Goku stared at Broly seriously. After thinking for a moment, he lowered his aura and slowly landed in front of him.
He wasn't sure if Broly was just pretending, or if he had really calmed down.
"You're… Broly, right?" Goku asked with doubt in his voice.
Something about the Broly in front of him felt different.
He looked confused, not cruel or bloodthirsty like before.
"You… know me? But… we've never met, have we?" Broly asked, his green eyes full of confusion.
From what he remembered, this was the first time they had ever met. Could it be this man had only heard of him somewhere?
Goku narrowed his eyes, his sharp gaze looking like it could pierce straight into Broly's heart.
"What… what happened to me?" Broly asked, still dazed.
After observing him carefully, Goku was sure of one thing—
This Broly wasn't the same Broly he knew from his own world.
Once he confirmed that, Goku finally relaxed.
"It's nothing. I just got it wrong. Since you're not the same Broly I knew, then I don't have to worry anymore," Goku said, dropping his guard completely.
Broly lowered his head. "I don't know what happened… but thank you. I've been trapped by this power for so long. If it wasn't for you, I might've stayed a raging monster forever… maybe never woken up again."
For Broly, Goku wasn't just an enemy anymore—he was the one who saved him.
Goku grinned. "Don't sweat it. Honestly, I had a blast fighting you. It's been a long time since I've had this much fun. Other than fighting Beerus, you're the only one who's pushed me this far."
He could sense it—Broly still had power deep inside him, power even scarier than what he'd already shown. If unleashed, it might even surpass Goku's own Super Saiyan 4 God Blue form.
Broly tilted his head. "Wait… did you just say 'this world'? You mean… you're not from here?!"
Goku nodded. "Yeah. Let me explain."
He didn't hide anything. Goku told Broly why he had mistaken him for someone else, and what happened in another world.
The two talked for about ten minutes. Goku told him all about the other Broly he had fought in another timeline.
When Broly learned that in another world he had battled Goku as a bloodthirsty monster, his eyes widened in disbelief.
"In another world… I'm that crazy?!" Broly gasped.
It was like two opposites—this Broly, who hated fighting humans when calm, and the other one, who lived only for destruction.
Goku crossed his arms. "Honestly, when I first saw you, I thought you were the same as that Broly. But I was wrong. People from different times and worlds… they end up walking completely different paths."
With that, Goku turned around and raised his hand. In the broken dimension around them, he slashed down with a sharp hand strike.
FWOOOSH!
A giant crack opened in space, connecting straight back to Universe 7.
"Let's continue this talk somewhere else." Goku touched two fingers to his forehead, then held out his other hand to Broly.
Broly hesitated for a moment… then grabbed Goku's palm.
With one thought, Goku used Instant Transmission. The two crossed dimensions and reappeared back in their universe.
On Earth.
The planet was still in ruins, slowly healing. Life was returning, but it would take decades—maybe even centuries—to truly recover its former beauty.
"We're here," Goku said.
Broly looked around, his face falling at the sight of the wasteland. "Did… I do this?!"
The memories of his rampage were blurry, but he remembered destroying countless planets. Could Earth have been one of them?
Goku shook his head. "Relax. This wasn't you. Someone else did this. And I already took care of him. So you don't have to blame yourself."
Broly let out a quiet sigh of relief. But then, something else came to his mind. He looked at Goku seriously.
"Goku… since you're not from this world, does that mean you can go back to your own someday?"
Goku nodded. "Yeah… not now, but one day I will. Why?"
"If I can, I want to go with you. I want to fight the other me. I want to see with my own eyes what makes him so different from me."
Broly's eyes burned with determination.
Goku smiled softly. "Sorry, Broly… but that won't be possible. The other you… he died a long time ago."
"What?!" Broly's jaw dropped.
He had been ready to face his other self, maybe even knock sense into him. But now, there was no chance.
Goku looked a little guilty. "His soul's probably already been judged and reincarnated by King Yemma. Even if I went back to that timeline… he wouldn't be there anymore."
Broly clenched his fists, silent, his thoughts heavy.
Goku already guessed what happened to his old world.
The moment the Shadow Dragons were released by Masked Black Goku, he knew it was over. That world was probably destroyed, just like this future timeline.
I just hope the Other World there wasn't as messed up as the one here… he thought.
Hearing the sadness in Goku's voice, Broly's expression softened. He felt bad for him.
"Come on, Broly. I'll take you to meet my friends," Goku said, shaking off his feelings and leading Broly toward West City.
Meanwhile, in Beerus' World…
Whis watched with surprise as Goku and Broly appeared out of the dimensional rift.
At first, he thought their battle would end with one of them dead. But instead… they had shaken hands.
No, it was more than that. Goku had actually forced Broly's real personality to awaken, breaking him free from that berserk state.
Whis tapped his staff, smiling.
"Oh my, Son Goku… you truly carry a power even gods should be wary of. If you ever fought with your full strength… I wonder just how far you could go."
The angel chuckled as the glowing vision in his staff slowly faded away.
One week later…
Since the battle with Masked Black Goku and Broly, the world had been peaceful again.
The few surviving humans finally crawled out of hiding, realizing the Dark Man was gone. Now, they could start rebuilding their lives on the surface.
As for Goku and Broly…
For that week, Broly stayed on Earth with Goku.
Part of it was because he still feared losing control again. But another part was because Goku was the only one in the whole universe who could stop him.
In just one week, the two grew close. Goku learned about Broly's past, and Broly learned who Goku really was. Before long, they weren't rivals—they were friends.
It was crazy to think that in another timeline, Broly had been Goku's most relentless enemy. Yet here, they were training together.
Goku discovered Broly's pure nature. And after confirming he wasn't a threat, he taught him how to control his power.
At first, it was rough—Broly's strength was too wild. But as the days passed, his talent showed.
He became calmer, steadier, and more in control. Not perfect yet, but way better than before.
Watching his growth, Goku couldn't help but be amazed.
This guy never trained a day in his life… and yet he's improving this fast. If someone guides him right… his potential is limitless.
Of course, Goku didn't slack either. In that same week, he stabilized his own form, pushing Super Saiyan 5 to its peak. His power hadn't jumped much higher, but now he could use every bit of it at 100%.
West City, Capsule Corp.
The time machine broke through space-time again, landing in the ruined city.
Out stepped Trunks, Future Goku, and Future Vegeta.
"I'm back… This time, that fake is going down for good!" Future Vegeta growled, still seething at the memory of being humiliated.
Future Goku nodded. "If we fight alone, we'll lose again. This time, we strike together, Vegeta."
"Tch. Don't remind me, Kakarot," Vegeta muttered, clearly hating the idea but knowing it was true.
Trunks clenched his fists. "That Dark Man… I won't let him destroy our future again!" His aura flared with determination—stronger than before.
Back on Mount Paozu…
Goku was in the middle of teaching Broly more control techniques when suddenly, his senses flared.
He felt the presence of his past self, Vegeta, and Trunks—they had returned.
Finally… they're here.
He turned serious. After the lessons of their last defeat, he knew they'd come back stronger.
Broly noticed the change in Goku's expression. "What's wrong?"
Goku smiled slightly. "It's nothing. Just that… the guys I fought before have returned."
Then, a bold thought struck him.
"Hey, Broly. Wanna test out your training results?"
Broly's eyes lit up immediately. After a week of only learning control, his Saiyan blood was burning for a real fight.
"Of course!" he shouted, fists tightening. He could feel it—his power was sharper, steadier, and stronger than ever. Now was the time to prove it.
