Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

I may have gone overboard.

I look at the house in front of me with a smile. After crafting all the basic tools, I immediately set out to create a base for myself. My first plan is to create a dirt box house for me to sleep in, but sadly, I get carried away.

Now? Now I have a house that looks like a house instead of a box made of dirt or planks.

While at it, I also created a small patch of farm in front of the house and made a fence around the house. I also shear the local sheep, kill some cows, and bring them to the small ranch next to my house.

I now have a set of iron armor, iron tools, food, and a farm to create more food. I go through all that just in time before the sun goes down. Unlike in the game, it takes longer to mine all the material, and it is harder to build a house when the block is half your height.

Getting down is hard, and I need to be careful not to break my bones. At least the water trick works in this world as long as it is ankle-deep. Less than that? It will not work. I only need a glass, and we will have a proper home. At the moment, I only use the spruce trapdoor as a window that I can close and open.

I create lanterns as a light source, making the home rather cozy. It is like a cottage in the middle of a forest. Combine it with the fact that my house is next to a massive lake, making it even more cozy.

After all that is done, I enter my house and take a steak. Watching the cow disappear and leave twenty kilos worth of meat is something to behold. Each steak is a kilogram, and I receive twenty pieces of it.

Yeah. I ate a kilo of meat this afternoon and am doing it again for dinner.

I don't know if it will cause a problem, but I will think of it in the future. I have nothing, after all.

After eating my dinner, I go to the other room to start tinkering. What? I have a lot of material I can use. I have three hundred blocks of cobblestones. Each one of them weighs 2500 kilograms or two and a half tons.

Yeah. That is a lot of material.

Without even taking them out of my |Inventory|, I convert half of them into [Resource] and nod my head in satisfaction. I can feel a new material appear to replace the one I just used. I want to use that resource to make something that helps me secure my home.

I already spread torches around the perimeter. I don't know if that will work just like in the game, which is why I want to create something to protect me while I am sleeping.

There are a few things I can build to defend my home. The first one is an automated turret. I might need to use almost all the material in my inventory, but it is something that I am willing to do.

I put my hand inside my inventory and froze. I curse a little because I have tools from the CYOA. In my excitement to play Minecraft, I forgot that I had basic tools in my inventory. I can gather a massive amount of materials with these tools.

Dammit!

Oh, well. I will use them tomorrow. For now, I need to start tinkering.

{{{===}}}

I decided to build a Tarantula Sentry Gun from Warhammer, but with a few things added. It is an automated sentry gun; it will attack if it is considered an enemy.

It takes hours for me to make this one. If not for the fact that I need to create a fucking energy generator, computer, sensor, and fabricator, it will only take a few minutes, half an hour at maximum, to complete the sentry gun.

I already put the sensors around the perimeter so the sentry gun can protect the area.

Anyway, the few things I add to the sentry gun are noise-dampening tech that ensures it does not bother me too much at night. I want to sleep.

I do not need to sleep, but I want to test a few things regarding this world. In the game, when you lie on the bed for a few seconds, you will immediately go to sleep and change the time. I want to test that. If that is not true, I will spend the night tinkering and do some mining.

It takes all the resources I collected earlier to make the sentry gun. Oh, well. I can get more. I leave the house and see that it is engulfed in darkness. I can see the mobs in the distance and know that the torches do their jobs.

However, I know they can walk to my house, and to make sure they do not blow up my house, I look at you, creeper. I walk up the stairs and put it on the rooftop. After a few seconds, the sentry gun comes to life, and I nod in satisfaction.

With that done, I get down and see a group of mobs running toward my house. They are zombies, skeletons, and spiders. However, the sensor detects them before they can get near my house, and I can hear the sentry gun move.

A second later, I can hear a quiet thumping noise from the rooftop and see the mobs explode into a chunk of gore before disappearing.

I nod in satisfaction and get inside my home.

Now… Let's test the bed. I walk to the bed and lie on it. I close my eyes and wait for a few seconds. When I open my eyes, it does not change the time. It is still night.

Oh, well.

At least, it will give me more time tinkering. There are a few things that I want to test. Among them? I want to see if the price for a single Iron Ingot differs from that of an Iron Block. At least I want to test if nine iron ingots give me the same [Resource] as when I do it with an Iron Block.

The weight is very different. Each iron ingot is one kilogram. However, if I combine nine iron ingots, I can get an Iron Block that weighs more than two tons. Is the price equal to nine iron ingots, or will it change?

If I make a number of each [Resource], 1 Iron Ingot is about 0.3R (Resource). It should give me 2.7R per block if the system does not account for the weight difference and counts only the number.

I walk toward my crafting table and put nine iron ingots on it. A second later, an iron block appears, and I grin.

My power supplies me with a massive exploit. The |[Resource] Bar| accounts for the weight and greatly increases the price. The previous 0.3R turns into 2362R. It is more than two thousand times the difference.

Holy shit! I can use this to jump-start my tech!
