Chapter 1 - Initializing

He woke to nothing. No lights, no sounds, no ground beneath his feet. The panic hit fast, his breath accelerating with every second as he looked around for something, anything.

"Where-" the words died in his throat as he finally captured something in his vision. Initially thought to be a wall but looking up, he realized what he was looking at was no wall but instead a massive, impossibly tall being. Its presence sucking the atmosphere like the darkness was a part of it.

"I see you're awake." Said the figure in a stoic, reverberating voice. "Good. Let us begin, I have matters requiring more attention than a singular human." He struggled to breathe against the suffocating presence of the being but responded as best he could, "Y-you… what?"

"You may refer to me as ROB. In accordance with the rules, you are entitled to three wishes following your death and… unusual arrival within my domain." The words hit him like a truck, death, he was dead. "The first wish shall be physical, the second shall be mystical, and the third shall be mental." ROB paused, giving him time to process before continuing, "You will retain your memories. However, prior relationships, the nature of your origin world, and any information deemed non-beneficial to your reawakening will be removed."

"What?" His mind finally caught up to the words as his eyes widened. "No fucking way, I died, how? And I'm getting transmigrated like those stories I've always read?" ROB stared before responding, "How is of no use to you. Yes, you'll be transmigrated. Now, pick your wishes."

"Alright, alright. Let's think through this… actually, before that what world will I be spat into?" ROB responded, "Undetermined." Before waiting for him once again. "Well, that was no help, hmmm, alright. First must be physical so give me everything from Rainbow Six Siege." "Granted." "Sweet, now mystical, you know this whole process is different from the books I've read" "…" "Okay then, not the talkative type, got it. I'll go with Space, teleporting and stuff was always a dreamlike idea." "Granted." "Now, mental huh, hmmm, give me a Supercomputer." "Granted, now begone." Said ROB before promptly whisking him away.

He appeared suddenly. Looking around he recognized the area. He felt the stale, heated air whip against his skin. His eyes widening with recognition, Austin, Texas. He'd lived there his whole life.

Suddenly, his senses were bombarded causing him confusion and pain. He struggled to differentiate his reality from the memories. Blood coating his hands, muzzle flash and explosions brightening his field of view, concussive effects hitting him like a wall of heat and shrapnel from a breach blasted open beside him, the brightness of a little girl's eyes fading and dimming as she was hit from rounds aimed at him. Then came the overload as his senses processed GPS coordinates tracked through WiFi signals, voices entering his head from nearby calls and Bluetooth signals firing off in his head dictating locations while connections started expanding and growing to nearby devices like a fungus. The worst of it though came from the immense information as he saw cracks in the sky, vertices and math equations spinning in his head as he suddenly knew everything about the surrounding area in a single instant.

The side effects were instant, it started with a nose bleed, then his ears, followed by his eyes and his throat burning as he threw up blood and his skin burned as it felt like fire ants were crawling inside of him. As the memories bled into his reality. Different thoughts fought for control. One telling him to run, another yelling to look for cover, with yet another screaming to return fire.

Peter was leaning over the edge of the Empire State Building taking a brief break after having stopped a robbery. When his spider senses started blaring in his head and a scream resounded from behind him, "Ahh-" Peter looked at the man who appeared, lying there on the roof passed out and bleeding from his orifices. "Oh god, that's a lot of blood." Peter rushed into action, scooping the man up and quickly swinging off the building in a race against time to save the man's life.
