Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Death

In a medium size Mansion.

"Please don't leave us" ten kids were surrounding a bed crying for the old man who was dying of his old age.

"Kids, after my leave my friend Rajan will take care of you", after remembering something he said, "yeah do not give headache and be good to him". After saying some words to his kids, Samuel closes his eyes, blacked out and he lost all the noise's that he was hearing.

When he opened his eyes, he saw himself floating in space and when he turned back to see the whole earth as well as many people like him coming and floating beside him.

He was seeing some people panicking but then relaxing after realization of their death, some chuckled after their dumb way of dying while some were crying of their own death.

"Hey grandpa, how are you feeling after your death" A boy of around 16 years old giggling by Samuel's side.

"I…I just want to rest in peace for once", said Samuel after hesitating, seeing that a kid is talking to him so casually after his own death.

"Rest in peace, huh?" the boy said with a sympathetic nod. "Well, that's a common wish. But peace isn't always what you get in the afterlife. We have our own ways of finding it—or not."

Samuel glanced around at the other souls, each dealing with their newfound existence in their own way. The boy seemed to sense his curiosity. "You're probably wondering what happens next. The truth is, there's no single answer. Some of us find our way to peace, others get caught up in their unresolved issues. It all depends on what you do with your time here."

Samuel took a deep breath, realizing that his desire for peace would need to be sought out actively rather than simply expected. "So, what's your story?" he asked the boy, hoping to learn more about this strange new realm.

The boy's eyes brightened, and he smiled. "I'm Alex. I wasn't too old when I passed, so I've got a lot of questions just like you because I have been stuck in this space for 7 years. I was a shut-in in my life, always reading novels and looking for the next new novels. It turns out that the afterlife is full of surprises, and I've been trying to figure out how to make the most of it. It does look like one of the novels that I read in past, like the main character dies and its soul goes out into the universe and all souls gather in a big palace or someone like an angle take all souls and make them fight each other and the winner get to choose where he wants to get reincarnate or stay in with them as an angle or something like it."

Samuel felt a chill at the thought of conflict among souls. "Wait, you mean there are souls that have to fight each other? That sounds... terrifying."

Alex shrugged, his expression a mix of seriousness and casualness. "Not everyone ends up in those kinds of situations. It really depends on what you're holding onto from your past life. Some souls might find themselves in places of conflict if they're still clinging to old grudges or unresolved issues. Others might find a peaceful existence or even new purposes."

Samuel's mind raced. He had hoped for a serene afterlife, but now it seemed he would have to navigate a complex and unpredictable existence. "So, how do you find peace here?"

Alex's smile softened. "It's different for everyone. Some people work through their regrets, some find new ways to connect with others, and some discover things they never knew they wanted. It's about making the most of the situation you're in and understanding that peace is something you have to seek actively."

Samuel nodded, taking in the boy's words. It was clear that the afterlife was not the simple rest he had envisioned, but rather a journey of its own. He glanced at Alex, who seemed to have accepted this reality with a sense of adventure. "Do you have any advice for someone just starting out?"

Alex thought for a moment before replying. "Be open to new experiences, try to let go of past baggage, and be willing to explore. And most importantly, don't be afraid to ask questions. This place is strange and new, but you can learn a lot if you're willing to look."

Samuel took a deep breath, feeling a flicker of hope amidst the uncertainty. The path ahead might be challenging, but at least he had a guide and with a new perspective. As he looked around at the other souls, he realized that finding peace in this new existence would be hard and a journey in itself—one he would need to embark on with both courage, curiosity and adventure in mind.

When he was thinking all this, he heard Alex saying, "Don't think that much, even I don't know that what I said is even true because it all comes from different novels. So don't think much and just wait".

When they were talking, they came out of the universe, see galaxy, black holes and many different thinks. He was calm in the whole travel but Alex was showing many different types of faces like surprise, dreaded, annoyed, interest, scared, funny.

All people around him were enjoying the serene environment but Samuel was thinking of the path that all were going to.

He was excited and discouraged, excited for the new adventure and discouraged because he won't be able to play video games in the new world. That was the thinking process because of Alex's story.

He had a regret of not playing games, making friends and adventuring with them. He had a friend because of their family situation. He has regrets, just because of his family's influence and power he couldn't live his life the way he wanted.
