Chapter 138 - Cap.125 - Spear

-Do you want me to forge a weapon for you? Do you know my standards?- The old man asked curiously.

Ringo didn't answer, but began to take out the items he had brought, Void dragon bones, as well as various other materials that, although not very strong, could still be used to form Grade A weapons.

The old man looked at the materials with curiosity, especially the Void dragon bones, his eyes gleaming slightly.

He began inspecting each material before starting to look excited. -That's good, not something truly revolutionary, but still good materials. What do you intend to use as payment?

-What do you want?- Ringo asked, already knowing what the old man would ask for.

-For some of the materials, I want Maktru and bones from the Void Dragon.- the old man said.

-How much?- Ringo continued.

The old man grinned broadly, pulling back the wrinkles on his face. - Ten kilos of Maktru, one hundred of Void dragon bones.

Ringo's lips trembled fiercely. -Why don't you go and steal?!

-Goodbye.- Ringo picked up his materials and turned to leave, but the old man didn't stop him and Ringo didn't turn around either, he knew the old man well.

Ringo walked slowly, heading straight for the teleportation portal. Just as he was about to pay, a wrinkled hand landed on his shoulder, his expression filled with resentment and irritation. Bradd was right there.

-You brat! You were really leaving?! You know there's no better Alchemist and Forger on this planet than me! - He said angrily.

-I can go to the Hidden Red Robe Abbey.- Ringo pointed slightly upwards.

Bradd's eyes trembled with bitterness, those Mages from the abbey weren't moving easily, but with such good materials at stake, he felt there was a good chance they would accept.

The Void dragon bones in Ringo's hand were of the highest quality, coming from Void Dragons as strong as Grade A peaks, he knew these were materials that Mages revered.

Void dragons can reach peak Grade A strength, some rare ones can even reach Grade S strength, unfortunately Ames probably already used some of those, if there were any when she found the graveyard.

-Alright kid, you win, let's talk at my shop.- The old man said irritably. The next moment, they were back at the old man's shop. Ringo didn't even realize how he got there, this kind of direct teleportation was really problematic.

-Tell me first which weapon you want.- The old man sat down in his chair, looking at Ringo and scratching his sparse beard.

Ringo wanted several weapons, but decided to start with one for himself. - I need a weapon with a soul, it needs to be alive.

Ringo chose this type of weapon for two reasons, first, his evolutionary power could only affect living beings, with a living weapon, he could improve it himself, second, Bradd possessed the soul of a Void Dragon!

Bradd's eyes widened slightly, he was more curious about Ringo, but he didn't ask much. -Kid, what you're asking me to do is very difficult to do. A weapon of that level with living properties... it's going to be expensive, not to mention the materials and you don't have enough for that.

Ringo knew this, which is why he didn't want to pay so much just for the produce, he would "bleed" more on materials.

-How much?- Ringo continued.

-Let's not talk about that first, but you know that weapons with living properties have serious problems, don't you? A weapon like that has a will of its own, if it likes you, its power increases greatly, if it hates you, it might even hinder you or try to kill you. Are you sure you want that?- The old man asked curiously.

-Yes, I do.- Ringo didn't care, with his Nightmare ability, he could handle it perfectly. Besides, with his evolutionary ability, the weapon would surely like him. How could you not like someone who makes you stronger?

The old man clapped his hands, feeling encouraged, he preferred this type of client, this type of weapon was worth his time.

-I have some perfect supplementary materials for this, you're in luck, I have both a few pounds of biometal and a Grade A peak Void Dragon soul.- The old man said, smiling happily.

-How much?- Ringo asked again.

-20 kilos of Maktru for the soul, 100 kilos of Void dragon bones of that caliber for the biometal and finally, 5 kilos of Maktru for the produce.- The old man finally spoke.

Ringo's lips trembled, he wanted to strangle the old man, but he knew that if he wanted that weapon, that was a fair price. Although Bradd had profited quite a bit, the labor of such a powerful Mage wasn't cheap.

-Done! - Ringo spat the words forcefully.

Bradd's laughter echoed through the store. Delighted, he stood up and asked. -What kind of weapon do you want? What are its properties?

Ringo began to think, he wanted something like Thor's Mjolnir from MCU, not a hammer, but something indestructible that no one else could pick up and that had the ability to return to his hand on its own. As for the type of weapon...

Ringo didn't find himself liking hammers or axes like Thor, swords? Too generic and he doesn't really like them. If he had to name his favorite cold steel, they would be bows and spears. He already has a bow and for Ringo's fighting style, a short-range weapon is the best option.

-The spear needs to be sharp and indestructible. If it can increase its own weight to prevent others from grabbing it and if it can return to my hands with a simple mental command, even better.- Ringo explained.

The old man raised an eyebrow, they are relatively simple properties, but they complement each other well. -No problem, but in addition, I'll use Void Dragon Bones, so it'll have some of its abilities as well.

Ringo readily agreed and Bradd asked what design he wanted, or if he could do it however he wanted.

Ringo began to think and soon remembered a spear that he had admired for a long time.

He picked up a piece of paper and began to draw, soon, the sketch of a spear appeared before Bradd. It was a perfect black and white copy of Gae Bolg, thanks to Ringo's high intelligence attribute and good motor coordination, he managed to perfectly draw Cú Chulainn's weapon.

The color wasn't important, after all, it would be made with bones from a Void dragon, so it didn't make sense to ask for it to be red. The abilities would also be different.

-Nice design.- Bradd nodded. -Okay, take the materials, come back in a week.

The next moment, Ringo took the materials and placed them on the workbench, along with Bradd's payment. As soon as he finished, he found himself back in the teleportation area, his lips trembling. If he hadn't seen the future, he would have thought Bradd had robbed him.

Shaking his head, Ringo walked towards the teleportation array. He had work to do this week, knowing Bradd's fondness for rare items, he would scour this planet to trade materials with other mages.

He had many weapons to create, at least one for each of his wives, his mother and even Li.

As for Trax, Rick and Slugcat? That's a story for the future.
