Chapter 36 - Chapter 36 This is Impossible

Raven reminisced.

That indestructible skeleton and the incredibly sharp bone blades seemed to be physical abilities, but she couldn't replicate them, which was why she couldn't defeat her opponent.

Ron smiled but said nothing.

Raven couldn't replicate it because it wasn't an ability, but a post-modification—an Adamantium skeleton modification surgery.

That biological Weapon was Wade, a mercenary who used to be in X-Squad with Wolverine and Sabretooth. He possessed super-fast reflex nerves and a certain degree of physical enhancement, allowing him to slice bullets. Later, Stryker modified him into Weapon 11.

"For many days after that, Emma and I didn't dare to appear in public, controlling the company remotely from this room.

The person who orchestrated the attack already knew we were Mutants.

If he attacked us again in public and we were forced to reveal our abilities, everything we had built with our company would be in jeopardy now."

Raven recounted their decision after the incident.

"Your decision was correct.

That guy behind the scenes hates Mutants intensely, and he definitely won't give up attacking you again."

He praised them.

If a rapidly rising tech giant company, which had started to venture into medical and national defense, were to expose that its controllers were two Mutants, trouble would come in droves.

"Ron, you already know that the person who attacked us is that Brigadier General Stryker?"

Based on this, Raven's expression was slightly puzzled. She looked at Emma, and both of them looked at Ron.

"Brigadier General Stryker?"

Wasn't he a Colonel? He was slightly surprised.

It seemed that because of him, the World had changed a little again.

"Did you find out who was behind the mischief?"

After being attacked, Raven and Emma certainly didn't do nothing. They tried to find the real culprit behind the scenes and, after some investigation, found him.

'Smiling Boy' told them that after the Magneto incident, there was a Stryker in the Military who, due to his understanding and hatred of Mutants, was rapidly promoted within half a year, becoming one of the authorities in the Military department responsible for researching and responding to Mutant disasters, leaping to become the fastest-promoted Brigadier General in U.S. history.

He had reported to Congress multiple times, demanding an investigation into their company. The White Queen had been caught leaving some clues during her continuous acquisition of other companies using her abilities.

'Smiling Boy' secretly suppressed him, caught evidence of him wantonly conducting inhumane human experiments on Mutants, and had him expelled from the Military.

"But the President also has political enemies. His extreme ideology aligns well with some political parties' views on Mutants. After that, Stryker was 'protected' and disappeared, and his research might have continued to receive support until we were attacked."

Raven narrated.

"He was hiding in some dark corner, manipulating that biological Weapon to attack us."

"Days have passed, and we currently have no leads."

She and Emma had been actively trying to find him but hadn't succeeded yet.

"Just a little mouse causing trouble. It's not hard to catch him."

Ron chuckled, then ordered.

"Emma, go find someone for me. I hope that after I deal with Stryker, you can bring his whereabouts before me."

"Who is it?"

Emma asked.

"A rebellious young man who likes to play billiards with himself."

"Hmm?"

Raven and Emma exchanged puzzled glances. How could one play billiards with oneself?

Could he create clones?

And what would be the point of that? Only a truly bored person would do such a thing.

...

Stryker's son, Jason Stryker, was a Mutant whose ability allowed him to create illusions in others' minds. As a child, he couldn't control his ability, which led to the death of his mother, his wife. From then on, a heartbroken Stryker hated Mutants.

He believed Mutants shouldn't exist and didn't regard them as humans like himself, mercilessly subjecting them to various cruel human experiments.

"It's not difficult to find Stryker."

The next morning, in the black extended luxury car driving towards the outskirts, Ron sat between the two women, swirling the wine glass in his hand.

"Since he wants to kill you, you are the best way to make him appear."

After he took a sip, Emma promptly refilled his glass halfway.

"Ron, I already informed the company internally of today's schedule yesterday. President Raven will be going out of the city to inspect the factory in the suburbs."

"Very good. Now we just wait for that guy to release his little Wade for a second attack."

Stryker couldn't possibly not come. After all, he only remotely controlled Weapon 11. As for Weapon 11 itself, it was merely a replicable biological Weapon, at most a bit expensive to produce.

And he had the support of some political parties in America behind him, so these were not problems. America's printing press was never just for show; if they lacked money, they would just print it.

Whoosh!

Clatter! The tires rolled over pebbles on the company's convoy route to the factory.

Suddenly, a figure appeared by teleportation on the suburban road, mechanically raising its head. Its eyes, with their eyelids cut off and exposed, showed no emotion, cold and terrifying.

Incredibly sharp silver blades pierced through the flesh from the bone seams of its hands.

With astonishing physical strength, he leaped seven or eight meters high, raising the long blades and accurately pouncing directly towards the black luxury car, protected in the middle of the convoy, about to strike down fiercely.

"He's here."

Seeing this through the glass, Emma's body tensed. She quickly transformed into her stronger diamond state. If it hadn't been for Raven last time, she would have almost been killed.

Raven's tall, slender body tensed, ready to unleash powerful strength at any moment.

"Relax."

Ron, taking the two with him, scornfully smiled at Weapon 11 in mid-air, activating psychic teleportation and appearing on the ground about a dozen meters away.

Whoosh!

The silver blades made of Adamantium cut through the specially reinforced, bulletproof car roof as if slicing tofu, almost cleaving the entire car in half.

Bang! Bang!

The car, weighing several tons, lost balance, rolled over, and exploded violently.

Weapon 11 landed steadily on one knee, ignoring the panicked convoy, and, like a Beast that missed its prey, turned its head to look coldly.

In a distant underground laboratory, Stryker watched Ron on the computer screen through the micro-hole camera in Weapon 11's eye, frowning.

"Who is he?"

A question flashed through his mind, but he didn't pay much attention. He selected Ron's avatar and typed the kill code.

No matter who it was, just kill them all!

"All Mutants deserve to die!"

A faint, sinister expression appeared on his face.

"You two, step back."

Ron released Raven and Emma, telling them to retreat.

"Ron, be careful! His blade is the sharpest thing I've ever seen!"

As she and Emma retreated, Raven warned worriedly.

No matter what steel or alloy, it would be cut in two with one strike.

Whoosh!

Before she could finish speaking, Weapon 11 teleported in front of Ron, bringing a fierce wind as it struck down, breaking the sound barrier, and hitting him squarely.

With this strike, even an Iron Man made of titanium alloy would be cleaved open.

But the next second, behind the screen, Stryker froze, his face changing drastically as if he had seen something utterly impossible.

"This is impossible!"
