At the office, the esteemed guest with an indifferent aura was sitting. He was none other than Mr. Richard Holland, the top businessman in the country, single for a very long time. There were rumors that he would marry soon. The warden was amazed to see him in her office. She thought "Why has this man come to the orphanage? Doesn't he have kids around? He can have a baby anytime with anyone he wishes, so why is he here looking for kids from the orphanage?" Afraid of his aura, the warden chose to ask seductively, "Hello Mr. Holland, how are you doing? How come you are here?"
Mr. Holland, in his deep voice, only replied, "I am here to look for someone."
The warden asked, "Who may I know?"
Mr. Holland ignored her, and his secretary spoke on his behalf, "Mr. Holland would like to see all the children in your orphanage."
The warden decided to take Mr. Holland inside and asked the caretaker to prepare the kids. The caretaker dressed the kids nicely. Rosette wanted to impress the guest after learning he was rich and here to look for a daughter to adopt. She dressed well but decided to take the necklace from Riley's belongings—the one left by her parents—and wear it. Since Riley was not going to be around due to being locked up, Rosette decided to use her necklace.
All the well-dressed children stood in a line. Mr. Holland visited each child and passed by them. After a while, his eyes caught sight of the necklace Rosette was wearing. He picked her up and finally felt he had found the one. He told the warden, "I am going to adopt her."
The procedure was completed very quickly. The warden made sure she would receive a huge donation from him. Seeing her greedy eyes and the artifacts in her office, Holland realized that donations were not reaching the kids. Still, he decided to give a money cheque and left while saying something in a low voice to his secretary.
Ethan observed everything and thought good days were going to come soon. The little bunny wouldn't have to suffer anymore. The little bunny—when did he start giving her that nickname? He could still recall her crying face and felt something was amiss.
Ethan can listen from far, one of the traits he received as a demon.
Overjoyed, Rosette forgot to return the necklace and left.
