Ervin's POV
The bookstore clerk's face went through several expressions as Yin pointed at section after section.
"That entire shelf. All of it."
"Sir, that's—"
"And that one. Everything on ancient civilizations. Roman history. Greek history. Medieval history. Archaeological methodology. Archival research techniques." Yin moved through the store like a man possessed. "If it's about history, I want it."
"Sir, we're talking about hundreds of books—"
"Did I stutter?" He cut him off.
I watched from a discreet distance as Yin proceeded to buy out what had to be half the history section. The clerk called for backup. Then for more backup. They started stacking books in the aisles, creating towers of leather-bound knowledge that would have made a librarian weep with joy.
"How are we even transporting all this?" I asked when Yin finally paused for breath.
