A hint of solemnity flickered in Apocalypse's eyes; one of his abilities was threat sensing.
He felt a threat from Ron, a feeling he hadn't experienced in thousands of years.
Ron's strength was at least on par with his, and out of respect for a powerful being, he didn't address Ron as a child.
"Ron…"
After a long time, Magneto looked at Ron again, complex emotions in his eyes: "You've finally appeared again."
He and Ron had once agreed to see whose path was most correct for Mutants. Since then, he had been pursuing his own activities and also keeping an eye on Ron, wanting to see what he would do.
But in the end, he only found Raven and White Queen, who had opened the Umbrella Corporation, while Ron remained elusive.
"Eric.
I once made a pact with you to see whose path was better suited for Mutants."
Turning his gaze to him, Ron chuckled.
"Now I have some regrets.
After two years, it seems your only achievement has been destruction."
The only thing Magneto had accomplished was founding the Brotherhood, the World's largest terrorist organization, constantly causing destruction to human governments, leaving them in disarray while he was a wanted fugitive.
"What about you, Ron?"
Magneto retorted coldly.
"Is your goal limited to running a company?
Saving Mutants with capital?"
He had witnessed Umbrella's rapid growth, swiftly becoming an international corporate giant, covertly helping and sheltering Mutants.
But it was nothing remarkable; if he wanted to, he could destroy everything Ron had built in less than a month.
Ron was hiding himself, which was the act of a coward.
"Destruction is always easier than creation.
You'll see what I'm doing."
Understanding Magneto's thoughts,
Ron smiled unhurriedly.
After Magneto became more extreme under his influence, his perspective on things seemed to lose its clarity.
"Eric, go,"
Apocalypse suddenly murmured, his words laced with ruthlessness and coldness.
"Right here, unleash your potential and let these weak mortals witness our power."
"As for your old friend, leave him to me."
The ancient castle turned to dust, clearing a clean space for Magneto to act.
The stage had been set for him.
In his plan, Magneto was his most crucial element.
"Ron, you will understand that I am the correct one."
Magneto stared at Ron, raising his hands, his face filled with passion: "Watch, from the ruins, new life will emerge."
In his eyes, he seemed to see the birth of a new epic chapter—a new chapter belonging to Mutants, something he had tirelessly pursued.
With that, Magneto manipulated the magnetic field and flew backward.
After flying a distance, he stood in mid-air, closing his eyes to feel the Earth's magnetic field enveloping the globe—a World-destroying weapon that only he could wield.
He exerted his influence with his power.
Rumbling, metals like iron, cobalt, and nickel, pulled from deep within the Earth, broke through the ground like sprouting seeds, firm and powerful.
This scene occurred all over the World; the entire Earth trembled.
"Another earthquake?"
"Look, what's happening? The buildings are disintegrating!
Planes are veering off course."
"My car, all the cars on the street are flying up, what's going on?"
In the steel cities, people in their homes felt the tremors in panic, traffic on the streets stopped, and people got out of their cars.
They watched vehicles shaking, being pulled upwards by an unseen force.
Skyscrapers crumbled, steel beams, road signs, vehicles, rebar flying from buildings, and all other metal objects converged in the sky, clearly revealing thick magnetic field lines.
Without prior arrangement, people across the World watched everything around them in terror.
"Oh my God, is this the end of the World?"
Outside New York.
"Ron, perhaps you are the ultimate answer to the problem,"
Apocalypse said in a low voice.
He was certain that Ron's ability was far from as simple as rumored, merely being able to copy five abilities.
"Your body will serve as the new vessel for a god, receiving worship in an era of primal restoration."
"Apocalypse, you're thinking too much,"
Ron said slowly.
The sky seemed to sense his will, and suddenly dark clouds gathered and rolled, the sky instantly darkening, with silver snake-like lightning weaving and dancing within the clouds.
Whoosh, the strong wind blew.
Crack!
Bolts of lightning, radiating immense majesty, as if the heavens were unleashing their wrath, tore through the sky and struck down.
A spherical force field appeared around him, blocking the furious lightning strikes, and Apocalypse frowned in surprise, looking at Ron.
"What is this?"
These lightning bolts didn't feel as simple as ordinary lightning; they seemed to contain a more mysterious power, unlike typical Mutant abilities.
One lightning bolt after another struck down.
As the two confronted each other.
Swish, swish, swish.
"Save the children."
Behind Ron and the others, a Mutant team of dozens of members appeared via teleportation. Raven sternly ordered them to first rescue the X-School children standing on the ground, their eyes vacant, under mental control.
The Mutant team bowed their heads in acknowledgment and first teleported the children away.
Having received the results of Stryker's laboratory research, and after two years of study, Mutant modification surgery had become more mature.
Based on this, Raven selected Mutants from those who had been sheltered and established a Mutant X-Weapon team, serving as Umbrella's defensive trump card.
Each of them possessed the abilities of the original Subject 11, plus the ability of Fred, giving them a strength of over ten tons and a steel-like body.
"My knight, you may now fully indulge your destructive desires."
Within the spherical protective force field, Apocalypse gazed into Ron's eyes and, without turning his head, said to Red Tank.
"Kill."
Red Tank roared, his massive body, containing infinite power, charged like a giant tank towards Raven and the two others to kill them. The Mutant team, wielding long blades, attacked him, engaging him in battle.
The only difference between these surgically modified Mutants and Subject 11 was that not everyone had an Adamantium skeleton and an Adamantium long blade; the meteorite supply was limited.
But each of them was formidable, possessing powerful self-healing abilities, making them seemingly unkillable. Red Tank would punch several people, sending them flying like broken sacks, while others would teleport in from another direction to attack.
Among them were several elite Captains, possessing Adamantium alloy skeletons and long blades.
Bang, bang, bang!
"I'm going to crush you little bugs."
The sharp Adamantium alloy long blade pierced Red Tank's skin, and he cried out in pain, attacking even more furiously.
Each punch and kick possessed the terrifying power to easily sink a warship, shaking the Earth, but unfortunately, they couldn't break the Adamantium alloy skeleton.
Red Tank also had a healing factor, and during the fierce battle with the entire Mutant team, flesh flew, a brutal fight.
"We'll stop him."
Raven and the two others charged together towards Magneto, who was controlling and influencing the Earth's magnetic field, wanting to stop him. Under Apocalypse's mental command, Alex and the two others blocked their path.
"Apocalypse, your era has long passed."
The ordinary lightning he summoned could not break through Apocalypse's defensive force field.
Ron's eyes shot out plasma energy rays, scorching the air as they fiercely struck, blocked by Apocalypse's protective shield. He calmly and steadily increased his energy output.
