Cassian realized for a horrid moment that he had fucked up. He watched Elias's face scrunch up in distress and smelt his pheromones turn a sour scent. He was torn between reaching out for him and leaving the cramped apartment. He hated... hated the way Elias looked so upset.
"I am sorry, Elias."
"Please," Elias's voice broke as he turned his gaze downwards and gripped the sheets. "Just go."
Cassian fiddled with his jacket on his hands for a moment. "Take care of yourself." He reluctantly turned on his feet and walked down the hallway and out of the window.
