A violent wind slammed against Daniel's face just as he was enjoying the peaceful embrace of sleep. No disturbance, no worries, nothing—until his enemy decided he would never know peace.
Groaning, he rolled slightly on the soft mattress, trying to bat away the cold licking at his skin, but it clung stubbornly, refusing to leave.
It only got worse when sunlight pierced his eyes, dragging him into a daze.
Who was that demon this early in the morning?
Daniel muttered as he finally dragged himself out of bed—only to come face-to-face with Alexander.
"Awake now, sleeping beauty? I thought you were waiting for your prince charming to kiss you," Alex teased, mischief dancing in those eyes of his.
Daniel frowned. Seeing him this early in the morning—was that a bad sign?
"I don't see a prince who interrupts their princess's sleep," Daniel retorted, still furious that his rest had been stolen.
Alex only shrugged.
