I don't know how long I've been unconscious.
When I woke up, the first thing that came into view was Deborah Hughes' stunning face.
"You're awake?"
The worry on Deborah Hughes' face instantly lessened.
She leaned in and asked with concern.
"This... where is this?"
Dirk Carter struggled to prop himself up to sit.
But the soreness throughout his body made him give up.
The surroundings didn't resemble a hospital, so he was somewhat uncertain.
"You're still at the rehabilitation center."
Deborah Hughes said.
Rehabilitation center?
Looking around, the entire room was as luxurious as a five-star hotel suite. However, the view outside the window confirmed to Dirk Carter that Deborah Hughes was telling the truth.
"The doctor said you've exhausted your strength quite severely, and you've got soft tissue contusions all over. Thankfully, no bones were injured. After a period of rest, you'll be fine."
Deborah Hughes said.
Dirk Carter nodded.
