Chapter 389 - Chapter 389: Can't Find an Opening

Chapter 389: Can't Find an Opening

"Name: Ron Lee Cooper, Occupation: Agent, Department: IRS Special Operations Team, Known for his love of using heavy firepower to destroy his opponents, Family members..." In the white hall of Eteon, Ron's information was read out item by item by a mechanical voice.

Around the round table, among the men in white, one suddenly stood up excitedly. "Hey! He values his family a lot. Maybe we can start with his family. If we kidnap his family, he'll definitely..."

"Impossible! Stop showing off your stupidity!" The man in white at the head of the table slammed his hand on the table. "Ron is very cunning. His family is indeed his weakness, but look at this guy!"

On the screen, Forrest's calm, cold-blooded killer face appeared (actually, he was in a daze).

"He's a former U.S. Special Forces member, now Missy Lee Cooper, Ron's sister's boyfriend…"

"Just a retired special forces soldier, is that all that scares you?" The white-clad man, who had been interrupted, retorted. "We can easily take her down with just one combat squad."

"Idiot, I seriously doubt how you even got into the core board! Sit down and listen to me!" The white-clad man at the head of the table roared. "Look closely, he's not alone!"

On the screen behind him, Forrest's photo disappeared, replaced by a bunch of photos of various intimidating-looking people of different races.

"Heavy Armor Duty, Medic, Blake, Duke… don't tell me you've forgotten these guys who ruined our plans!" The man in white read out the code names of the people in the photos one by one. "And all of them were saved by that guy just now, and now they live near the Cooper family in a kind of combat response formation.

Several of them even work at his restaurant or Ron's brother George's tire shop. Now tell me, who among you still thinks kidnapping his family is a good idea?"

"How about we kidnap his brother? He has a brother named Sheldon who works at Caltech and is a top scientist. I've also heard he has many female admirers. Maybe we can target them?" another person suggested.

"Believe me, that's definitely not a good idea," the white-clad man at the head of the table sighed. "Ron is extremely cunning. Before he even set off, he had already sent his men to protect those he considered important, even Hobbs' only daughter.

I have a feeling this man will become our greatest enemy in the future."

"Then what do we do? The latest intelligence says they've already taken the virus host to Samoa."

"Then send our best squad to bring back the virus samples! Since he likes heavy firepower, let's take our best weapons and bombard it! Sink that island!"

A white-clad man weakly raised his hand. "But what about our virus samples? The female agent with the host is still on the island."

"FUCK! Let's bring her out first, this is really…"

The white-clad man couldn't find the words to describe it. Meanwhile, on the other side of the earth, on a small island in Samoa, an archipelago nation near the equator.

"This is what they call being stuck between a rock and a hard place," Ron explained. Seeing the still bewildered Samoans, he patiently continued, "It's like trying to catch a porcupine with your bare hands—no matter where you grab, you're gonna get stuck. We are that porcupine now."

"But Eteon will definitely send their most elite troops, and we don't even have a gun. What are we going to do?" Hobbs asked worriedly. He had just finished chatting with his mother when he received this devastating news.

Although the modification factory had all sorts of weapons, not a single bullet was available, thanks to his mother's orders. She had even thrown away all the guns he'd left on the island.

"Jonah, is Grovsky's stuff alright?" Ron asked, turning to the side.

"No problem, it's been tested, and it works perfectly." Jonah patted an elderly man with a full head of white hair beside him and gave him a thumbs up.

"Okay, now let me introduce you to a new friend," Ron pulled the old man forward. "Dr. Viktor Grovsky, a former Soviet physicist, ended up in Los Angeles after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Those blind old guys at Caltech actually made such a brilliant scientist do cleaning work!

If my brother hadn't participated in the physics competition organized by the college, I wouldn't have known that America was wasting talent to this extent, so I invited him to join my lab."

Two years ago, when Sheldon participated in the physics competition, he fell out with Howard and the others over a series of trivial reasons, including team names and slogans, and ended up forming his own team to participate in the competition.

Given Sheldon's lack of popularity, the outcome was predictable. So, he could only gather the school's janitors and cafeteria staff to make up the number of participants.

This was just one of Sheldon's many unremarkable farces, but on the last question, Sheldon was stumped, and neither side could answer it.

Just as they were at an impasse, a janitor suddenly bypassed Sheldon and answered the question directly—and it turned out to be the correct answer.

This piqued Ron's interest. Sheldon was widely recognized as one of Caltech's top physicists, yet even he couldn't answer a question answered by an unknown janitor.

If the world wasn't so absurd, this janitor must be extraordinary, and indeed he was.

Viktor Grovsky, the janitor's name, was a former Soviet physicist who had participated in secret Soviet military projects. After discovering this, Ron immediately extended an invitation.

"Aren't we discussing how to deal with Eteon right now? How to stop Eteon's attack before the virus in Hattie's body is extracted?" Deckard asked, annoyed.

"That's right, that's what I'm talking about," Ron grinned mischievously, eliciting screams of delight from the Samoan girls watching in the distance. Ron waved in that direction and continued,

"This brings us to Dr. Grovsky's new invention. We all know that in terms of technological strength, we are inferior to Eteon. They have all sorts of rifles, missiles, and so on, while we only have a few spears passed down from our Samoan ancestors, and a bunch of unloaded guns, not even as good as firewood."

"Fortunately, Eteon's forces have one major weakness, which is…"
