After a long while, Yami finally pieced it all together.
"So… this is the Multiverse Dungeon."
He now had a clear grasp of what it was and what it could do.
First was its structure. Ten levels in total. This place, the Bone Cemetery, was the first. And every layer was his to shape.
He held complete authority over it... Dungeon Creation, Monster Creation, Rule Development all under his control.
The main purpose? That was even simpler.
Through Otherworld Summoning, he could forcibly pull beings from entirely different worlds into his dungeon.
The summoned would arrive as "adventurers," tasked with clearing the dungeon he'd designed. In reality, they were nothing more than an income source.
Their deaths would feed the system data, data that could trace their home worlds. With enough, a Gate to Another World could be opened.
Once the gate was open… he could invade that world openly, take whatever he wanted, strip it bare.
"…So you basically want me to be the final boss that invades other worlds?"
A slow grin formed.
He wasn't exactly a bleeding heart. If anything…
"…Sounds fun."
The thought made his eyes gleam. He was already itching to build his first dungeon and try an invasion.
Over an hour later, the first floor's foundations were done.
At the Bone Cemetery's center, he created a vast circular city — the City of Bones. It would serve as the main hub for adventurers who reached the first floor in the future.
For now, it was empty. No guards, no residents, not even NPC merchants.
The void beneath the first floor's central plaza, leading to the second floor, would be his actual dungeon layers.
At present, he could only make ten layers total. Each one needed rules, monsters, and challenges.
"Monster Creation."
The menu unfolded in his mind.
Monsters were made by combining Monster Embryos with Monster Memes.
Embryos were like blank monster eggs, pure potential without traits.
Memes defined their abilities, instincts, and quirks.
He could create unlimited embryos but for now, only certain prototype embryos were unlocked: Skeleton, Zombie, and Mummy.
Using just the prototypes, he could spend magic stones to create basic versions — Skeleton Soldiers, Zombies, Mummies — each carrying its own unique meme:
Zombie — "Infection": Infect living organisms through wounds.
Mummy — "Corrosion": Skin, cloth, and bandages carry a corrosive effect.
Skeleton Soldier — "Reorganization": If the skull remains, it can rebuild a body from nearby bones, even from other skeletons.
Mixing prototypes with additional monster memes could create completely new monsters.
And then there was one entry that caught his eye
Infinite Protoembryo.
When he raised his hand, a glowing red, egg-like sphere materialized before him, radiating strange energy.
[Item]: Infinite Embryo
[Race]: Undead
[Effect]: Can create infinite monsters.
This was the Infinite Embryo, a unique prototype, one per dungeon floor.
Unlike standard embryos, which locked a monster's form and growth potential once created, the Infinite Embryo allowed for continued fusion with new memes.
Monsters born from it could evolve far beyond their original state.
"…So this one's basically meant to make my top lieutenant."
Yami glanced at his available memes. Only one stood out... the D-rank Hard Armor. Not much of a choice.
"Alright, let's see what you can do."
[Ding! You have successfully created a monster using the Infinite Embryo. Please design its appearance!]
"…So I can customize them too?"
His mind spun with possibilities. Since there was only one Infinite Embryo per floor, this monster's appearance should stand out something that could command others and look the part.
After a few moments, the form began to take shape. A girl pale as moonlight, with long white hair and crimson eyes. Beautiful, but with an eerie stillness.
[Ding! Please name the created monster: Immortal Girl!]
"…Yeah, but let's put some clothes on her first."
With a wave, Yami conjured a flowing white dress and a thin veil that draped over her figure, giving her an ethereal, almost saintly appearance.
The girl's expression remained lifeless, her crimson gaze fixed solely on him, waiting for his command.
"Naming, huh… I'm not great at that on the spot. Let's go with… Ella."
It was casual, but the moment the name left his lips, her pupils brightened. She gave a firm nod, a hint of acknowledgment in the gesture.
"…Can't speak, but understands commands. Good."
He pulled up her status window.
[Monster]: Immortal Girl Ella
[Rank]: Level 1
[Title]: Ordinary
[Race]: Undead
[Memes]:
D-Rank: Hard Armor (Lv.1)
S-Rank: Undead Control (Lv.1)
