Chartreuse…Monday…
"That Beverly girl seemed so confident on her words." I said to Jinx as we walked to our lockers. Everyone had training as their next class so we all had to go to our respective specie classes. I am a Ganeth while Jinx, according to his name, is a bad luck conductor. Sheridan is a werewolf so we all have different places to be.
I just wonder why they had to put training in the afternoon. It makes no sense to me.
"She looked so confident and I actually thought she lived during that time." Jinx said.
I nodded when I thought about it. Jinx could be right. Beverly might have lived during that time but then, why is she here?
The bell rang and I waved Jinx bye before walking out of the school building to the fields.
Ganeths were like lower demons in rank but not in strength and they are related to the rare creature called Zaneth. The difference between them is that Ganeths can manipulate magic from their emotion while Zaneths does that with people's emotions.
Arriving at the field, I brought my head down so the bullies wouldn't notice me. I actually shared this class with the boy I hate, Evan and the girl I hate, Sandra. She was a fogron and she always tried to throw herself at leader of our football team leader, Jace.
"Alright everyone, we are pairing up today." The teacher, Mr. Sean said. He was an easy going teacher but don't mess with him. He is an ancient demon which makes him feared but Evan has disrespected the old demon so many times that I can count no more.
Everyone moved about to pair up with those they knew or liked and some stupid bitchs girls went for Evan.
Don't they know the idiot is bent?
"Woah. Hold one everybody. I will do the pairing." Mr. Sean said and no one dared say a word and I think Evan was not in the mood today.
"Jace and Norman, Fyne and Gordon…" I raised a brow.
Was Mr, Sean literally pairing up enemies?
I chuckled as I watched people move together with their assigned partners with scrunched up faces.
"Chartreuse and Sandra."
WHAT?!!!
I actually forgot I had an enemy but at least someone else could have been better. Others got lucky to get people whom they could manage.
Sandra smirked at me and pulled me towards her; "I hope we do punching bags today because you would make a good punching bag for me."
I gulped. This girl was born to make my life in school hell.
Evan got paired up with a girl and I could tell he doesn't like it. I huffed. The guy doesn't even liked being paired up with guys. Who was he waiting for?
Jinx of course.
I turned away as Mr. Sean called us around.
"There is an inter-school hunt coming up in the Ashtern Forest. We are to chose the best from each specie to represent our school. So right now, we are working on team work. You all are gonna be fighting against each other but you will have to work with your teammate. There will be no killing and there will be some werewolves around to help those who may lose their senses." Mr. Sean explained and I sighed.
This teacher should just expect this place being turned to a battle field because from the looks of things, there isn't much teamwork to be done.
"Alright everyone. At the count of three, you all should battle. One…two…three…"
Mr. Sean barely completed his sentence and everyone began to battle. I wanted to use that as an avenue to run away because I wasn't interested in the inter-school hunt but Sandra held me back.
"You represent me, Chartreuse." She pushed me towards to chaos and I ended up kissing the ground. I tried to stand up but someone kicked me by mistake making me topple over.
I managed to get up but another person hit my face.
Okay, that was it.
I punched the next person I managed to see and since it happened to be a boy, I gave him a strong kick in his crotch that could send him crying home.
Tapping from my anger, I let the energy flow down to my fists and I punched the hondux that came by. I was so annoyed that I kept on kicking, slapping and punching any demon that posed as a threat before me.
In the end, my self and Evan were the only ones standing. It turns out I beat his teammate and he beat up mine also.
What a coincidence.
Mr. Sean looked confused as he stared at the sprawling demons on the floor. They tried getting up in vain.
"You both did very well. This is actually progress but not in the way I thought though. You all did not work with your teammate but anyway, you can all go to your classes. I have to start training Evan Ville and Chartreuse Neon."
Evan looked at me and I looked at him also. I guess he doesn't want me as his teammate as much as I don't want him either.
He turned to Mr. Sean; "I can totally work on my own. Working with her will only slow down my pace."
"Oh, you take that back." I frowned, my voice hoarse from my partial transformation. Ganeths like myself find it hard to come back to normal due to the fact that the emotions we tap from are ours.
"Make me." He scoffed and began walking away.
The guts of this boy. I am gonna consider plucking them out one after the other.
"You all can leave now. Ms. Neon. I would like to have a word with you." Mr. Sean said as I began leaving the place. I paused and looked back at him "In my office."
I nodded and followed him to his office. The little walk calmed me down a bit. I just wanted a cold bath now in order to cool off completely.
We arrived at his office and he told me to sit down.
"I don't want to beat about the bush but you need to understand that Evan isn't ordinary." Mr. Sean said.
"Point of correction Mr. Sean, none of us are."
He shook his head: "He is a strange demon. Very rare but so dangerous."
