Smiling like a madman who's been given a name. Absolon slammed his blade into the crust of the Tetra, shaking the ground as his form began to change, letting off the heat of star. He slowly dragged his right hand up to the sky, extending a single finger as everything around him began to lift up off ground. Even the sky grew silent to scared to make a sound.
"If that's how you wanna do this then you won't get far. You better reach for the heavens, you'll get no mercy from the stars."
With a flash and a band the world itself started to shake as even the sky seemed to lag behind. The mountains, the valley, everything that was before his seconds ago had begun its inevitable ascension into the sky, going even further beyond the blue sky and the white that curved around them in a swirling helix being pulled apart. They were going to the boundless space of The Nexus, the heart of it all. A phenomena given a fitting name for the destruction it cause. The-
"Void's Call."
Looking back a his family as he crosses over the boundary of the sky, Absolon smiles and turns around to face the Enigma. Looking beyond its eyes, Absolon peered into its very soul as his eyes began to pulsate, springing forth eight white rings from the bright red center of his eyes. Each orbiting it at top speeds forming a white ring around the flaring red as Absolon stares the Enigma down with only one thought in his head.
You tried to take my family from me, now I'll take your life.
"You were better off playing a dead man, I would of let you crawl out of your grave. But you choose to show yourself and we both know I can't let you go. Chaos's dogs must be put down."
Before the Enigma could even react, it was already hurling fast pass the planet, deeper in space than the star and before it could even begin to transform Absolon's blade began to burn bright before its eyes. Creating a massive explosion as it strikes the Enigma and leaves not a trace behind.
From below Iramo watched in awe as he vanished and his mother held him tight. Celebrating as she pulled Iramo in close and tucked his head into her chest, watching the blinding light block out the sky.
"HE WON!! You see bum bum's there's no reason to cry. Your daddy's super strong he'd never lose to that guy."
But in an instance her face full of pride fell apart the moment she heard ah crash, ah bang and my father's lie. The moment he uttered those words, the excitement become worry and the joy became fear blocking the light in her eyes. But even in her eye's dulled reflection, I could see the purple figure looming over the sky.
"Don't worry my love, I won't die on you today. But this monster doesn't know how to control itself when it's sent out to play. I'll be gone for a while. So take care of yourself and our son, Ira. I'll be okay."
A man can carry his world but can only bear so much weight at one time. It takes more than strength to keep going, it all depends on your mind.
But for the ones you love, you'll gladly give your sanity and even your time. Anything to get to see them one last time.
Pulling away from the blast, Iramo was thrown right into his mothers chest as she carried them further away. Soothing Iramo's tears as her calm voice slowly shutters with rage.
"Hey look at me… don't be scared. The man I love won't let some lost dog ruin his dream. Your daddy's the strongest there's no way he'll lose you just have to believe in him."
He doesn't look like he's okay but mom might be right, dad's ten thousands times stronger than me. But what if he just needs somebody to be there to have his back?
"Are you sure?"
I am one hundred percent sure but right now my love, I need you to close your eyes and remember what we taught you to in case of an emergency okay?"
"But- I don't want to leave you! I can help you and dad fight!"
It doesn't matter what I say now though, the moment she grabbed my hand I knew she had already made up her mind.
"I know you can baby but now's not the time to fight, you can help us but going as far away as you can, we'll be fine. With me and your dad fighting him together we'll beat him in no time and go straight for you!"
She sold me the dream alright she even gave me a kiss goodbye but I see it all to well now, that was a sugar coated lie. The only version of the truth I could swallow if I we're to live another day. I was gullible, weak, and far too young.
It's terrifying to think about losing him but as soon as she grabbed the sides of my face in her hands… I trusted her. I just knew somehow, someway that everything would be okay. Not because I had some sign, some confirmation that it'll all turn out just fine. It's because of that kind warm look in her big brown eyes.
That look alone was enough for it all to be okay. And if it isn't? I know that they'll both find a way. But as much as I believe it, as I want to believe it… why aren't they here today? I wanna know that more than anything but it's scary to think about the reasons why. An after a scene like that, right now the most comforting thing I could imagine is a lie.
So it doesn't matter if things look bad until I see them again with my own two eyes, their still fighting for me! I won't believe they died! There's nobody in this world or the next who would believe it without saying goodbye.
Even if it's my own memories I won't believe it until the day I see them again!
"Is this everything?! Is this what you wanted?! Show me what happened in the end!"
But no matter how much I screamed out and cried the wind never came. But I did hear another voice, a warm one that softy called my name, coming from beyond the sky.
"How long are you gonna stay sleep Iramo? I really need you now."
Sometimes it is not what you lost that will keep you going but the things you pick up along the way. Because it only takes one good thought to keep the bad ones at bay.
