Chapter 13 - 013. Bunk beds

He watched the senior run out of the room, leaving them alone, themselves in a new environment to figure out with one word of warning.

'Do not enter the store room. Is that really supposed to help us? Probably should have told us what was in the store because I bet a lot of people are going to get curious and open it anyway.' He sighed, setting his bag down beside him.

The room he stood in wasn't their main bedroom. It was like a connection between all the rooms. It was well lit, though, with a silky white curtain on all the windows, making the blue light from Aurivon colour the room in its blue-white beauty.

On the left side of the room, there was a demarcation that led up a small stair into another room, he didn't exactly tell them where that led but Cheryl could guess that it was the door to one of the dorms.

And when he glanced around, he could note more demarcation just like it, indicating five separate dorms.

'Hmm, five dorms with over a hundred of us. So it's practically twenty to twenty-five per dorm.' He guessed, still noting down more information about the room.

'I wonder why they would do that with all the money they have. They should be able to fix up something nice for the students.' He grunted, shaking his head.

There were different materials arranged properly in the room, which was none of which he was familiar with. So he simply chose to ignore those items and skip to the ones he was familiar with.

He picked up his bag again after his arms stopped, aching from holding it for so long. He walked up to the bathroom door and creaked it open to view the inside.

It was extremely well ventilated with three windows on each corner. A door sat at the corner with a sign boldly written "Toilet".

'That much is pretty obvious.'

He walked to the door and opened it as well, noting five other doors inside the room that was supposed to be the toilet.

"Now that's weird." He whispered with a raised eyebrow.

With his bag still tightly strapped behind him to avoid touching the bathroom/ toilet floors, he counted the doors again.

Without a thought, he opened one of them and there was a toilet in it. The second was another bathroom, but smaller compared to the one in the other room.

The others turned out to be bathrooms as well, with the last one having a toilet included in it.

'Five bathrooms with two toilets. Well, it should work out well for those who wake up early enough, but there should be someone to keep watch for those who tend to mess up the toilet and run away.' He nodded to himself.

'This area is clean and usable.'

Stepping out of the bathroom, he met everyone settling down in each of the dorms.

'Right, I have to pick a good spot.' He rushed into one of the dorms.

The dormitory was just as he anticipated, bunk by bunk arranged opposite each other continuously until the end of the room, which stretched down.

'This is inconveniencing.' He sighed, walking through the pathway in the middle of the bonks left for movement.

Almost all the bunk beds in the room had already been taken by the other students, and he was left with the ones at the end which would definitely make him late if they were asked to run out because of danger or an emergency test.

'Well, what was I expecting when arriving late?' He sighed, still moving forward.

With a sigh, he turned and left the room to try his luck in finding a suitable bunk bed for the other rooms.

As expected, the last room had space in the middle row, allowing him to escape even if it wasn't as easy as those at the front.

He dropped his bag on the bunk bed below, though no one had occupied the one above. He just had a preference, in addition to the option that he could easily hide under his bed in times of trouble.

'Sounds suitable enough' he glanced to the end of the wall, where a double drawer sat.

Probably one was for his bunk mate, and the other was for him to drop their items in, like uniform, writing materials, combs, and the rest.

Below the drawer sat a shoe case for their school shoes, but it was already occupied by two shoes each.

'Wait..!' He turned around and glanced at everyone within the room at that moment and noticed they were mainly males within the serenity.

'I've come to realise, it's mostly males. How come I haven't noticed there aren't any females here up until now?.' He glanced back at his bunk bed.

'Must have never crossed my mind, though I saw female students at the assembly hall.'

Just then, a female student walked into the room with her hand held tightly on her bag hand with a small tint of fear on her eyes.

Her hair wasn't long, just below the neck. Her eyes were brown, which complimented her dyed brown blue hair.

From a distance, she looked like a male, but with a careful look, you could notice the small curves on her body.

'The only female in E tier?,'

He couldn't help but stare at her for a while, as he arranged his properties on his side of the bunk bed.

She settled down on the opposite side, going down to the end because males kind of felt dumb, or at least that's what Cheryl felt, she thought.

"Finally done unpacking!!" He heaved a sigh of relief, falling down on his bunk bed to feel its cold nature.

Unlike the bed in his room, this one felt unusually hard with a rougher material.

But he couldn't care less because his body was aching from moving around so much. He wasn't used to this kind of physical strain yet, but his upcoming train will fix all that.

"Hey!, you must be my bunk mate." A groggy voice asked as Cheryl laid face down on his bunk bed.

'Please be someone reasonable.' Cheryl wished, his face still planted on his bed.
