Chapter 64 - Bookaholic To The Rescue

There are times when Elias acknowledges that he is well and truly fucked. Like that one time he found himself in second class lower CGPA while in university, or that other time he woke up with an hangover, squinting at the sun and unimpressed looking campus police because he was lying naked on the campus historic statue. He suppose this could not even compare to the worst day of his life; puking because he was too scared to ski. 

Now, his sister was gaping at him in disbelief as though torn between smacking him and asking him what he had done. 

"Um, how far away is your place?" He asked, doing his best to avoid answering her question. 

Elias had never been good at lying to Ashley.

Avoiding the truth, though, that was a skill he'd mastered long before he ever fell into the book.

He moved through the apartment with purpose, folding clothes, shoving socks into a duffel, pretending his hands weren't shaking. Ashley hovered, arms crossed, eyes sharp and far too observant.
