Whoosh!
Ash charged forward, his fist crackling with dark energy as he headed straight for the horde of goblins.
As soon as he got close, he launched his first attack, sidestepping a wooden club's strike from a goblin and, in turn, sending a powerful blow to its head.
The impact left behind a boom that exploded the goblin's head, its remains scattering all over the place along with its headless body.
Moving on, Ash turned to the left, where another goblin had hoped to sneak up on him. Acting fast, Ash shoved his fist into the goblin's chest and yanked out its still-beating heart.
As its body dropped, Ash jumped and twisted in mid-air, avoiding a swing from a particularly large goblin before landing a vicious kick to its jaw.
The goblin stumbled back, giving Ash the opening he needed. He followed up with a barrage of rapid punches, each one leaving a visible indentation on the creature's tough hide, until finally, with a guttural roar, it collapsed.
It took him quite a long time, but after a while of fighting every single goblin that approached him, Ash came out victorious. He stood at the center of their corpses with little to no injuries sustained from the fight.
Splash~
He swept his hands to both sides to get rid of the green blood that smeared them. Then, the system notifications came pouring in as he had expected.
[You have killed a large number of goblins.]
[400 points have been allocated.]
[Total points: 6000 points.]
Ash stared at the system for a while. 'This should be enough points to finally get that item.'
Before doing anything, he grabbed one of the dead goblins closest to him and then lifted it up with no effort. 'But first, let me see what I can get from this.'
The dark mana wrapped around his fist soon spread towards the corpse, devouring it until there was absolutely nothing left.
[You have devoured a forest goblin.]
[A new talent skill has been obtained.]
[Goblin Blood: When faced against any member of the goblin family, all stats are boosted to increase the chances of coming out victorious in a fight.]
'Goblins, eh? I am guessing the system is referring to orcs and the likes. Not a bad skill to get from dirty creatures like these. Now then, I should get-'
"Ahhhh!"
The sudden scream that erupted from behind him distracted Ash, causing him to immediately turn around and check who it was.
To his surprise, he noticed that the girl he had just rescued had woken up and was now gawking at the number of dead goblins around her.
"Please no! I don't want to die!" She managed to grab her purple hair, pulling it anxiously as her eyes drifted to her legs. "Why can't I feel my legs? I can't feel my legs, my legs!"
Ash could tell she was already panicking. Whatever the goblins must have done to her was probably too much for her mental state.
Taking a closer look at her, she wore a red dress with a single blade strapped to her waist. She looked more like a rich princess than an adventurer. A noble?
'Open store.'
[You have purchased a high-grade healing potion.]
[50 points have been deducted.]
As the blue bottle appeared in his hand, he moved closer to the girl and went down on one knee, offering the potion to her. "Here, it should heal all your injuries and restore your mana."
At first, the girl could only see the blue bottle hovering in front of her face. Then, she slowly lifted her gaze, only to see a man covered in goblin blood from head to toe, not to mention he had an exceptionally mean look on his face.
Frightened, the woman screamed yet again, this time clenching her fist to punch Ash in the face.
Ash caught her wrist before it could strike his face. Then, with his other hand, he opened the bottle and shoved the potion into her mouth, emptying the contents.
The woman was shocked, but there was nothing she could do but drink, especially since almost her entire body had been paralyzed.
After a while, once the bottle was empty, the injuries on the woman's body had completely healed. Her foot that had been swollen and bruised a few moments ago returned to normal as if nothing had happened to it before.
Ack!
The woman coughed as soon as the bottle left her mouth. "What the hell is wrong with you? Who shoves a bottle into a girl's mouth?" Mid-speech, she noticed she no longer felt any pain in her body. "I… I'm healed? Wha...?"
Ash stood up, sighing before looking away.
[Aisha has successfully secured the other victims.]
[Aisha is unharmed and worried.]
'Oh? She didn't run into any goblins? And here I thought I was going to have to go in and save her.'
"Uhm…"
As soon as Ash heard the girl's voice, he gave an internal sigh before turning around to look at her. "Yes, what is it?"
"T-Thank you for saving me," the woman said, holding both her hands together while looking at the ground.
Ash glared for a while. "I was only doing my job. Think nothing of it."
"Job?"
"Think nothing of it. Come, let me take you back to your friends."
Ash began to walk away, and the woman immediately sprinted towards him to catch up.
He could have easily asked who she was, seeing as the price to save her and her team was ridiculously high.
But to save himself the stress of having to deal with any issues later, he refrained from doing so. Not to mention, he could tell this woman was nothing but trouble.
In time, Ash met up with Aisha, and together they headed back to the guild with the victims after gathering all the magic stones from the goblins Ash had killed.
Upon reaching the Aogin Guild, guards who had been waiting inside all immediately surrounded the purple-haired girl, crying and apologizing for not coming to look for her and her friends sooner.
Of course, Ash paid them no mind; attention was the last thing he needed.
So instead, he headed to the counter to cash in his already completed quest.
"Aisha, Mr. Ash, good to see you again."

I would like to put up a new challenge, or rather a quota we can reach weekly.
50 power stones: 1 extra chapter.
50 gt: 2 Extra chapter.
These extra chapters will be accumulated and added during the weekends. I am not too expectant, but better done than kept.
