Chapter 26 - Chapter 25 - The Void Walker.

Jack's body screamed with exhaustion as he dragged Luther Draque's limp frame out of the alley. The man was like a dead weight; worse than Zane had ever been. With every step, Jack's arms ached, his shoulders burned, and he couldn't help but mutter under his breath.

"Feels like I'm carrying a damn tank… What the hell is inside this guy? Scrap metal?"

Luther's mechanical arm hung loosely, glinting faintly under the pale streetlights. The heaviness wasn't just from muscle. Jack could feel the density of that cybernetic frame. Still, he pressed on. His lungs filled with the night air after the suffocating intensity of battle, each breath tasting like relief and ash at once. He wanted nothing more than to collapse, but the job wasn't done.

And then; she appeared.

A girl stepped from the shadows just as Jack turned a corner. She was striking in a way that almost made him stumble. Long dark hair framed her face, her lips parted in a sly smile. She looked no older than him, maybe a year younger, 16 maybe but carried herself with a mixture of innocence and boldness that immediately put Jack on edge. She had that innocence of a school girl but yet the sultry, sexy demeanour of a twenty year old .Her boobs were massive and her face was intensely captivating, and the blouse and short skirt that she wore, leaving very little to the imagination, only serving to assentuate her perfectly curved shape. Her gaze locked onto his face, masked now, locked after shielding himself during the brutal fight.

"I saw everything," she said softly, her voice trembling with excitement. "That fight… the way you moved… teleporting like shadows dancing between walls. I've never seen anything like it,is it some new weapon."

Jack narrowed his eyes. His instinct screamed danger. He shifted Luther higher on his shoulders, ready to blink step away at the first sign of trouble.

She tilted her head, smiling wider. "I thought you wore that mask because you were disfigured. Or ugly. But… turns out you're insanely handsome." Her eyes traveled over his features in open admiration. "Sexy, even."

Jack clenched his jaw. "What do you want?"

"You're not much of a talker, huh?" She laughed lightly, pulling a slip of paper from her pocket. "An autograph. Just a signature from the city's most famous bounty hunter."

Jack sighed, exasperated, but took the paper and scrawled something quickly. She beamed and tucked it away. "And… a selfie." She raised her holo-phone, but Jack's glare froze her in place.

Jack stood still,waiting for her.

" Can you take the mask off,it would really make the picture better."

"No",Jack said coldly.

She pouted, brought out her holo phone and quickly took a picture.

Her smile faltered for only a moment, then returned, sly and playful. "Fine. But you can't blame a girl for wanting proof she stood this close to a legend." She stepped closer, almost brushing against him. "Nobody else saw you, if that's what you're worried about. Just me."

Jack set Luther down against the wall, moved in a flash, and pinned the girl gently but firmly to the brick with one hand around her throat. Not enough to hurt, but enough to make a point. His voice dropped low, dangerous.

"Did anybody else see my face?"

Her eyes widened not in fear, but in thrill. "Aggressive type. I like that." She licked her lips, then answered. "No. I also didn't take any photos. No one else saw."

The girl suddenly pinned Jack up on the wall."Maybe we could take this to my place, after all this;she said pointing at Luther.I could give you all the styles.I would make you feel really good, the best time of your life".

She then proceeds to take Jacks hands to her ass and then to her nipples."Don't you want this, don't you like that".She whispered in that sexy voice of hers".

Jack squeezed her ass ;the soft, buttery warmth quickly enlarging his dick.and then she closed her eyes slightly opening her mouth savouring the moment and then Jack took his hands to her gigantic boobs pinching her nipples tightly.

She moaned.

~~Aahh~~

Her moan quickly snapped him out of the trance and he immediately stepped back.

Jack released her with a frustrated sigh, scooped Luther back up, and turned to go. But the girl stepped forward, pressed a folded slip of paper into his free hand, and whispered close to his ear.

"If you feel like celebrating… or getting a drink… I'm always available. Just call."

Jack didn't answer. He turned and walked away, her eyes lingering on him until the night swallowed him whole.

The bounty station loomed ahead, its walls glowing faintly under neon floodlights. As soon as Jack pushed through the heavy doors, enforcers scattered across the hall snapped to attention. Weapons leveled, blades hummed, and rifles aimed directly at him.

"Hands where we can see them!" one barked.

Jack shifted Luther's weight, unimpressed. "Really?"

The bounty officer emerged from his office, eyebrows raised. "Didn't think you'd be back so soon. Here to turn yourself in?" His tone was mocking.

Jack barked a short laugh. "Turn myself in? For what? I've done more cleaning up this city than half your men combined."

The officer's smirk widened. "For the property damage at that little club scuffle. Thousands of credits down the drain."

Jack's eyes flashed. "Oh, so your enforcers never destroy property? Never harm civilians when they're swinging their weapons around?"

The officer held his stare for a long, tense moment… then chuckled, waving a hand. "Fine, kid. You win. Drop him."

Jack dumped Luther onto the reinforced floor with a grunt of relief. Immediately, four enforcers rushed in, straining as they dragged Luther away. Jack massaged his sore arms, muttering again about carrying cinder blocks.

The officer's gaze followed Luther's retreat, then flicked back to Jack. "You've got some nerve, kid. And maybe something else too."

Jack's eyes lingered on the way they took Luther through.

"I'll take my credits now," Jack said flatly.

"Patience." The officer's smile curled. "Why don't you come take a look first? At where we keep them. Since you're the one who caught them, you've earned a peek."

Jack hesitated. "…Allowed?"

"Not at all. But I'll make an exception."

They descended into the underground cells, a long steel passage humming with generators. The walls gleamed with a faint bluish sheen. Jack brushed his hand against one and felt how unnaturally dense it was.

"Durasteel," the officer explained. "Layered with Titan plating. Near indestructible. Built to hold monsters."

Jack didn't comment. He just followed.

Inside the holding block, criminals snarled and jeered from their cells, their faces twisted in hate. Jack's gaze locked on one chamber where Luther lay on a cot, medical bots scanning over him. The moment Luther's eyes opened, he saw Jack's masked face through the glass. His bravado shattered instantly. He shrank back, curling into the farthest corner, trembling like prey before a predator.

The officer smirked. "Gave him the willies, did you?"

Jack only chuckled under his breath.

Then they passed Zane. His once-cocky face was battered, eyes bloodshot, but his grin was feral. He staggered up to the glass, his voice a manic rasp.

"I don't know what you are… what tricks you use… but dangerous people are coming. You'll need me. You know where to find me."

Then, suddenly, he burst into hysterical laughter, rolling on the ground of his cell like a madman.

"He's finally cracked," the officer muttered. He keeps pratting, over and over again about how you could move from one place to another without the aid of weapons or your feet;you don't know anything about that,do you.

Jack chuckles nervously a drop of sweat, quickly sliding down his forehead"No,as you said he's finally cracked."Jack was nervous, sweating. His mind immediately thrust into disarray.

The bounty officer looked at him, suspiciously for a minute before turning away,"I guess you are right".

As they passed Jack looked up and glanced subtly at the cameras, the heavily armed guards, situated at the post 24/7"There was no way anyone was breaking out of here."

They turned away.

"What'll happen to them?" Jack asked quietly.

"Trial," the officer said with a shrug. "Could be life sentences. Could be… well, something less merciful. Death.Depends on the judge."

Jack looked one last time at Luther trembling in the corner, at Zane cackling like a lunatic, then turned away.

Back upstairs, the officer handed him a data chip. "8,000 credits. Hard-earned."

Jack pocketed it.

"And your name?" the officer pressed. "Last time you said I'd find out."

Jack hesitated, then straightened. "You can call me… the Void Walker. Void for short."

The words seemed to hang in the air. The enforcers shifted, some exchanging glances. The officer's eyebrows rose, then he chuckled. "Void Walker… catchy. Fits."

As Jack turned to leave, the officer called after him. "You'd make a hell of an enforcer, kid. Benefits, pay, security. Ever thought of peeling off that mask?"

"No." Jack didn't even slow his pace. "To either."

At the doors, one enforcer stepped in his path, hand on his sword. Jack tensed, but before it could escalate, the officer barked, "Tony. Drop it. All charges are off."

The enforcer moved aside. Jack strode out into the night, inhaling the fresh air deeply.

For a moment, he stood still, staring at the stars. The weight of the battle, of the killings, of the near-death moments pressed on him. But he was alive. And stronger.

His hand slipped into his pocket. The slip of paper the girl had given him crinkled between his fingers. He pulled it out, read the digits glowing under the streetlight."I need to celebrate this, this is big".

A faint smile touched his lips. "I can't sit in that motel alone, forever. Maybe… just this once."

He tapped his holo-watch, the number glowing as he considered calling.
