Chapter 12 - Chapter 12- Visiting the Eastern District's Han Clan

Ah Mieu hurriedly paid for a horse-carriage ride to take him back to the transportation hub. After he leaped out of the carriage, he sprinted past the plaza and reached a clearing, which was large enough to accommodate several thousand people.

Overhead, flying ships of various sizes were flying over. However, the scene was not chaotic, and ships had a certain level of order to their arrival and departure.

Even though people were traveling at this time of the morning, it was not enough to fill this clearing to the brim. So, Ah Mieu was thankfully able to swivel his way past everyone to reach his flying ship.

His ticket was first class, so his ship was among the largest ones around. However, compared to the dozen or so people lining up to enter this ship, the number of people near the smaller ones was numerous. The one with the least had several hundred people there.

Needless to say, Ah Mieu drew attention as he sprinted over to his ship. Both those riding in the first class like him, as well as those near the other ships. The latter was due to his shabby attire.

Nonetheless, Ah Mieu held a smile on his face as he waited to enter the ship. When it was his turn, the guard next to the steps leading up to the deck of the ship scrutinized his appearance.

However, when Ah Mieu took out his ID, the guard's gaze instantly changed.

After taking Ah Mieu's ID with both hands, he confirmed his ticket purchase by placing his ID on a small stone stele nearby, which then lit up with white Inscriptions that marked a valid ticket. After that was done, the guard was even more respectful to Ah Mieu as he handed back his ID with a polite bow.

"Thank you."

Ah Mieu thanked the man with a smile before he took back his ID and boarded the flying ship.

Ah Mieu was the last scheduled to arrive, so the steps leading up to the deck retracted before Inscriptions lit up on the bottom of the ship, which allowed it to rise into the air.

First-class flying ships held arrival and departure priority, so the smaller ships in the sky paused and cleared the airspace to allow it to leave.

After exiting the crowded airspace above the Northern District, the first-class flying ship entered the upper region of the sky that was designated for it before producing a sonic boom as it shot off to the Eastern District.

On the deck of the flying ship, there were both small and large seating areas for passengers.

Ah Mieu had chosen a seat at the edge so he could admire the scenery that was whizzing by. In the midst of observing the scenery, a female attendant came over and asked if he wanted anything to drink or eat.

Ah Mieu glanced around at the other seats, which were a bit sparse due to how early it was, and he saw that the others were drinking tea and munching on a few pastries.

After a pause, Ah Mieu looked up at the female attendant through his bangs and asked with a smile while pointing at one of the tables.

"Can I have what they are having?"

The female attendant glanced over before turning back to Ah Mieu and replied with a professional smile and a nod.

"Okay, I will be back shortly, Young Master Ah Mieu."

She then turned and left, her white robes swaying gracefully as she did.

Ah Mieu watched her go, but he wasn't surprised she knew his name, as it was on his ID when he booked the ticket for the ship, and workers like her were required to know the name of the person they were assigned to serve.

While Ah Mieu was waiting for his extremely early morning breakfast, his attention soon turned to the calm zither music playing throughout the deck, and he unconsciously began tapping his fingers along with the rhythm on the desk in front of him.

His head then joined in, rocking side-to-side. Afterward, his feet soon followed, swinging back and forth.

Perhaps it was only in these moments that Ah Mieu could afford to show his childish nature. After all, he only had two years to grow up when others his age had fifteen. Not that he was complaining, though. Those missing thirteen years, during which he was dreaming about those other lives, had given him something invaluable.

Thinking of this, Ah Mieu couldn't help but compare this zither music to the ones in those dreams.

"I prefer the ones in my dreams. Unlike the music in reality, which has virtually stayed the same since the dawn of time, the music in my dreams is so dynamic and addictive. Huh? Wait a minute..."

Ah Mieu suddenly had a thought appear in his mind. He raised one hand to scratch his chin before saying.

"My plan after leaving the Nine Desires Pavilion was to use my connections to control various industries in the Outer Circle and then slowly expand my influence to the Upper Circles, but I've never thought of touching the Music Industry. After all, it's not that developed."

Ah Mieu pondered for a minute before finally deciding.

"Even though it's a neglected industry in the eyes of cultivators and is only seen as mere entertainment, it wouldn't hurt to delve into it just for my personal enjoyment."

Just as Ah Mieu made this decision, the beautiful female attendant came back carrying a tray that had a pot of tea and a plate of pastries on it.

After politely thanking the female attendant, Ah Mieu happily drank and ate his pastries as the ship flew to the Eastern District.

Each Circle in the City of Pangu was as its name suggested. They were built in a circular shape, so in the Outer Circle, there were two ways to travel from one district to another.

The first was to directly fly through the Inner Circle and the Main Circle, while the second was to travel along the circle around them. However, flying directly through the Inner Circle and Main Circle was forbidden, so the only method was the second one.

So, the pathway taken by the first-class flying ship was a circular route. However, the speed of the ship was very fast, so the time it took to go from the Northern District to the Eastern District was just a little over an hour.

After the flying ships above the Eastern District's airspace cleared a path, the first-class ship landed. Soon after, Ah Mieu disembarked with the other passengers and then curiously began looking around. However, he quickly realized there wasn't much to see as this place looked almost identical to the Northern District's transportation hub. Perhaps the only difference was the clothes the locals wore, and a few dishes served in the restaurants. Which could all be explained by different environmental factors.

With nothing new to see, Ah Mieu quickly made his way to the Eastern District's Han Clan following the information he purchased from the Shadow Messenger Guild.
