The winds blew strong with the raging storm outside.As the rain hit the window, the cry of a woman could be heard in a dark room surrounded by maids, she was .. beautiful with her light brown hair and brown eyes, the woman screamed in labour as she tried her best to push the baby out with the maids encouraging her to push while taking good care of her.
Beyond the door was a handsome man waiting anxiously for the baby to be born as he walked around while breathing heavily and continuously running his hands through his red hair, his eyebrows, and small mustache below his nose and his chin matched the colour of his hair, with his dark blue eyes that resembled the colour of the ocean. After a few minutes the door open and one of the ladies came out.
"S-Sir, the birth was successful a-and it's a baby g-girl but m-madam is in a b-b-bad condition b-but the doctor has checked up on her, he said that she would be f-fine " the woman said while stammering as she trembled with fear.
The man did not utter a word as he walked silently into the room, the air on the room became cold as the women felt a sudden chill run down their spine, he quietly moved forward to where the woman who had just given birth lay weakly, her body looked pale and her lips had lost it's colour.
" Selene please be okay " the man said with a cold face but was a deep sorrow in his eyes.
" Keldok " the woman said weakly as she turned slowly as her hands touched the man's face weakly.
" Please stay with me " the woman whispered with her more weakly as she fell into a deep slumber.
Keldok gave a deep sigh of relief as he heard of the shallow breathing of selene as she lay weakly on the bed.
" Call the godfather and inform him about the meeting immediately " keldok said as his deep voice boomed in the dark room. The women scurried out ot the room as to not bear his wrath.
" The meeting will hold by 10pm this night " pérro his right hand man and his close friend said after making a call as he stared silently at the man.
" She is going to be alright, she's a strong woman " pérro tried to comfort him as he stared at the woman pitifully.
Suddenly the head maid walked in and silently stood beside the door waiting to get any orders from the men in the room.
" Esmerelda make sure you take very good care of my wife " keldok said in serious tone as he and pérro walked out of the room to where the meeting would be held.
In the massive hall there was a giant table placed at the center filled with chairs beside it, the door creaked open as keldok and pérro arrived and seated on one of seats close to the head of the table as the godfather walked in with a cold calculated gase, raising an eyebrow as to why keldok would call for such a meeting at this hour and sat on one of the chairs at the head of the table.
" My wife has put to birth " keldok said with a cold expression, waiting patiently for the man to speak.
The man seemed unphased about the birth of his grandchild as his assistant poured him a glass of wine " well, you know the rules if it is a boy he lives but if it's a girl...she would have to be sent away and you know where " the godfather said in a deep voice as he gave a smirk that sent chills crawling through keldok 's spin while taking a sip from his wine.
" It's either that or she will be sent to the pit when she is older " the godfather said casually like it was a normal occurrence.
The godfather stood and walked calmly in front of him " so what is my grandchild going to be " he said in a chilling voice with no emotion in his voice.
"It's a girl" keldok answered him casually but there was a fear deep in his heart about what would happen to his daughter because he knew the traditions and it most be followed otherwise there would be a very big problem
In their family which also known as the 'estello' they are the most powerful Mafia family, if a girl is born for the fifth time she would have to be taken away and forced to perform some rites to prove that she is worthy of bearing the name estello, some have died in the process while some of them bearly made it out alive ,and they would just become a shell of themselves.The estello family estate has three houses in it's vicinity, one mansion is where the godfather stays and nobody is allowed in without his permission except for his only son keldok, the second mansion is where keldok and his wife lives in and the third Mansion is for the maids, the cooks, the butlers and the women who help the meldov family give birth to their child and there have been trained by best professional doctors in the world, the godfather ensures that they learn every skill necessary for them to help the women as it was their tradition for many years.
In the long halfway leading to the meeting room, hurried footsteps can be heard as one of the women who helped keldok's wife rushed into the meeting room trembling with fear as sweat dripped down her forehead.
The godfather wondered who would dare badge into the room without his permission, he stared at the maid with a straight face waiting for her to to explain herself.
" Godfather, sir, the b-baby has been taken " the maid said hurriedly trembling with fear. Keldok suddenly tensed and rushed out to the other estate where his wife was only to see her in the room crying in the arms of the women that helped her give birth to the baby.
" K-k-keldok my b-baby girl " selene cried as she rushed into her husband's arms. "Please help me find my baby girl " selene cried continuously in her husband's arms looking for warmth and comfort as her heart was restless and everyone could not help but looked at the woman who cried in agony with pity and deep sorrow in their eyes.
Keldok held selene in his arms trying to comfort her while whispering sweet words in her ear, he silently dismissed the women and a few maids that were in the room, he carried his wife and laid her silently on the bed while she looked at him with tears in her eyes as she suddenly felt a sharp pain her abdomen, she gently touched her abdomen while letting out a sharp scream. keldok panicked as he saw blood pull down on Selene's thighs and hurriedly called for the women to come and examine her as he rushed out to give them some privacy. Selene's screams could be heard through out the mansion as the women tried their best to relieve her of her pain.
A few hours later...
" We're sorry sir but we could not save her " one of the women said as she shed a tear at the loss of their madame, she was their only hope and their strength. She light to the once dark estate, they scared that estello men will resolve back to their old ruthless ways. There was a time the house was filled with the estello men and women, they would drink, dance around the heads of their enemies, or take turns in torturing their enemies, involved themselves in all types of sinister crimes, while torturing and letting down their anger on the maids, the chefs, the butlers of the estate and party with escorts by their side anytime they finish a mission successfully and as the men said 'there is no room for failure', that was their motto and they cherished it more than anything.
Keldok felt a sharp pain in his heart as he thought of his wife's death, though he kept a straight face he rushed to see her and dismissed the women, he laid on the bed and held her close to his arms as he silently shed tears as he reminisced the moments he had with her and the moments he could have had with her by his side always. Moments passed and he could still feel the tears as it rolled down from his eyes, the pain felt was immense and he could not imagine a day without her.
The godfather heard the news before keldok had heard it as nothing can be happen without the him knowing about it and was at lost for words as he knew how much keldok loved his wife. "Begin the preparations for the burial " he gave out the instructions to his assistant Chris.
A few days later.....
The burial ceremony had place and everyone had mourned for their madame and the loss of the child as they deeply cherished their madame.
In mansion .....
"Keldok..." Pérro saddened voice echoed in the cold and dark room as he looked at keldok who was at the balcony, lost in his own thoughts as he grieved for the lose of his wife drowning himself in alcohol as he stared into the dark of the night.
" Find my child and bring her back to me at all costs " keldok's said with anger in his voice at the audacity of the person who stole his child. He knew that it has to be someone very close to the estello family because the family estate was mored secured and no enemy could breach in without getting caught the next second.
" Yes boss " pérro said as he left the room and began carrying out instructions to their men and from that day on pérro vowed that he would stop at nothing until he found the child for his boss.
