Chapter 391 - Chapter 391: RUN!

Chapter 391: RUN!

What's most important on the battlefield of cold weapons?

Momentum!

The old military saying "strike hard, strike fast, strike first" perfectly describes this.

Although one side in the battle was holding a gun, the gun that fired bullets was actually less effective than a wooden stick. Under the charge of the elite commando team composed of the Hobbs brothers, whose physiques were all bodybuilding champions, they instantly fell in droves.

The ship of Eteon, which had long lost contact with its troops and realized something was wrong, had just dispatched a helicopter, which had only flown to the edge of the island when it lost control like a shot bird and crashed into the sea.

Meanwhile, the Samoan warriors had already wiped out the troops on the ground.

"BOSS, the virus capsule on my sister has been removed. What should we do with it?" Deckard Shaw, having cleaned up the battlefield, brought Hattie to Ron.

In his hand, the three blue capsules in the box shone with an eerie light in the rising sun, looking rather beautiful.

"What else can we do? Destroy it, of course!" Ron turned and yelled at Jonah, "Turn off the jammer."

Ron took the capsule box from Deckard, waved it at the sky as if in a show of defiance, and then casually tossed it into the campfire.

At the Eteon headquarters, which was watching this scene via military satellite, a chorus of curses erupted: "How dare he destroy the Snowflake Virus?! That's the stuff we poured so much effort into developing!"

"Madman! He must be a madman! Even if he didn't want it, he could have exchanged it on the black market for a lifetime's worth of wealth, how dare he burn it!"

The leader at the head of the table remained expressionless, not joining the chorus of curses against Ron, but instead beckoning a subordinate: "Do we really have no research data on the Snowflake Virus at all?"

"No, all of it. That Russian destroyed all the data when he defected." The subordinate answered tremblingly, his lips moving as if he wanted to say something but hesitated.

The leader glared at him: "What else is there? Tell me all at once. Is there any worse news than the destruction of the Snowflake Virus?"

"No, it's not bad news," the subordinate said fearfully. "To be precise, it's good news. When that Russian was developing the Snowflake Virus, he also created a virus sample that wasn't as toxic. However, headquarters didn't want it at the time, so they sold it to the US military. Maybe we can find it and re-develop the Snowflake Virus based on that virus's genetic segment."

"Oh? Is that so?" The leader's expression changed. Although he knew that re-developing a more powerful virus from a similar virus's genetic segment would require a lot of effort, something was better than nothing. "Where is that thing now?"

The subordinate hurriedly replied, "Fort Detrick, Maryland."

However, whatever Eteon planned to do was no longer Ron's concern. After finishing up the matter on Samoa Island, Ron returned to the United States with Hobbs and Deckard Shaw, who had been released from the wanted list. Ron didn't even go home; he immediately boarded a plane to his hometown in Texas.

Because another big event awaited him.

After a long courtship, Missy had finally decided to get married.

"Congratulations, Forrest, happy marriage." Ron hugged Forrest, who had driven to pick him up from the airport. "Where's Missy?"

"She's at home, preparing for the wedding with my mom." Forrest hugged Ron back and sat up straight in the driver's seat.

"Hey, you look nervous. Don't be nervous, my brother. Tell me what you're thinking? Wait, you're not still thinking about that little tramp Jenny, are you?!" Ron joked, but his expression turned menacing when he mentioned Jenny's name.

Forrest and Missy grew up together as childhood sweethearts, but another person who grew up with them was Jenny Curran, a woman who had fallen from grace and was one of Ron's ex-girlfriends.

Of course, Ron was just playing around; no one would seriously date a woman who could run into at least three men with whom she'd had physical intimacy while buying a pack of cigarettes, right?

However, just like all the "bad girls" who eventually want to find a nice guy to settle down with, Jenny also set her sights on Forrest. No "bad girl" would turn a blind eye to the naive and innocent Forrest, and the worst part was that Forrest didn't know how to refuse.

The good news was that Missy had already stumbled upon Jenny's body before she even finished undressing; the bad news was that Missy saw everything, which made her and Forrest angry for years.

"No, no!" Forrest quickly shook his head. "It was really a misunderstanding last time. Jenny ran into my room and told me she thought she had a lump in her chest and wanted me to take a look. I've already explained it to Missy."

If any other man planning to marry Missy said this, Ron would have slapped him across the face, but since it was Forrest, Ron believed him.

Because he was Forrest, a man who would never lie.

"Okay, next time if a woman says she wants someone to look at a lump in her chest or a birthmark on her inner thigh, please have them contact me directly. I'm a professional in this area." Ron sighed.

"I know, Ron. When did you learn to be a doctor?" Forrest asked curiously.

Ron complained somewhat dejectedly, "I taught myself gynecology, okay? Damn it! I'm starting to doubt whether you can even take care of Missy."

"Ron, I've never been a smart person, but I know what love is." Forrest turned his head and said seriously.

"Okay, I believe you. You can definitely take good care of Missy, right?" The car stopped right next to the wedding lawn on the road, and Ron and Forrest got out together.

In the distance, Missy, in a pure white wedding dress, was already waiting on the lawn, leaning on her father George's arm and waving to them with a smile.

"Ron, look, I'm getting married!"

Ron was overwhelmed with emotion. Time really flies. It felt like just yesterday that little girl always pestered him for candy, and now she was marrying his best friend.

Ron couldn't help but feel a little teary-eyed, but he knew he wasn't the main character today. Ron patted Forrest's shoulder heavily: "Today is your big day. Go, Forrest, run!"

Forrest ran towards the altar, and Ron sat down next to George.

"You're late, busy man," George complained.

"Sorry, unlike you tire dealers, I'm busy saving the world. Otherwise, why do you think you'd be sitting here peacefully attending a wedding?" Ron retorted without hesitation. "Someone always has to bear the burden, right?"

"Shut up, you two!" Mary turned around and glared at the brothers. "Today is Missy's big day, I won't allow you to argue."

Mary waved to the band by the altar, and the Wedding March began to play.
