Chapter 78 - Chapter 78 – Whispers of a New Emperor

The presses of the World Economy News Paper thundered without pause, spitting out sheets of ink that carried a single truth across the seas.

"Warlord of the Sea, Gecko Moria Defeated! Impel Down Massacre Mastermind Emerges Once More!"

"The Butcher of Impel Down Claims Victory at Thriller Bark!"

Big News Morgans's booming laugh echoed through the newsroom.

His wings fluttered as he slapped the latest headline onto the table, his beak wide with excitement.

"Fufufu! This is it! The story of the century! Magnus Delmar is shaking the world to its bones!"

Across the seas, the papers spread like wildfire.

In the East Blue, a straw-hatted boy lounged on the deck of a small ship, meat hanging from his mouth.

He blinked at the paper Nami smacked into his hand.

Luffy glanced at the portrait as if it were a memory rather than a revelation.

The sketch captured Magnus mid-sneer, silver hair whipped by the wind, Shusui gleaming faintly at his side.

"That's Magnus," Luffy said with a wide grin, the meat in his hand momentarily forgotten.

"He got a bounty and gotten stronger. I want to fight him soon."

Zoro's gaze lingered on the sword in the image, his visible eye narrowing as if weighing it against his own blades.

Nami pressed the paper flat, her eyes running over the numbers, the carnage, the titles.

The news felt like a chill sweeping across her skin.

"Impel Down, Vice Admirals, and now a Warlord," she murmured, her tone tight.

"He's not just strong… he's dangerous."

Sanji folded the page and exhaled a long plume of smoke, his eyes sharp as he glanced toward his captain.

"Be careful, Luffy. He's not someone you just stumble into. Men like that… they don't leave survivors by accident."

Luffy only laughed, pounding his fist into his palm, his grin wider than the doubt around him.

"Then we'll meet again."

In the New World, deep within a fortress of ice and sake barrels, Kaido threw his head back in drunken laughter.

"HOHOHOHO! The brat survived Impel Down and is tearing through Warlords already? Good! Let him rise! The higher he climbs, the sweeter it'll be when I crush him!"

Nearby, King and Queen exchanged grim looks. Even Kaido's tone carried an edge of seriousness they rarely heard.

On Amazon Lily, Hancock sat with the paper draped elegantly across her fingers, her sisters huddled close in shock.

"That man…" she whispered, her crimson eyes narrowing. "To defeat Moria so swiftly… The seas may truly have a new monster."

Her lips curved in a faint, almost dangerous smile.

"But he will never outshine me."

In Marineford, silence weighed heavy in the Fleet Admiral's office.

Sengoku's hands pressed flat against the table, his jaw tight as he read the latest report.

"Impel Down breached. Moria defeated. Giants of Elbaf siding with him. Bullet returned to the seas… all under one flag."

Garp stood in the corner, his usual grin gone, replaced by a grim shadow.

"That boy… he's not like the others. He's too damn calculated."

Beside Sengoku, Aokiji frowned deeply while Kizaru whistled low, his voice almost amused.

"Biiig trouble. He's not just making noise… he's changing the balance itself."

Sengoku slammed the paper down, his voice harsh.

"Then it's settled. Magnus Delmar is to be classified as one of the greatest threats alive. If he keeps this path… he'll rival even the Emperors."

And far away, on a throne bathed in shadow, Imu's hand curled slowly around the edge of the paper. The ancient gaze read every word, every name.

The silence of the Holy Land thickened until it felt like the world itself held its breath.

The whisper was soft, yet carried like a storm.

"Delmar…"

Back on the seas, aboard the ship of giants, Magnus leaned silently on the railing, eyes on the horizon.

His crew laughed and celebrated behind him, their spirits blazing with new pride.
