After I came back to the inn, it was already night. The town was recovering from the attack. When I entered the inn, I saw Catalina waiting for me in the lounge. As soon as she saw, she rushed to me and started checking if I was alright. She stopped when she saw I was alright.
"What were you thinking when you rushed like that? What if you gotten hurt?"
I became stunned by the sudden outburst but soon regained my composure. Suddenly a warmth surged inside of me.
"I am sorry. I shouldn't have rushed so suddenly."
"You shouldn't have rushed in like that. What if you get hurt in the process?"
"I am sorry"
After calming her, I gone to take a bath. I went bed after taking bath. As Sylvia was tidying up my bed, I asked what happened when I was gone. She told me that Catalina helped the town with her healing magic and often helped the soldiers exterminating the loose demonic beasts.

After Sylvia left the room, I took out the Grimoire that I found in the cave. It had an eye symbol on the grimoire and as I opened the grimoire, it was like I was absorbing some kind of power. After some time, it felt like I am suddenly drained. Then as I looked around, a sudden window appeared in front of me like showing the states of the items I am focusing on.
Curiously I focus on the sword that my father gave to me when I left for the academy.

It has anti-magic properties at certain points of the sword [Can stop magic attacks] Magic can be infused by the person it willingly binds with. The effects of the sword increases more if lightning magic is infused in it. Cannot be held by anyone other than the person it binds with. Magic effect depends on the mana capacity of the person wielding the sword.
After seeing the states of my sword, I was quite amused as I got one of the best swords in the beginning of the story. While think of it, I thought of this skill. It was one of the skills of Vexor, the Shadow Sight. Due to this skill, Vexor was known as the Shadow Seer.
Shadow Sight is a S rank appraiser skill which enables the user to appraise any items and gauge the skills of any person but it only works on people who has lower or a certain level higher than the wielder. But it can identify the person's identity without any limitation which made Vexor a extremely difficult opponent as he can identify even if we are in disguise.
I think I just created a butterfly effect unknowingly. Because if Vexor didn't get the skill, it will mess with the future events. Its already done, so I can't really do anything about it now. I must be careful about it.
An idea surfaced my mind now, if I look in the mirror and focus on my reflection, I might be able to see my states. So, I immediately go to a mirror and focus on my refection. Just as I though, a window popped up. After getting a glance, I was shocked.
My overall states are very high. And what's more intriguing is that although my magic power was high but I had abnormally massive mana reserve which is even significantly more than the mage tower masters. And I also had 3 S rank skills from the start without obtaining them except Shadow Sight.
Amongst the 3 skills, they were:
Blessing of Brigid which enhanced my healing properties in my body, increases the effect of my healing magics and, I am not immune to all kind of poison and curses. That explains why the curses of the dark mages had no effect on me. Blessing of Vormaxia which in enable me to learn things at a great speed, can memorize after only in one glance and catch up on thing very quickly. Arcane Focus which increases my control and understanding of the magic and magical circuits vastly.
Other than that, I had Vortigern family swordmanship which is an A ranked skill and a various range of magic skills.
I went to bed for rest after analyzing my skills. After resting that night, we head toward the capital the next day.
While travel I used my appraiser skills on Catalina and Sylvia. As expected Catalina had very good overall states for a mage prodigy but what intrigued me was Sylvia's states. Although Sylvia's overall states were average but a particular S rank skill that caught my attention.
Shadow Touch, it is skill that is very popular amongst assassin class. But this particular skill is unique as it is hereditary skill which means she is from an assassin family. This skill was not mentioned in the novel. I only know now the Shadow Sight skill. What's more concerning is that it is inactive.
After much thought, I decided not to concern about it at the moment.
After another 3 days of traveling and passing through 3 more towns and 1 city, we finally reached the capital city Vinswin. Immediately after enter the city, we head toward the Royal Vinswin Academy.
