My fingers tug at his shirt, the fabric tearing under my grip, and I feel Eric’s hands on my shoulders, his lips moving lower, trailing fire across my skin. It’s raw, consuming, the kind of heat that could burn this whole pack house down. 

I want more—more of Rick, more of Eric, more of this bond that makes us whole, even without her.

“What the hell are you guys doing?” a voice snaps, sharp and raw, cutting through the haze.

I freeze, my lips still on Rick’s, my hands gripping his hair. I turn my head, slow and deliberate, and there she is—Lia, standing in the doorway, her eyes wide with shock, her face a storm of fury and something else, something that makes my wolf howl. 

My smirk widens, slow and deliberate, as I meet her gaze, letting her see every bit of the monster she hates.

Chapter 30: Edge of the Abyss 🐺🔥🌙


I jerk back, my heart slamming in my chest, my eyes locked on Dean's face, his dark gaze piercing through me like a blade.


Fear coils deep in my gut as I glance around. The woods are dark and thick, trees looming like silent threats, their branches clawing at the pale glow of the moonlight.


The cliff's edge is close, a jagged drop glowing faintly in the dark. I look back at him, my voice shaky but sharp.


"How did I get here? What am I doing here—did you kidnap me?"


He tilts his head slightly, a slow grin spreading across his face, his voice low, almost teasing.


"Kidnap you? Why would I do that? Besides, that's my question, Lia. Do you sleepwalk all the time, or what?"


I frown, my voice hard, confusion mixing with dread.


"I don't sleepwalk. Never done it in my life."


He stands, brushing dirt off his hands, and holds one out toward me, his eyes steady but glinting with something I don't trust.
