Early in the morning, Alexander snuck as usual into Daniel's room. He watched the sleeping figure roll over cutely, hugging a novel so tightly as if it might disappear if he let it go.
Alexander inhaled the sweet fragrance in the room and realized it was Daniel's pheromones. After staying with him all these days and the kiss last night, he was beginning to perceive them more clearly, despite Daniel wearing a powerful suppressant.
That was surprising because this wasn't supposed to happen. If it was happening to him, it meant Xylander must have been getting Daniel's scent, too. It seemed Daniel was a different type of Omega entirely. Apparently, when you're sexually involved with him on a deeper level, you begin to share his scent. The reason Daniel couldn't perceive theirs from afar was his emotional distance from them—something he and Xylander were determined to change.
Well, it was time to wake him up, that is, if he hadn't stayed up all night reading.
