"Ah?"
Declan Newhart didn't immediately understand what Dirk Carter meant.
Swallowing nervously, he said, "You see, it may look grand, but the income's not that high. I have a bunch of guys to take care of, and after everything, it's about a million in total."
Dirk Carter nodded.
He said, "The service at The Tonight Club is excellent indeed."
"That's all thanks to Rosie."
Declan Newhart said.
Dirk Carter glanced at Rosie.
He asked, "Has Boss Newhart ever thought about expanding The Tonight Club? The market in Ardmore City is vast. Each county could have a place like this. I assure you, business would be great."
"Director Carter, you're joking. I'm already struggling with this one; where would I find the money for several more?"
"I'll provide the funds, and you handle the management. We'll split the profits fifty-fifty. How about it?"
Dirk Carter's words startled Declan Newhart.
He asked, "You'll fund it?"
