Chapter 34 - Chapter 34 – The Sect’s True Legacy

After extracting every last piece of information, the playful smile on Su Meier's face finally faded a little.

With a turn of her delicate hand, a pitch-black token appeared in her palm. The token was neither gold nor jade, yet it looked brand new. As she injected a strand of spiritual energy into it, countless fine and intricate azure patterns surfaced across its face.

Closing her eyes, Su Meier seemed to engrave all the intelligence she had just obtained into the mission token. Once finished, she casually tossed it onto the table and leaned back into her usual languid posture.

Not half an incense stick later, two figures radiating powerful auras suddenly appeared in the center of the hall.

The one in front was tall, his expression cold and stern. His hawk-like gaze swept across the room, finally landing on Su Meier."Junior Sister Su, you've worked hard," he said, his voice utterly devoid of emotion.

"Senior Brother Wu, you're too polite," Su Meier replied lazily. "It's just mutual benefit."

Without further words, the sect envoy walked straight to the table and picked up the mission token. After quickly scanning its contents and confirming them, he turned back toward Su Meier. His tone remained formal and detached."Forgive me."

Before the words had even finished leaving his lips, he stepped forward and pressed the icy token against Su Meier's forehead before she could react.

Hum—

A formless ripple spread outward from the token. Su Meier's body jolted, her eyes turning blank and vacant in an instant.

But just as quickly, clarity returned to her gaze.

The envoy retrieved the token and walked to each person present, pressing it against their foreheads in turn.

The white-masked attendants trembled in fear, but none dared resist. Each of their eyes briefly turned dazed, then returned to normal.

When the envoy finally approached Liu Meng, she instinctively stepped back half a step.

"Don't be afraid," Su Meier soothed. "This is sect regulation. To prevent the leakage of mission intelligence, everyone involved must undergo 'cleansing.'"

"This token will erase all mission-related memories from your mind. Nothing else will be affected."

Only then did Liu Meng realize—the sect had such a strict rule!

She stopped resisting and allowed the icy token to press against her forehead.A strange power surged into her sea of consciousness, carefully seeking out every memory tied to the secret realm… and wiped them away completely.

The process was instantaneous. When Liu Meng regained her senses, all she remembered was that she had extracted some crucial intelligence—but what it was, she no longer knew.

What neither Su Meier nor the envoy realized, however, was that the world still held one loophole—The "Myriad Avatars System."

The cleansing had erased Liu Meng's memories… but Liu Ming and Liu Liu, stationed far away in another cave residence, retained full knowledge of the secret realm. They remained completely unaffected!

"Junior Sister Su, your reward will be determined by the value of this intelligence," the envoy said in his usual flat, businesslike tone.

"I understand." Su Meier smiled and nodded, unconcerned.

The envoy then departed quietly with the female cultivator, leaving the hall in silence once more.

Lounging lazily on her couch again, Su Meier curved her lips into a smile at Liu Meng."Well? Even if you don't recall the specifics, you at least remember what Xuanpin Gate's task is, don't you?"

Liu Meng nodded respectfully.

The core duty of the Xuanpin Gate was to pry open the mouths of the stubborn and extract confidential information for the sect—by any means necessary.

Indeed, a fitting role for Xuanpin Gate.

"Of course, not all sect missions are like this," Su Meier explained casually, seemingly in good spirits. "You could also try your luck at the Mission Hall. Sometimes there are simpler jobs—like cultivating spiritual herbs or gathering beast bones."

"The rewards may be small, but at least they're safe—provided you don't foolishly stumble into someone else's trap."

"Liu Meng, your cultivation speed is too fast. You've spent too little time within the sect and haven't seen enough. If you're ever uncertain, come ask me—or even your Senior Sister Qin Shuang."

Outwardly calm, Liu Meng was startled inside. Was Su Meier hinting that she already knew about her alliance with Qin Shuang?

Before she could think further, Liu Meng quickly pulled a blood-soaked book from her storage pouch and presented it with both hands."Master, this disciple has accidentally acquired this manual. Yet I cannot discern its origins. Please, examine it."

"Oh?" Su Meier's gaze fell upon the blood-colored book, curiosity flickering in her eyes.

With a wave of her hand, the book transformed into a streak of light and flew into her grasp.

But after reading just a few pages, all trace of her former laziness vanished.

"The Blood Feast Scripture! This… this is the genuine Blood Feast Scripture!"

Su Meier shot to her feet, clutching the manual like a priceless treasure.

She could hardly believe it—but the details recorded within matched perfectly with the legendary demonic art she remembered. This had to be real!

Pacing back and forth, she muttered excitedly,"The Xuanpin Scripture is the foundation of our Xuanpin Gate. The Blood Feast Scripture… is the founding art of the Blood Feast Valley! Who would've thought… who could've imagined… that I would obtain it!"

Feigning ignorance, Liu Meng asked softly, "Master, is this technique powerful?"

"Powerful?" Su Meier's voice trembled with fervor. "It is far beyond powerful!"

She took a deep breath, her eyes softening as she looked at Liu Meng."Do you know of one iron law in our Grand Dao Heavenly Demon Sect?

Disciples of one mountain gate may never learn the core techniques of another. Once you practice one sect's scripture, you are forever barred from the others."

Liu Meng's heart trembled. She asked with curiosity, "Then… what if someone did cultivate two sect's core arts? Would they be hunted down by the sect?"

"Hunted?" Su Meier chuckled. "No. Far from it. They would be exalted as a True Legacy Disciple."

"No matter the method—if someone manages to obtain and cultivate two core sect scriptures, it proves they are blessed by fate, chosen by heaven itself. Such a person would never be suppressed. The sect would pour every resource into their growth, for only they represent the true future of our Demonic Sect!"

"Liu Meng, you've rendered me tremendous service today. With this Blood Feast Scripture, my standing within the sect will soar. My resources, my authority—everything will rise!"

Her tone shifted suddenly."It is only a pity for you. From the start, you cultivated the sub-scripture of the Xuanpin Scripture. The soul imprint is deeply rooted. For this life, you will never escape it, nor qualify as a True Legacy Disciple."

"But don't worry." Su Meier's smile turned alluring again. "Once I become a True Legacy Disciple, I will not treat you poorly. Whatever you desire, I shall give you."

"Thank you, Master, for your graciousness! This disciple is willing to face fire and blade for you without regret!" Liu Meng dropped to her knees, feigning gratitude.

But deep inside, she knew Su Meier's words of regret were nothing but lies.If she ever broke free of Su Meier's control, her master would likely kill her without hesitation.

Still, from this conversation, Liu Meng had confirmed two things:

First—the Blood Feast Scripture Shen Qingyun cultivated was indeed genuine. Even Su Meier could not detect flaws.

Second—this scripture likely had no "sub-manual" restrictions. Otherwise, Su Meier's suspicious nature would never allow her to begin cultivating it so readily.

And so, in Liu Ming's heart, a bold new plan began to take shape.

Perhaps… he could have his true body—and every one of his avatars—practice the Blood Feast Scripture!

If he nurtured three avatars to the third layer of Qi Refinement, and then had Liu Meng control them all with the Xuanpin Scripture…

Then Liu Meng would instantly shatter her bottleneck and step into the mid-stage of Qi Refinement!

And beyond that—The secret realm that only mortals could enter… could also be probed by avatars.
