Chapter 48 - Chapter 47

Kimiko, the Female of the Species, wanted to retrace her steps, back along the path she was trafficked to New York.

In the crowd, Butcher and his two companions caught up.

Kimiko, with matted hair like a homeless person, saw them, recoiled, and jumped onto the tracks, trying to escape along the railway.

Suddenly, everything around her seemed to slow down.

At the end of the tracks, a blue figure ran at supersonic speed, carrying Kimiko on his shoulder, intending to leave.

"Hurry up and get this woman back, or Homelander will definitely kill me if he finds out about this."

As he ran, A-Train's heart was filled with anxiety.

Homelander had him transport Compound V to various locations, cultivating supervillains by sacrificing lives, and Kimiko was one of them.

But yesterday, a problem arose; a group of people had targeted this matter, and the imprisoned Kimiko had unexpectedly escaped her confinement.

The long platform flashed by in an instant, and in a blink, he was hundreds of meters away.

In the dark subway tunnel, a foot suddenly extended.

Bang!

A-Train's high-speed reflexes didn't react at all; he was tripped hard, and due to the immense inertia, Kimiko was flung out.

He became a tumbling gourd, rolling out of control for several turns before crashing violently sideways into the nearby wall.

"What tripped me? Damn it…"

Cracks appeared on the wall where he hit, and he fell heavily to the ground, groaning in pain while clutching his back.

"If people don't watch where they're going, don't blame the road for being uneven."

Walking slowly out of the darkness with his hands in his pockets, Ron's magnetic voice sounded.

"Don't you usually watch where you're going?"

"I heard you ran someone over into a pulp on the road a while ago; it seems you haven't learned anything."

"Dark Star, why are you here?"

Looking up and seeing Ron, A-Train's face was astonished. Why would he encounter one of the people he least wanted to provoke here?

"Why can't I be here?"

"No, you certainly can be here."

Meeting his icy gaze, A-Train, whose personality was to bully the weak and fear the strong, quickly waved his hands.

Ron had tripped him, and he had fallen so hard his bones felt like they were coming apart, but he dared not complain in the slightest.

On Dark Star's first day as a new member of The Seven, he pushed out The Deep and sent Invisible Man to the hospital.

After only a few quiet days, he caused another sensational global news.

As a new member, he challenged The Seven's old Captain, Homelander, and fought him on a deserted island in the Atlantic Ocean, almost sinking an island nearly a hundred square kilometers in size, displaying terrifying power.

"Dark Star, I still have some things to do, so I'll be leaving first."

He struggled to get up, moving his injured arm, carefully passing by Ron, whom he couldn't afford to offend, intending to pick up Kimiko and leave.

"M-maybe another time, I'll buy you a drink."

"Did I tell you to leave?"

A low voice, devoid of emotion, came from behind him.

"I-is there anything else, Dark Star?"

His body stiffened, A-Train turned around, forcing a strained smile onto his face. He had a bad feeling.

Dark Star appearing here might not be a coincidence.

"Leave the person."

Ron said coldly, expressionless, his tone more like an unyielding command than a request.

"No, I can't, this is the person Homelander wants…"

Years of fear of Homelander were deeply ingrained in him, and this matter concerned his own life, so A-Train blurted it out instinctively.

"Are you using Homelander to pressure me?"

He frowned and tilted his head, the killing intent emanating from him making one's hair stand on end.

"No, no!

How could that be?"

In the dim tunnel, a good place for murder and disposal of bodies, realizing he had said something he shouldn't have, A-Train's face changed dramatically. He backed away in fear, stammering and forcing a stiff smile.

"Who doesn't know that your strength is not inferior to Homelander's in the slightest."

"What I mean is, if I don't take this person back, Homelander might kill me."

Thinking of the crux of the matter, he asked nervously.

"Dark Star, what do you want this person for?"

Dark Star and Homelander don't seem to get along. Has he found clues about this matter and is using it to cause trouble for Homelander?

Could that group of people have been sent by Dark Star?

"Don't make me say it a second time."

Ignoring his question, Ron gave no answer, warning him.

A-Train was Homelander's loyal lackey. If it weren't for the possibility of Homelander falling under his control soon, he might have acted directly.

"Ugh…"

Kimiko, with her regenerative healing ability, recovered from her injuries, groggily opened her eyes, looked at the two figures not far away, and got up, wanting to escape.

Bang, bang, bang…

A-Train saw that things were going badly, disappeared from his spot, grabbed Kimiko's head, and rapidly slammed it against the nearby wall.

At super high speed, she was utterly helpless, suffering dozens of violent impacts against the hard wall in an instant, her brains turning to mush, and she fell unconscious again.

"Dark Star, please help me this once."

Having easily dealt with Kimiko, he put her down, turned around with a mournful face, and pleaded humbly.

The private smuggling and leaking of the company's Compound V and the secret creation of supervillains was no small matter. If exposed, even Homelander might be held accountable by the company.

He would most likely be killed by an enraged Homelander.

"Homelander will kill you if you don't take this person back?"

At this point, Ron asked.

"Y-yes."

Thinking he was about to agree, A-Train's face lit up with surprise, and he quickly nodded, begging for mercy.

"But what does that have to do with me?"

His tone was cold.

"Dark Star, I really can't hand this person over to you."

Seeing that things weren't going well, A-Train's expression froze. He gritted his teeth, turned, and, at his maximum speed, picked up Kimiko, intending to leave.

"You think you can escape from me with your speed?"

Ron raised an eyebrow.

The so-called fastest superhero in the world, A-Train, moved like a snail in his eyes at this moment.

In an instant, he was beside A-Train, casually tore Kimiko off, threw her away, pressed A-Train's head, and rapidly slammed it against the nearby wall.

The banging sounds almost merged into a single continuous line.

The scene replayed, only this time the one without resistance was A-Train, who had just acted. Possessing speed greater than the speed of sound, his head buzzed, his nose bled, his vision blurred, and he was about to pass out before he could even react.

Crack!

A foot slowly pressed down like a hydraulic press, accompanied by the sound of bones shattering.

"My leg, my leg is broken!"

With both legs crushed, the nearly unconscious A-Train was awakened by the excruciating pain, his eyes wide, his face pale, screaming, and his hands trembling as he reached for his legs.

Drip!

The sound of a subway train starting again after entering the station came from afar.

"I won't kill you; whether you can survive depends on your ability."

Ron picked up the unconscious Kimiko and teleported away, leaving behind a light chuckle.

"Without your legs, I wonder if you can outrun a high-speed subway train with just your hands."

"Hmm?"

Two beams of light illuminated the dark tunnel. The subway train was rapidly approaching from not far away, and A-Train's terrified eyes widened even further.

"No, devil, you are truly a devil!"

Under the threat of Death, he cursed and wailed, enduring the agonizing pain as he quickly crawled with his hands.

Ron was simply a more terrifying devil than Homelander. For a brief moment, his fear of Ron even far surpassed his fear of Homelander…
