Mira and Kayogara arrived just as Kai tried to speak.
Mira bowed her head to Sophie.
"I'm sorry… for everything."
But Sophie—overwhelmed with rage—placed a second curse.
"You will never bear a child.
The moment you fall in love… your body will freeze in time.
You will live like that. Forever."
Kayogara said nothing.
This… was all his fault.

Suddenly, the mountain behind them trembled.
Explosions had triggered the nearby volcanoes.
As the ground split, Kayogara grabbed Mira and fled toward safety.
A sinkhole tore open the battlefield—
Sophie, drained and barely conscious, slipped and fell in.
Kai ran.
He reached her just in time—grabbing her hand.
"Don't leave me!" Sophie cried.
Something sharp was in both of their eyes,but none could recognise.
"I won't," Kai shouted back,
"I'll always be there when you need me!"
Despite the crumbling rock, he pulled her out.
Together, they escaped down the mountain—still holding hands.

They reached safety, panting.
Kayogara raised a brow.
"Why are you two… holding hands?"
Both looked down.
Still locked fingers.
"Who said we are?" they blurted, pulling away awkwardly.
Sophie flushed, then growled—and tried to summon magic,
but collapsed from exhaustion.
Kai caught her before she hit the ground.
She slapped him across the face.
She knew he had killed her mother…
And yet…
She couldn't bring herself to kill him.
She thought ," Why....why can't I kill him.... Moreover what is this feeling about..... This pull towards him....What is it?"
But why?

Mira and Kai left Thronax, honoring Mira's promise.
