move.

"Radiant Light is created by the high-speed rotation of the yo-yo. When it spins fast enough, it leaves afterimages—and when those overlap, they form the Radiant Light. But it only lasts a moment. So to truly master it, you need to keep the yo-yo spinning at top speed constantly. That means Radiant Light takes a lot of stamina."
